Chapter-3

Why was she getting paranoid as if she is being watched? She thought studying the crowd once again.

Then she recalled the drink she sipped and concluded that it’s all because of it when actually all she did was only take a sip or two.

Exhaling a deep breath she aimlessly stared ahead when she heard someone calling her.

“Madam, boss sends this for you.”

There stood a server, his hands holds a tray with a tumbler half filled with red wine.

“Excuse me.” Gina frowned and the server tipped his head and signaled towards the second floor. Confused, Gina followed his line of gaze and stops when she spots a tall frame of a man who was leaning against the railing.

Although it was dark but not dark enough that she cannot see him.

His both hands rested on the railing, in one hand he was holding a glass that contains amber liquid and in the other a slender cigarette was sitting between his fingers.

So he was the one who was staring at her for so long.

Her mind wasn’t playing games as she thought, she was actually been watched.

She studies his features. His black hair was combed back perfectly revealing his forehead. He has thick brows, high cheekbones, proud aristocratic nose and chiseled jaw line with trimmed subtle.

He is handsome!

Donned in white shirt, regular black pant and black suit he looks like someone who belongs to the corporate sector.

Again the way his steel grey eyes were piercing directly at her with confidence and such intensity that a shiver ran down her spine. Something felt oddly not right. He wasn’t blinking as he captured her gaze with his unwavering ones, it spokes volumes of words.

“Madam, your drink.” The server broke the eye contact that man was holding for so long and Gina blinked nervously. With all her will she turned her gaze and shifted to the server then at the tray and flew her gaze back where the man was standing. To her surprise this time the man smirk and in a slow motion rose the hand he was holding the glass and makes a toast her way.

Gina swallows thickly when realization hit her. He was hitting on her!

God have mercy!

Then something strikes her mind.

“Madam…”The server calls her again. She mentally smacks herself for each time getting lost in his smoldering eyes.

Get a grip girl!

What if her staring at him passes him wrong assumption which she cannot reverse in the future if he chose to take them seriously?

She need to stop this before thing go wrong.

So he bought her drink.

Gina chewed her lower lip pondering for some seconds unaware that this small gesture of her was setting someone’s body on fire. His dangerous eyes were gawking at her with wantonness. Some seconds later she shook her head and uttered politely, “no, thank you.”

What if he spiked her drink and took her to some unknown place and kills her after taking out her liver and kidneys. She has read many such crime reports.

The server bowed his head and left without bothering her. Again meekly she glances up to check if he saw her denying to his offer and he did and was still smirking at her which heats her face in awkwardness.

Jesus!

Instantly she cast her lashes down on her lap feeling extremely nervous and uncomfortable with his constant gaze.

Not knowing what to do, how to avoid his intense gaze, she decides to visit the washroom as she felt the urge to empty her bladder. It’s one of her old tendencies whenever she is tensed or bothered about something she wants to pee.

And currently his direct piercing gaze was bothering her.

Dropping on her heels she strides passing the swaying men and  woman on the way taking direction from a waitress towards the washroom. When she enters some girls giggles and passes by. Finding one of the stall unattended she slides in and shuts the door. She sighs in relief emptying the pressure she felt. Momentarily her eyes closes only to shot open when her mind replayed the image of the man.

God gracious!

Why was she thinking about him? Scolding herself, she comes out and washes her hand before returning back through the same route.

Stepping inside the dance floor she walks towards the spot where she was previously sitting only to slow down her speed. Her eyes grew enlarge like a deer caught in the headlights when she spotted the same steel grey eyed man sitting beside her stool.  Her feet halt.

His back was facing the counter as if waiting for her. When he spots her, his lips curves upward.

Gina looks at him, worry etching on her face.

Why was he here? She thought.

For a fleeting second his eyes travels down her feet and seeing them frozen, his head tilts to other side as he slowly lift his eyes and locks with hers. A sinful smirk crept on his face.

Standing up on his feet he stalked towards her. His steps firm and confident as if he owns the world. The way his body radiates power and dominance as if he expects everyone to bow down before him.

Gina notices his shoulders were broad and his body seemed to be well built. As he was walking, he appeared tall probably six feet or more than that. Which is why it didn’t took his long legs to cover the distance and stood right infront of her. His tall figure overpowering her and she had to tilt her head upward to match his gaze.

His eyes, they were sharp, unique and beautiful. Just like him. No, the word beautiful won’t do justice on him, he is deadly handsome.

Government should ban such men from Italy.

They are not good for women’s heart!

Inserting both hands in his pant pocket, he spoke in his playful tone, “beautiful women should not refuse drinks offered to them.”

His rich manly voice caused tingles to erupt in her skin and she realized she was staring at him for so long. As if his teasing words have broken the haze she blinked and composed herself and processed his words.

“That’s because I’m not beautiful.” She tried to sound confident in her elements when in fact she was shaken to her core.

It’s not like every night she comes across handsome strangers who buys her drink and when on denial playfully confronts her.

The man chuckles and the rich sound coming from him were not only apprehensive yet appealing.

“Beautiful will be understatement.” Saying he bends a little and whispers in her ear.

“You are sexy!” He compliments in his deep tone, his hot breath fanned her ear lobe and Gina gasped, her crystal blue eyes grew wide.

He smirks before straighten himself and stared at her face for a reaction.

Her heart began to beat in rapid pace.

Her cheeks turned crimson red because no one has ever said that. Surely she had heard compliment like beautiful, gorgeous etc from her dad and people who knows her but not sexy.  She is cubby to look like a sexy girl.

She didn’t know how to react to his comment.

So she did what she thinks could save her from this situation.

“I must leave.” Saying she turns her heels to take steps away from this awkward situation and his intimidating presence, not waiting for his reply.

Hardly had she taken a step or two, when she felt a tug on her wrist. Instantly, she turns back only to find him grabbing her wrist with his thick fingers. Her heart galloped in her chest.  It was for the very first time a man was touching her. This act of his wasn’t giving her any gentleman vibe. Rather she is scared.

Panic began to creep up in her. “W…What are you doing?”

The man passed her a sinister smile that didn’t reach his steel eyes. Neither it looks comforting; in contrast it looks like it holds some bad intentions for her. “Forget drinks. I wanna buy you for one night. So, tell your price.”
