PAISLEY'S POV "Bend down, Paisley!" Killian's voice called out loudly, before I could register what he said, I heard a gunshot making me scream as I fell to the ground and the bullet hit the glass partition which surprisingly turned out to be bullet proof. The gunners kept spreading the bullet obviously trying to get me but I was lying flat on the balcony floor, crying, screaming and trying to crawl into the room. Before I knew it, Killian drew out a gun from his back pocket as he matched into the balcony not even a bit scared that a bullet might hit him. There was a long gun battle between Killian and the gun men and I was so scared for him but suddenly the guards downstairs started shooting too and distracting the gun men from us. "Killian, you risked yourself!" I cried as I jumped into his body, I noticed the blood stain on the left side of his chest as tears rolled down my eyes. What if it affected his heart? "Babe? Your chest" I panicked as he pecked my lips. "It
KILLIAN'S POV Daciana had tried convincing me to go set things right with Paisley, but I was way too guilty and nervous about going, I knew how angry Paisley was at me for my petty rage, and I was scared and worried if she would forgive me. Tomorrow was the oh so Charity ball Paisley desperately wanted to attend, and I wanted to take her there and make her happy. Paisley had been inside Daciana's room since my outrage, and she hadn't come out since then, according to Dacianas report. Paisley had been curled up on the bed, crying. I was mad at myself for putting her in that situation, and I really wanted to walk into that room and get my girl back; I slept alone in the room last night… Who am I kidding? I spent half my night standing outside Dacianas door, walking to and fro in the hallway, contemplating if I should just get in but… I couldn't. Instead, I returned to my room's balcony and had an early morning beer. I didn't want last night to repeat itself ever again; I cou
KILLIANS POV I had finally gotten my mate, and we were both excellent. We had a makeup sex that she surprisingly initiated. I was convinced that I wasn't the only one missing their partner; Paisley surely missed me. Possibly more than I missed her. I had been planning the Miami trip with my best buddies, Allison and Killian… Yes, Killian, my namesake. The beach setup was already completed by the decorators we hired, and pictures were sent to us. However, Killian insisted on going over to Miami to confirm the look and sent back a positive response. I was sure that Paisley was going to love the beach and how peaceful and natural it looked; I couldn't wait to take her away from my troubles. I wanted her to bond with my friends and, of course, their wives; I wanted her to be friends with them possibly; hence she has no friends and also doesn't want to be cool with Daciana. Allison and Killian had confirmed that their wives couldn't wait to meet Paisley, and that made me look for
PAISLEY'S POV "Thanks for bringing me here, Babe," I said with a bright smile as we walked into the ballroom. Killian might be hot-tempered, but; I acknowledge him for always trying to please me the best way he can. He is sweet to me, just me. I have never seen him smile at other girls besides me and… Sometimes Daciana. I know for sure that Killian didn't want to be here, but he had to sacrifice his comfort to make me happy. "Anything for you, My sweetness." He replied, staring at me as he gently spanked my butt, not minding the couple behind us. "You know we are in public, right? And you really should ease your grip around my waist; you surely don't want these people thinking that we are horny." I whispered into his ear as he chuckled softly. "Don't make me prove them right, Love." He smirked as I rolled my eyes. "What did I tell you about rolling your beautiful eyes at me or my words?" He reminded me as I kept mute, not wanting to cause an argument. "I'm sorry," I sa
KILLIAN'S POV I paced back and forth in my home office as I spoke to my father on the phone, I was fuming in rage and agitation. My Alpha coronation was supposed to be after sixty days but my father had made me shift it to ninety days after convincing me that I needed more time with my mate. Ninety days ends next month; which means that I have just twenty-seven days left for my coronation and now my father is trying to make me postpone it again. "Hey, listen to me, Killian. I am your father and I won't make a decision that wouldn't be good for you, I have been the Alpha of this pack for many decades and I know the left and the right of everything." I heard him release a soft sigh as I bit my lower lip, I was raging and my father wasn't helping by preaching the father sermon to me. I wanted him to give me a good point on why I shouldn't be coronated quickly. "Dad, you're still not giving me a clear reason…" I hissed and sat back on my swivel chair, I kept my phone on the tabl
PAISLEY'S POV I yawned loudly with my eyes still shut as I felt my skin on a new mattress surface, the air I inhaled was a chill one so as the one I felt on my skin. I knew that we were already in Miami but I still couldn't believe it. Miami has always been a big deal for me and being here is a dream come true. I didn't want to open my eyes just to find out that I'm still in Mexico and that the flight trip was also part of the dream and… Killian's besties! That can't be a dream. "Wakey wakey, My love. Even if everything is a dream, at least I'm not and I'm in Miami." The very recognizable voice resounded in my ears as I gently peeled my eye lids up and turned to my left where Killian's voice came from. "Madelyn made dinner, get up, let's go join them in the dining room" Killian announced as I sighed and sat up on the bed. "Why do you suddenly look so big, or is it just me?" I ignored his statement and slid off the bed. "How long have I been sleeping?" I asked with my very
KILLIAN'S POV Morning Sweetness, the morning turned out to be earthly and mesmerizing as I had imagined it to be. Don't get me wrong, for sure I have been to lots of beautiful beaches and places but… There is something about this one, not the Miami Beach itself but the feeling around here. Having Paisley around makes every normal thing extraordinary, the early morning wave from the ocean was chill, the palm trees waving their leaves around from the heaviness of the cool breeze. Everything, every feeling feels better, almost like I never noticed the beauty of nature. Like I have always been alone and loneliness blinded my view of earthly beauty but now, having my mate around me makes a whole lot of difference. Soft arms gently wrap up around my waist as the body which I would always remember, rested on my back. "Morning, Killian Wesley." She inhaled and I smiled, rubbing my palm gently on her arm. "You woke up so early before everyone else, why is that?" She pulled out and re
PAISLEY'S POV It's been almost a week since we came to Miami and we were to vacate soon, my stay here wasn't bad at all. I got to know another side of Killian which I never thought would exist… The playful and friendly side of him, his relationship with his friends was one of a kind. Even when they get mad at one another, they cover up with laughter. Not to get me all wrong, Killian is playful and friendly but to only me. I never saw him joke or smile at anyone else until his friends. His friends, Allison and Killian were both nice to me even if my mate drew a boundary between me and them. As for Madelyn, Allison's wife. Well… My relationship with her isn't as I thought it would be, I expected us to be buddy's and then probably turn out to be bff's but… Seems like my thoughts were just being feathery. Madelyn is a nice lady, she is basically the chef here and happily gets food into everyone's belly… I later found out from her husband that she just loves cooking. Madelyn a
