Cody

"I remembered something." Snow says softly. "But I have a headache."

"You remembered something. What did you remember?" Sam inquires.

I half smile and then frown, remembering that she'll be seeing a doctor to run some tests on her and therapist to help her recover her memories. Snow will be owing me a lot.

I speed up, wanting to reach home early.

"I remembered posting my last F******k post." Snow narrates and I pay attention to both her and the road . "I was sitting behind my computer, typing something. I remember that that was after I posted that message on F******k. But I couldn't make out what I was working on behind my computer."

"Well, it's better than nothing I guess." Sam lets out a small smile, trying to cheer Snow up. "It's baby steps. You don't have to stress too much about remembering yout past life. It will all come to you." She says.

"Thanks Sam."

We finally arrive at my house and I drive through the automatic gates to the garage. Sam, Snow and I quickly walk into the house after I turned off the engine of my car.

It's almost dinner time but Sam has to get home to her daughter so I ask my driver to drop her off at her place while I prepare dinner for Snow and I.

Snow has been awfully quiet since she remembered something about her past. I read a worried expression on her face but I didn't want to care even though something was pushing me to.

"Go to your room and relax. Don't stress too much." I tell her and she nods then walks away to her room.

Today has been a long day.

*****

The only sounds made in the dining room were the clinking sounds of our plates and cutlery. Snow and i sit in silence eating our food. We don't talk to each other and we don't make eye contact.

The silence between would've have been normal to me but now it is just deafening and uncomfortable.

I get up and put away my plate. I start washing the utensils but Snow stops me.

"Let me take care of this." I nod and begin to walk out.

"Cody." I stop in my tracks and turn to her. "Thanks for letting me stay with you, for helping me find out my identity and for everything else." She says with a smile which I couldn't mirror. I don't say anything and with a blank expression, I nod at her.

"Tomorrow, Sam will go with you to see a doctor. My driver will take you tomorrow." I say and exit the kitchen.

I walk straight to my study and complete the work I couldn't get done today. I'm completely exhausted but I keep working. I have to get everything done or else they'll be more waiting for me at my desk in the office tomorrow.

I feel myself falling asleep after a few hours. A knock on my door wakes me up.

"Come in." I respond.

Snow walks in with a cup of what I assume to be coffee. How did she..? I raise my brow at her as she walks towards my desk.

"I couldn't sleep and decided to walk around. I noticed that the lights were on and I guessed you were probably working. So I made coffee. For you."

She places the mug on my desk and looks at me nervously. I stare at the mug and look her again.

"How did you....?"

"It just came to me. I just starting put stuff together before I even realised that I was making coffee." She smiles. She's excited, probably because she was able to make coffee...that......that smells really good.

I take the mug and sip it, hoping it tastes as good as it smells. Snow gazes at me while I taste the beverage.

"It's good." I say, nodding. Snow smiles. "It's not bad. Thank you."

"Okay. Then I'll leave you to keep working. Good night Mr Wells."

"Good night Snow." I say and Snow leaves the room.

Honestly, Snow's coffee is very delicious. It's better than any coffee I've ever tasted, even Sam's. And that's saying something because Sam is one of the best cooks I know.

I smile and get back to my work.

*****

I panicked and jumped out of my bed. I stop to look around and realize that my house isn't on fire. But I still smell smoke. Suddenly, I hear someone screaming from downstairs.

I rush downstairs and into my corridor, which is now full of smoke. As I walk in the direction of the source of the smoke and screams, I cover my nose with my hand and enter the kitchen to find Snow behind the gas cooker. Whatever she was making probably burnt up. Luckily, the fire's out. But now there's smoke everywhere. It's a good thing the sprinklers didn't go off.

At the present time, Snow is holding a fire extinguisher in her hand so I guessed she put the fire out with it.

"What the hell Snow?" I question her and cough, the smoke choking me.

I quickly open every window in my house, allowing the smoke to diffuse outside.

"What the hell were you trying to do?" I ask her again.

"When I woke up this morning, I made coffee for myself and an idea came to me as I enjoyed it. I thought since I make great coffee then I probably also know how to cook."

"So you put yourself to the test?” I raise my brows and scoff when she nodded.

"Yes. And I was wrong. I'm terrible at cooking." She tells me and pouts. I sigh and she quickly speaks again. "I'll clean up and leave the kitchen to you. Give me a few minutes." Then she starts cleaning up.

Walking back up to my room to get dressed for work, I hear a knock on my door. I answer the door and greet Sam. I immediately frown when I see her. I wasn't expecting anybody until I remembered she's here for Snow.

