ONE YEAR LATER. JAN. 05. 2021
Lyra held her phone to her neck as she flipped the egg in the pan. The phone rang and she waited for Kat to pick up. A month ago, Kat had given birth after her marriage to Phil. Lyra had to go to Paris for the wedding, it was more than enough to drown her sorrows of being jobless, but after returning, she began an endless hunt for a job.
She'd applied at nearly every single company she could find, but for some reason, they always turned out to not be interested. Later, she got to find out that her former boss had used his connections to stop her from getting hired sh had to move away to Ocean City to get away from him.
Lyra was starting to give up hope of ever finding a work until she came across a job offer. She knew next to nothing about working in an hotel. She was merely a marketer. But she was determined and ready to take it. She was sure she could handle bein
Marcellus jaws dropped wide open and his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as he stared at the woman in his office. He'd recognize that scent and face anywhere. "Bloody hell!" Were the only thing he could make out as he stared at the female figure in his office when he stepped in. How was she here?! Why was she at Avlon? He gasped, figuring out she was the one he was interviewing. Was she here to seek revenge?! Nights after nights, Marcellus had tried to purge her blood out of his system. That addictive taste plastered itself in his head and he'd almost attempted to find her on several occasions. Her blood was unlike anything he'd tasted. Rare and intoxicating–not to even mention the pure darkness, the raw power he'd felt in that few seconds he'd drank from her. He'd drowned in the oceans of alcohol to forget how good her blood felt on his tongue, how bad his soul craved it, and how h
"No bloody way?!" Kat repeated again. Confusion evident in her voice."Yeah. That was all he said." Lyra replied as she tugged at the pillow on her queen sized bed, she leaned against the headboard. This wasn't the first time she didn't get the job, but it was usually during the interview, or after. But this– this wasn't any of that. He looked like he'd seen a ghost. And the next thing was 'no bloody way.'He felt familiar to her being in an unfamiliar way. She couldn't help but wonder if they'd met before. Could he have been a displeased customer? She highly doubted that."That's weird. And you've never met before? " Kat asked again."No. We've never. Not that I recall." Lyra sighed, raking her fingers through her hair. Today was a total waste of effort."What are you going to do now?"There was nothing Lyra could do. At first she'd thought
Marcellus Marcellus had his black silk robe and black pants on. A smile crept up to his lips as he tugged the cigarette between them, nesting his glass of liquor on the table beside the couch he sat on. He recklessly swung his other arm behind his head.Lyra, as she'd called her name said nothing after he'd given her a three–day offer. She merely just walked away. But he was confident—too confident to say the least. He could tell she found his offer irresistible, he saw desperation in her eyes when he'd gazed into it.He saw hesitation and restraint in them, but he was sure she would break and would come running back to him in the next three days. Either of them had what the other wanted; she wanted a job, he wanted her blood. It was a win–win situation for both of them, even though she knew nothing of his intentions towards her.He couldn't help the smug smiles that found thei
LyraJan. 09.2021She'd accepted.Lyra found his offer too irresistible and too good to be true, but she couldn't turn it down. At the dawn of the third day, she'd mailed her response and he'd sent his manager to come pick her the fourth. She was desperate. She could only assume he also was if he'd decided to pay such a huge sum of money for just a mere secretary at the expense of her living with him.Of course she'd tried to figure out why she had to live with him. But she could find no suitable explanation or reason. He probably could eventually turn out to be a serial killer or a sick psychotic maniac who found pleasure in luring women to his house by flaunting his wealth in their faces.Kat was totally against the idea. But after Shannon had assured her multiple times over the last tw
MarcellusThat particular scent drove him straight to the kitchen. She was here, her blonde hair was up in a messy ponytail. But his brother also had the audacity to make steak in his kitchen without his permission."I don't remember asking you to cook for me. Angel. Just because I let you stay, doesn't mean I have given you access to my house." Marcellus scowled. Why couldn't Angelus just stay where he'd put him? After Angelus had bugged him too much last night and wouldn't go away, he had no choice but to agree to him staying at his place. They might have been a twin, but they were only similar in appearance. Their personalities was far more different. For one, Marcellus had always thought Angelus to be lousy and ridiculous. Marcellus had to hold back a scoff, he'd been at the doorway for a while watching the way the new woman gawked at Angelus' body and also the way Angelus'
