Chapter 2: First look

Lagertha's POV:

A loud blaring could be heard throughout the room, causing a small groan to escape my lips.

As I turned my body over I end up hitting someone in the process causing them to let out a groan as well.

"Sorry" I mumbled out as I continued to reach for the bed side table before hitting the off button for the alarm causing the room to go silent except for the sound of our breathing.

Laying on my back I begin to let my eyes adjust to being awake.

"No" I whined out while rolling over pulling the blankets over my face thinking about the fact that today is Monday which means it's a school day.

I hear a laugh coming from behind my back causing me to roll my eyes.

"Come on we have to get up and wake up Miles he went to the couch last night" the deep voice said pulling my shoulder so I would look over at him.

Staring up I looking into Lucas' crystal blue eyes.

"Okay" I let out, a little pout on my lips causing his face to light up as he let out a small chuckle.

I smiled widely at one of my best friends before reluctantly prying the blankets off of my skin.

Letting out a little yawn I exit the bedroom heading to the couch.

Looking out at the couch I see a well built structure laying on it, no blanket or pillow just a mop of dark brown hair and some grey basket ball shorts.

Walking over I bend down on the front side of the couch before gently running my finger nails over Miles' back whispering out his name causing him to start to stir.

"We have school, you gotta get dressed" I stated only to get a scrunched up face of disgust before he let out a long ew while he turned to lay on his back lightly huffing.

Looking up I see that Lucas is now standing in the hallway his lengthy body figure leaning against the door way.

A smile plastered on his face, his blue eye's sparkling while he shakes his head at our best friends antics.

"See" I started while standing up and pointing down at Miles my gaze not leaving Lucas' "we should stay home, you know, sleep and eat" I started gaining a glare from Lucas.

Quickly my gaze was torn away from the boy when my body was pulled down onto another.

Looking down I see Miles' emerald eyes finally wide open causing me to smile "see Lagertha gets it" he stated while pulling me down once again so that we are now both laying on our side's his arm around my waist "we need sleep" he continued.

A heavy sigh was heard from the other side of the room "no, we gotta go today" Lucas said sternly.

Suddenly he's coming over to us and prying Miles off of me before lifting me up and bringing me back into the bedroom.

He plops me down on the bed silently before going over to the wardrobe.

"Why you got some girl to impress" I ask teasingly while wiggling my eyebrows causing Miles to laugh as he plops down on his stomach next to me on the bed.

"No, but I heard something should be happening and I want to know what it is" he said annoyance filling his voice.

"Oh, joy" Miles said sarcastically while grabbing his clothes from Lucas' outstretched hand.

"You know that saying, curiosity killed the cat" I started as Lucas handed me an outfit as well "don't be the cat" I said walking into the bathroom in order to change.

Looking at the clothes Lucas gave me I smile in approval while putting on baggier black pants, a tight black cropped tank top, my black combat boots before I attach some metal chains to my pants.

'Damn I look hot,' I thought while staring into my own blue green eyes before exiting the bathroom, grabbing my phone and backpack, and heading out of the trailer with the boys.

After getting to the school I park my truck and the boy's and I head inside causing me to let out a little sigh.

"Do we have to be here" I questioned disgust lacing my features as we walked through the hall's.

"Yes" Lucas said causing Miles to let out another groan.

"Is this seriously all because you just have to see what's going to happen" I questioned my friend through gritted teeth clearly annoyed with the situation at hand.

"Yes, it is" he stated firmly causing me to roll my eyes and Miles to let out a little giggle.

"Oh my friend" Miles said slinging his arm around Lucas' shoulder a smirk on his face "I think were about to find out" he continued pointing at a large group of girls at the other end of the hall all giggling and pushing one another.

"Eww, can't we find out later and avoid that shit" I said starting to turn around only to be grabbed back and pulled into a hug causing my whole body going stiff.

"Hey, babe, I missed you" a voice said causing me to relax and let out a sigh before rapping my arms around the persons waist "do you know what the squeals are about yet" the person asked clearly curious.

Pulling back a little I see Hannah's dark brown eye's pealing through her blonde hair lightly that was cascading around her face.

A soft smile was gracing her light pink lips as she looked at me causing me to smile back at her.

"Not yet" I started before pointing at Lucas "but this dick just couldn't live without coming today for some surprise so I'm guessing that is the surprise" I stated a cocky smile on my face, while I watched Hannah laugh at the annoyance in my voice.

"Oh so shocking" she said acting surprised at the situation before smiling back at me.

Letting go of one another Hannah quickly get's dragged away by the twins "sorry, we need to talk to her" the taller one stated.

"It's okay, see you guy's later" I said smiling at the group of three before catching Sarah's eye amongst the crowd of girls causing my look of disgust to increase before rolling my eyes and walking away.

"Where are you going" Lucas' voice called out in a confused tone as Miles' laugh could be heard through the walls of the school hallway.

"Any where else" I said walking towards my locker.

Looking around I see the hallway was empty causing me to let out a sigh.

Going through my locker I set up my books taking out the ones I need for my first class period before I accidently dropping my pencil while closing my locker door.

"Shit" I mumbled bending down to pick up the pencil when someone else got it before me.
