I lay looking at the ceiling.

It was eleven at night and I had been laying here for half an hour debating whether or not I should get up and go find Carlos.

I hoped that Carlos understands that if I had been rude in walking away earlier that it wasn't intentional and that I had to de-escalate the situation or there would have been a blood bath and I for sure would not want to see either of the two men in action nor would I ever want to think of either of the two men harming each other.