LyraLyra fumed for an unknown reason as Marcellus dragged Shannon out of the room, not even acknowledging her presence in one bit. Leaving her with his twin. Well, from the little she'd noticed, Angel was carefree and easy going. His name surely did reflect in his personality—Angel. They were completely non identical. Their faces and body size—height included, was exactly the same. The only visible difference was that Angelus had freckles and dimples when he smiled. But there was no way to know if Marcel had dimples since she hadn't seen him smile. She had to settle herself in, and begin with work. She couldn't wait to start working again. She'd been lazing around for far too long."So sugarplum, how did you get caught up with a lunatic like Marcel?" Angel asked, placing a fine chinaware on the table. From the delicate patterns on it, Lyra could
Marcellus "What?! " Marcellus turned back, gazing at her. Unsure of what she meant.Lyra hastily dropped down the bed, walking towards him."It was you. A year ago, you saved me." She spoke again her voice quivering.Marcellus' eyes bulged wide open in surprise. That was impossible! There was no way she would remember! He...he compelled her. Noone could resist compulsion. Except they were a bloody werewolf!! But she wasn't, she was just a human—wasn't she? He blurred towards her, wrapping his fingers around her neck.Lyra gasped as their skin touched, his cold ones sending shivers down her spine. Marcellus pushed her against the wall. Her pulse leaped and her heart hammered frantically at her chest. The crimson in his eyes seemed to burn brightly from confusion, his fangs popped out on their own and a vein of worry and dismay protruded f
LyraThe door to Marcellus room opened and Shannon led in two young females who seemed to be in their twenties. They had a white see through robe on that revealed everything underneath. Lyra watched bewildered as they trooped in."They're here," Shannon acknowledged Lyra with a smile before turning to Marcellus who was now sitting on the black leather couch in his room."Danny and Melanie at your service, your Lordship." The two girls curtesied happily.Marcellus hummed before gesturing with his hand, pointing to the space beside him. Shannon seeing this as her cue to leave walked back out of the room. The two girls shrugged down their robes, leaving them unclad. Their porcelain skin glowed and something behind their necks caught Lyra's attention as they wiggled their hips toward him.The reddish–pink welts behind their neck had a name which
Feb. 30.2021 Lyra. Days passed and she patiently awaited him in the condo Leon had dropped her off—per his orders. Why she'd ended up in Queen'sbridge was unknown to her. She'd remembered Marcellus calling Shannon and the next she was been told that—as per his orders, she had to leave for Queen'sbridge. Leon had brought her to a condo which he promised was off vampire limits and that none could enter without and invitation. The house looked spacious and quite empty with tons of furnitures and stuffs but too big for just one person. But that was it, no calls except for his strict instruction to keep indoors until he said otherwise. She sat on the sofa, gazing at the peach wallpaper and decor thst made the house looked like it should have belonged to a fiveteen year old who enjoyed playing fairytale princess. Tapping at her screen she saw the numbers displaying the time say 7:00pm. Looking at the notification which consisted of nothing but a message from candy crush that she'd need
After flying for what seemed like many hours they finally came to a halt at the front of a that very mansion gate, the very one he'd dreaded. They both took their human form and Leonardo brought out a crescent shaped pendant, fixing it in the crescent shaped hole the gates opened and they all walked in.When they'd gotten to the big doors of the Mansion, it swung open and the butler stood in front of the entrance."Welcome home master." He said courteously.Marcellus couldn't help but get this feeling of déjà vu, it was all happening the way it did the first time he'd visited home a year ago."Out of the way already. Or would you rather I stand outside?" Marcellus spat, obviously shoeing his unlikeness for the aged man."That's no way to speak to an elderly man."Marcellus chuckled at Lucille's remarks, "could he ever be as old as me?"The butler moved hurriedly out of the way, bowing to apologise, "I'm sorry
The duo stared at the obviously ignorant Leonard who ate the chicken wings with delight. He sighed, a pleased expression lighting his countenance."You're undoubtedly the best chef in the world. I'd give you a thousand out of hundred." He commented."Cut the crap. Why the frigging fuck are you here?" Angelus settled for colorful strings of curse whilst he stared at his brother whose color was up—if he had any."Not the proper way to treat a brother, don't you think?""You're in my house uninvited. You're not my guest you obnoxious little prick." Marcellus fumed. The zero-haired girl beside him placed an hand on his shoulders and he tapped away at it, pointing an hand to the chair opposite him she walked towards it."Come on brother," he continued nonchalantly."If you sit on that chair I'd make sure that's the last thing you do." Marcellus spat before his eyes shifted colors. The girl r