"Good morning Sir. What's with the frown?" She teases me and I let her in.

"You're the only friend I have and yet whenever I see you, I'm reminded that you're not my favourite person." Sam drops her jaw dramatically and I walk away with a smirk. We usually do this. We insult or make fun of each other, but not in a harsh way.

After an hour, I'm done dressing up. I walk downstairs and sit at the dining table with my breakfast before me. I begin to devour it. Sam prepared this obviously since she still has an apron on with stains on the apron.

"Sam. As I told you yesterday, I want to remind you that you're taking Snow to a hospital today. Call me after you see the doctor. And call me if you need something. The call must only be made when it's very urgent ." I scowl at Sam and she snickers, knowing exactly what I mean by that.

Snow Sam and I sit in the consulting room for about an hour before the doctor comes in with the test results. “From our results, the ZIP drug is in every system in your body. It’s not harmful at all so don’t be worried.” The doctor says as he sits down behind his desk. “It’ll slowly leave your body as you recover your memories ." "When will that be?" Sam asks "Well you said that you remembered something yesterday right?" I nod and he continues, "It depends. I can't really say when it'll be completely out of your system. But in the meantime you can see a therapist to help you recover your memories. You also have to be very active too to speed up the process." "Okay." I say with a small smile, not really knowing how to respond to this. "Here's Doctor Stella Gates' card. Call her for an appointment and let her know that I recommended her to you. She's a really busy woman but she'll make time for you when she knows that I recommended her." The doctor hands me a business card and I ta

Cody "Have a minute to spare?" Lee asks, peeking his head through my office door. "Come in." I answer and he enters. "Where's Sam?" "She's running an errand for me." "With a lady? Who's she?" Lee asks with interest, sitting on one of the chairs in front of my desks. I groan inwardly. "How do you know about her?" "So you do have a new girl! Finally." He grinned. "Kylie asked me about her the other day." "How does Kylie know about her?" He shrugs. "Beats me. I didn't ask because I didn't believe her. What's her name?" "Is that what you came here to talk about?" I frown. "No and yes." He nods. "No?" "Mother called me this morning, saying she wanted to meet us three." He suddenly grew serious. "Why does she want to meet the three of us?" My frown grows deeper. "I have no idea but I also don't want to go." I nod slowly, growing more and more angry at the sound of meeting Mother and my sister. "But she said it's urgent." I relax in my seat and rub my temples to calm myself do

Cody After calling Sam and telling her about the explosion at Snow's apartment, I quickly rush out of the men's room. "Lee, we're leaving." I call him. I don't give them time to comprehend what I just said. Lee gives me a questioning look and both Mother and Kylie look confused. I ignore them and walk out of the restaurant without uttering a word. "Cody!" Lee shouts from behind me, but I keep walking towards my car. "Can you slow down? You just left Mother and Kylie in there without saying anything." "Lee. This is more important." I state. "What is?" "That's irrelevant. So shut up and let's go. Unless you still want to have an awkward lunch with them." Lee heaves a defeated sigh and sits in the car. We pull out of the parking lot and drive to the apartment building. ***** The completely demolished apartment building has now turned into a crime scene. There are a lot of policemen securing the area, and people swarming the area, trying to find out what's going on. Parker walks up

Snow Hugging Mr Wells just felt right. When he pulled me in, I was a bit startled because he doesn't look like the touchy-feely type but I hugged him back and felt myself slowly calming down. I felt comfortable and safe in his arms. I wasn't sure why and I'm still not sure. It was soothing to be in his arms, I guess. I tried to ignore the emotions I felt the entire day. Sadness, anger, worry and frustration. Immediately I was left alone in the kitchen, I broke down in tears. I couldn't keep it in anymore. But when Mr Wells embraced me, it all went away. And I was glad it did. Mr Wells took me to my room and left me without saying a word. At least I was able to sleep without finding it difficult to do so like the nights before. I actually slept peacefully. So when I woke up this morning, I decided to do something to show Mr Wells that I appreciated what he did yesterday. But luck just wasn't on my side. After I got out of bed, I felt wet and sticky and smelly. The bed was stained w

