Emily

"Huh?" I asked feeling confused.

"I'm Xavier." he said stretching his arm.

I gently took his big but warm hand feeling sparks and tingles."Emily."

"The name's Chase M'lady." The boy with brown eyes said. He dramatically bowed and took my hand in his, placing a kiss on it. I chuckled and face the boy with blue eyes who smiled shyly at me. 

"Ryan." he said. I nodded and gestured for them to follow me. I took them to the office where they collected their schedules and locker numbers. Ryan is a junior like me while Xavier and Chase are seniors.

I showed them around, the classes, gym, janitor closet, cafeteria, and other place in the school. When it was 7:55, I waved at them and went to my first period. Thankfully no one was in the class so I sat at the last seat in the back row. Eventually, students started filling up the class and I got dirty looks from the ones that spotted me. I gnored them all and focused on the biology teacher who was already teaching.

When the class was over, I packed my books and head out only to be stopped by Henry and his friends.

"Don't you forget. 10:15." He growled in my ear. 

"O-okay." I stutter nodding my head.

His friends smirked and shoved me hard when they passed. it's always like this everyday, when Henry is bored or angry he takes it out on me by telling his friends to hold me down while his girlfriends hit me. But when they want to spare me the givee their homeworks. Whenever Henry says 'cafeteria, 10:15' it means I should be in the cafeteria on time. He gives me 15minutes to eat and then be his personal maid to run errands in getting him food and drinks only to get food or drinks on my hair in appreciation.

I hate the teachers in this school, even thou they praise me I can't help but say they are so oblivious. Can't they see that some students are bring bullied. I can't report to the principal cause Henry threatened me not to.

 I got my new class and sat down, most students don't sit with me instead they give me dirty and disgusting looks. Just when when the teacher started teaching the door slammed open making the teacher jump in fright.

"Oh, sorry." The person apologize. Wait that voice is familiar. I looked up to see Ryan standing in the doorway.

"No problem, you're new right?" The teacher asked and Ryan nodded. "Please introduce yourself."

"Hi everyone, I'm Ryan Hunter. it's nice to meet y'all." He said politely.

"Very good Ryan, please take a seat next to Emily. Emily can you please raise your hand?" I awkwardly raise my hand.

When Ryan saw that I was the one his face seemed to relax. He walked over to me and plopped down beside me. I glanced around the class to see most of the girls already giving me death glares.

Geez! I'm not interested in him!

"Hi." Ryan greeted with a smile.

"Hey." I replied drily, not want wanting to start a conversation. It's looks like he got the message cause he immediately turned around, facing the board. I didn't mean to be rude but I can't get too attached cause he's just going to be like the rest of them, my bullies. Most new students that came to school were my friends but they turned backs one. They soon joined my bullies in  tormenting me. That's why I try to avoid new students at all cost.

"I'll be giving you guys a project to work on and you'll be paired up with someone." The teacher said out of the blues. I quickly sit up with a wide eyes. No, no, no! I hate being paired with someone. I rather work on the project alone because the last time I was paired with one of Henry's friends and he made me his personal slave and made only me do the project.

I fidgeted in my seat as the teacher kept on calling names. "And lastly Ryan and Emily." She said closing her book.

Thank God it's Ryan she chose.

Ryan turned to face me. "Guess we're partners, your place or mine?" 

I don't think Joshua will be happy to see a boy I'm the house. I can imagine his words.

'Since when did you become a slut?'

"Your place."I replied quickly shuddering at the thought.

"Okay" he smiled. I smiled back turning  to face the teacher who was already explaining what we would do in the project.

After the next class ended, I walked out, heading to the cafeteria. I quickly got my food and walked over to the empty table I usually sit on.

Henry and his friends walked on like they owned the place while everyone stared at them in awe. Henry smirked once he spotted me and mouthed 'fifteen minutes'. I looked down and continue eating my food.

I notice the cafeteria suddenly go quiet making me frown. Then I look up to see Xavier, Chase and Ryan walk in to the counter.

"Oh my gosh who are they?"

"They're the new students!"

"The guy in glasses looks so hot!"

I could hear the whispers from here. Xavier scanned the place with his eyes making me silently pray that he won't notice me. But guess the Lord didn't want to answer me. Xavier made eye contact with me and whispers something to the other boys.

I watched in horror as they make their way to my table and sat down.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Eating duh" Chase said bluntly stating the obvious.

"I mean you can't be seen with me."

"And why is that?" Ryan ask confused.

"Cause it will r-" I was cut short by a yell.

"Emily! Fifteen minutes is up?" Henry yells and all the heads in the cafeteria turned to me.

I slowly got up and walk over to where he we and his friends sat, ignoring the confused looks on Xavier, Chase and Ryan faces.

"Throw this in the trash." Henry roughly shoved a dirty dish at me. Which I did before going back to him.

"Eric wants to eat some Oreo cookie so move it!" He ordered me like as if I was a dog. Tears brimmed my eyes when I could feel eyes on me.

'Why does my life have to be like this?'

I was about to walk when a firm yet gentle grip on my shoulder stopped me.

I looked up to see Xavier hovering over me and giving Henry a cold glare. Chase and Ryan were also behind him.

"She's not going anywhere." He stated, the tone of his voice was enough to send shivers down my spine. Henry got up and faced  him with a scrowl on his face.

"What's it to you?"

"If you want something go get it yourself, she's not your slave." Xavier tone was calm but yet deadly.

I could see a flash of fear flicker in Henry's eyes but he quickly mask it up.

"Emily come here. Now!" Henry ordered. I try to move but Xavier tightened his grip on my shoulder.

"Stay." He whispered harshly in my ear and turned to Henry.

"Like I said she's not your slave, if you want to order someone, order one of your dump followers."

"Who the hell do you think you are to talk to me like that?" Henry snarled.

"Xavier Hunter." He replied simply. "I can talk to you however I want, you're not some god that I will bow down and respect. Oh and not all people that wears glasses are nerds."

"Xav can we leave?" Ryan asked nervously.

I heard Xavier take a deep breath before nodding.

I thought they would leave me and go but pushed me so I was standing between him and Chase.

Without a word we left with Chase dragging me with him.

I couldn't help but gape at them. No one has ever stood up to Henry. I can't believe Xavier defended me. I could feel Henry deadly burning stare at my back. 

When we got out of the cafeteria, I yanked my hand from Chase's grip and faced Xavier.

"What the fudge?!"