Not understanding what she'd meant, he dragged her forward with his hands on her hips. "Hell, you look more sexy with the horns on. Can we fuck now?" He breathed huskily before pressing her against himself. "Not yet gummy bear. Patience." She giggled excited. She stared at his equally glowing eyes, mesmerized by them like she'd never seen them before. "I love your eyes, let's go kill people, please don't say no. "Kill people?" He paused staring at her as she gazed at him eagerly with puppy dog eyes he chuckled, "I'm not letting you kill anyone." "why?!" She cried out dramatically, rubbing her temples in frustration, "you're like an apex predator, shouldn't mass murder and massacre be at the top of your list? Imagine what the two of us can do, we'll rain carnage on humans," He arched his brow. His once harmless human was talking about mass murder and massacre
All she could keep track of was him dragging her out of the room, wearing her a pink robe that layed around the room then hurled her over his shoulders. The next moment he ran at a very fast speed that made everything around her blur and her stomach churn with nausea. When he got to a big building in the city she saw him flying; which kinda reminded her of a scene from superman with Louise Lane. When he'd gotten to the rooftop, he dropped her down and sat at the edge."Where are we?" Lyra questioned as she struggled to not stumble over, holding her stomach she retched."Don't tell me you feel sick?""Who wouldn't?! You—"Retch."Fucking—"Retch"Ran—"Retch, retch."The whole way here!" Wiping her lips when nothing came out anymore, she turned to face him. "You carried me all the way here like a sack of potatoes!"He rolled off into a fit of laughter she saw h
Feb. 21.2021Marcellus Spooning her he watched her snore peacefully through the night. Something was wrong, that he could tell and whatever had happened between them last night was her way of trying to get rid of whatever guilt that had embedded itself deep inside her chest. But she wasn't ready to tell him what it was that burdened her. Her chest heaved and she pressed herself closer into the curve of his body, placing his hand just beneath her bosom. Hell, he was beginning to like this human—his human, his little demon. But he wasn't meant to feel these feelings, all he'd wanted at first was her blood and a few romps between the sheets and not care about her as much as he did now—liking her was never part of his plan. But he did anyways, he liked her and he was going to keep liking her as far SD liking was concerne
Opening her eyes she sighed; having gotten used to losing consciousness and waking up. She noticed her boots and jacket had been taken off, her throat felt dry and parched like the sand in the Sahara desert, spotting the jar of water on the table she dragged herself over, fectched herself a glass. Downing the first, she fetched herself a second and when she reached her third, the door to her room opened and a worried, shirtless Marcellus walked in. "Marcellus," she rushed over to him, throwing her arms around him. He let out a sigh, stroking her back gently he pulled her closer into his cold embrace. "I'm so sorry for letting you go through all these. I should have been there for you. I should have—" "—Marcellus," she cut in, nuzzling her nostrils into his skin her tongue dashed out to taste his skin. "I want you like, now." Her arousal flared and her core throbbed a
Her eyes slowly opened taking in her entire surroundings which looked dark and devoid of any light except for a single candle burning afar off. She tried to move her arms but it seemed to have been restrained. When she jolted back to consciousness she noticed she was in a basement with chains strapped to her arms. Trying to summon her powers; which proved to be impossible, her eyes caught the markings of a sigil on the floor. "What the fuck?" From across her eye view she saw the door open, "finally. You've awoken. Howdy do sugarplum?" "Angelus." She smiled, "do you think you can help take this off?" She motioned towards the chain. He chuckled instead, shaking his head when he walked closer, "that doesn't work on me—well, not with your powers kept in check. Besides, Marcellus would not like that. Don't you agree with me?" "You didn't strike me as one who'd see a
Feb. 20.2021 Two days ago. A truck driver passed by only to spot a naked woman at the other side of the road, he drove on but unable to leave her there he turned back. Dropping from the vehicle he rushed over to where she sat her arms wrapped around her knees her head buried between her thighs she sobbed. "Are ya alright lady?" The middle aged man who seemed to be in his fourties asked. She lifted not her face but continued to sob. "What is a woman like you doing naked by the roadside? Do you need help? Are you lost?" He reached out his hands to touch her but suddenly she let out an eerie laughter which nearly made him stumble back in fear. When she lifted up her head and glowered at him the flames in her eyes burned brightly. He staggered back, "what...what are you?