Snow I wasn't sure if I wanted to return the phone and buy a new one or not. So as we drove to Mr Wells' office, I thought carefully about it. "Sir, I don't think I know your name and it wouldn't be nice if I kept calling you driver or sir all the time." I speak politely. "What's your name sir?" He smiles at me through the rearview mirror. "My name is Joseph Sawyer." He answers. "Okay. Mr Sawyer." "No Miss, I prefer you call me Joseph." "Then I also prefer you call me Lily...or Snow. You can call me any of them." We both share a laugh and I continue to ask him. "Do you think that it will be rude if I return the phone Mr Wells bought me?" "Lily...or Snow," He begins and I chuckle. "I've known Mr Wells for a while now and I know that he doesn't really like it when people refuse his offer, especially when he gives them no choice but to accept it." I scrunch up my face, "I'm sorry Joseph but I'm confused." "What I'm saying is that, I think it will be best if you just keep the phon

Snow "Hello you." She says and walks slowly towards me, like a predator that has cornered its prey and is about to pounce and devour it. Shit scared is what I'm feeling at the moment. This lady looks taller than me as she stands before me, eying me up and down like an item that needs to thrown into the garbage. I feel the need to run and hide but my feet are glued to where they are and won't budge. She is very intimidating. As we stare at each other and I look into those grey eyes, I slowly gain back my confidence. "Hi." I respond firmly. "Okay, back off Kylie." Lee says and stands between us. Kylie moves backwards as Lee pushes me behind him and Sam quietly walks out of the room. "Introduce me Lee." She calmly demands. “I don’t think I know this one.”"She doesn't need to know who you are. Just leave before Cody finds you here and becomes even more pissed than he already is." "Why? Because of her?" As she speaks, her eyes never leave mine. "Kylie, leave." She completely igno

Cody I'm lost of words. I feel ambushed. I try to deny that Snow did not just do what she did but no matter how many times I do so, I feel frustrated. Never has anyone, especially a woman who isn’t Sam, talked to me like that. If there was an award for that, Snow would've won one. She leaves me in the office baffled and speechless. And I feel like there's an earthquake in my mind because I can't seem to gather my thoughts. Lee smirks from beside me when he sees my shocked face and walks away whistling. Sam also snickers and walks away. I stomp to my office in frustration. The fact that she did this to me in front of everyone was a bit humiliating. And I hate to admit it. I'm so annoyed and frustrated that I can't even concentrate on my work. I want to be angry but I can't and I have no idea why. What even pisses me off more is that fiesty women turn me on. And Snow is just that. She turned me on without even breaking a sweat. Without knowing what she was doing. She's innocent. I

Cody It was hard for me to fall asleep but eventually I did. When I wake up, I feel like I had been hit by a bulldozer. My head is aching so much that I'm afraid it's going to explode soon and my intestines feel twisted. I don't usually get drunk this much. I groan and get out of bed, dragging myself to the bathroom to clean up. That's when I notice a bottle of Tylenol pills and a glass of water on my nightstand. Too tired to think about who put it there, I shrug and take the pills. I feel my insides grumble and hurry to the bathroom to empty the contents of my stomach into the toilet, my throat burning as the bile rushes out of my mouth. An unpleasant feeling settles in the pit of my stomach. I sit on the toilet seat and try to gather my thoughts. Then I remember last night. I groan inwardly. Snow. Snow The days went by quickly as we prepared towards the wedding. Everyone was present a week before the day of the wedding. My aunt and uncle, Andre, Cody and Lee, Serena and some other friends of Cody and I. Daya and the planner triple checked everything to make sure that the decorations, food, my wedding dress, Cody’s wedding tuxedo, invitations and everything else was on point. The guests had already started arriving. Cody and I were grateful to see those who could make it and we kept expecting more of our guests to arrive. Inwardly, I was very happy that Ruby was being helpful. Lee planned pre-wedding celebrations for Cody and I to have fun before the day of our wedding ceremony. Dave, Daya’s husband joined in on the fun. I had my bridal shower three days ago and it was lovely. I had lots of fun with my family and friends. Knowing Lee, it was wild as it was expected, but we didn’t mind. On the next day, there was rehearsal dinner. It also went on smoothly until Lee started firew

And did you just call my fiancé Mrs. Wells?” I look up at her, a smile creeping on my lips. Serena smiles and nods. “Mr. Wells asked me to call her that since you’ll be married in the next two months. In his words, ‘It wouldn’t hurt to start calling her Mrs. Wells. Those two were practically married before Cody decided to make it official.’” I chuckle. “Lee said that?” “He did, Sir.” She answers. “Alright. Just cancel my plans for lunch. I’ll be spending my lunch break talking to Snow.” “Or instead of cancelling, Lee and I can go and have lunch together. Just the two of us. That isn’t a bad idea, right?” “Of course not. Not at all.” I wink at her, making her blush. She excuses herself and exits my office. Before I hired Serena as my assistant, she was a waiter at Duquette’s café. My secretary wh
