Chapter 6

Magnus’ POV

I push the trolley we're carrying, unable to resist asking why this woman has so much luggage. She only has six bags, without any personal luxurious hand-carry bags. I can't tell if she's going home or not.

"So slow..." she mutters to me. I chuckle; it's funny how I'm the one struggling with pushing the trolley yet she's the one complaining. Damn it!

If I wasn't affectionate, I would've probably kissed it with a whip by now.

"Magnus, I'm waiting," Vanna adds. She's wearing a cream-colored aristocratic outfit with black flat sandals. Her outfit is belted, and she's wearing black shades. She may be overdressed, but it suits her.

"I'm coming," I smile and push the bags. She requested to have no bodyguards, and even though it's risky, I agreed. I suppose this country is secure enough.

Vanna frowns like a lost child in the aisle, holding a map.

"What's with that thing?"

"We need it, so we don't get lost."

I laugh a bit. She's really amusing.

"I've been here a lot, so don't worry." She smirks and raises an eyebrow at me.

"Is that so? Maybe you know where the freaking comfort room is; I've needed to go for a while now," she snaps. I'm surprised; she's been holding it in for a while, no wonder she walks so fast.

"Hey, are you deaf?" she nudges me.

"Calm down, you might pee yourself," I grin. I quickly follow her, thankfully following a family with a child carrying baby supplies in a cellophane bag.

There's a diaper, a bottle of milk, and powder. I stay silent as if I know where to go. Luckily, my intuition was right.

Vanna rushes inside immediately; she seems to have lost her fancy demeanor as she practically stumbles in.

I just sigh and follow her.

It didn't take long for this to end. Its face still looks annoyed and clearly does not want to talk to me.

"Are you hungry?" I asked her while carrying the bags. She just crossed her arms.

 "I'm full."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Hmm, then maybe we need to go now, we need to find a taxi."

"Don't you have a ride?" she continued to test my patience.

"Nope. Remember you agreed to have no guards, no drivers, no extravagant entrance here, so whether you like it or not, we will commute. It shouldn't be hard to find a taxi here." I kept my patience. I could hear her sigh.

"We must stay in a hotel before we go to our destination towards Aklan," I added.

Our first goal is Boracay. But because it's already late and the next flight is tomorrow afternoon, we'll first look for a nearby hotel at the airport.

Luckily, there are plenty of hotels scattered around.

"Come on, Magnus. I'm getting hungry." I was surprised by what I heard; we were already in the hallway but now she was requesting to eat.

"I thought..."

"That was earlier, I'm hungry now," Vanna interrupted again. I promised to stay calm. I was amazed at her attitude. It seems like she's intentionally trying to make things difficult for me.

"Alright, let's just eat at the hotel, it's safer, more formal, with many options," I said gently. Her face scowled more and she just walked past me.

"Fine." She walked ahead and exited the building. She signaled as if she was about to rent an exclusive car from the agency.

"Hey, Vanna. Let me handle this, wait a minute, come here," I called out to her. Looking at her attire, behavior, and appearance, she might be mistaken for a call-girl because of how she presents herself.

"What do you mean..."

"Let me do it, you might get into trouble with what you're doing!" I intervened. She couldn't do anything but scowl. I'm only protecting her, she's a brat. A hard-headed one!

Fortunately, someone arrived quickly to assist us with our belongings and was also kind to us vacationers.

"You can stay at RWorld Hotel, sir, ma'am. It's close by, so you won't be late for your trip. It's convenient." The elderly driver told us.

"Thank you so much," I replied.

We couldn't escape his question.

"Are you newlyweds?"

"Not yet, we're getting married soon," I said, causing Vanna to yawn loudly, making me shake my head.

She's causing a scene again.

"We're here now, ma'am, sir. Enjoy your stay. Thank you very much!" The driver is very accommodating. Because of his attitude, I gave him a bigger tip, feeling that he needed more income that day. I was happy to help him in my own way.

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff immediately took care of us.

As Vanna and I entered, I held her waist to control her. She had been pouting earlier.

"Behave yourself, Vanna. I might not be able to control myself." I warned her in a soft whisper.

"Don't you dare." She smiled and rolled her eyes at me.

Once we were in the reception area, I spoke with the staff, choosing a regular suite for couples. We were only staying there for a day.

When we received the key, we quickly entered the elevator. Our room was on the sixth floor. Since we were the only ones there, I held her waist, feeling her warmth against me. Vanna didn't react. She stood there, facing the door, waiting for it to open wide.

I managed to sneak my left hand onto her left hip, but she immediately elbowed me.

"Don't try anything, Magnus. I might just kick you!"

"I'm waiting, my dear." I grinned.

"You're such a pervert." She rolled her eyes.

"Don't you find me irresistible?" I asked with a daring tone.

"Not even in my dreams," she rolled her eyes again and chuckled softly. Her comment slightly bruised my ego, making me think of ways to woo her even more.

The door hasn't opened yet, so I thought of sealing her with a quick kiss. She leaned in to one side while I held both her hands to prevent any resistance. I kiss her softly, with tenderness and passion, my tongue almost tracing her lips. I felt her response. Her knees trembled, feeling her instability. She even moaned. As soon as I heard the door open, I quickly moved away. I left first and it seemed as if nothing happened inside. I saw her left hanging.

I know she liked it. I knew she enjoyed my kiss; she just didn't admit it. I kept my distance from her, not wanting her to turn red. I only saw her follow quietly, holding her own lips.

When we reached our room, I immediately opened it, went in first, and waited for her. Vanna was left speechless, shy, and a bit nervous, and I noticed she seemed hesitant to look me in the eye. "I'll just order some food," I broke the silence.

"I'm full." I stopped upon hearing that. Earlier, she said she was hungry, but now she suddenly claimed she's full.

"Don't tell me, that my kiss can make you full?" I teased. She angrily looked at me and gave me a gentle kick on the leg.

"You're such a pervert, Magnus. I'll tell my brother about you!" I see Vanna acting like a sulking child now. Instead of getting annoyed, I couldn't help but laugh at her.

"Come on, we're just alone here, and let me remind you, dear. I am your fiancée, I can do what I want, I have your ticket, remember?" I grinned.

"Argh! You're so annoying!" she punched my arm, but I quickly caught her, making her lose balance, fortunately, I swiftly wrapped my arms around her waist. I looked into her small face now. She was the same.

"Don't you dare...do it again..." I listened to her tone, it seemed like this was more of a warning. So, I did it again. I kissed her. I kissed her deeper, more sensual, and wilder. Thank goodness the doorbell rang, otherwise I might have been overwhelmed by desire and truly ravished this tempting woman. Vanna quickly composed herself, looking less disheveled and sinking onto a nearby couch.

"Food delivery," we heard just in time, both of us feeling hungry. It's truly appetizing being with someone like Vanna. When the door opened, the staff wheeled in the food trolley, covered in silver. Vanna placed it on the circular table in the center of the room, resembling a dining table in a high-class restaurant.

An elegant white tablecloth, typical red roses in the center, and champagne in an ice bucket display. "The food is ready, sir, ma'am," the staff said before promptly leaving. I quickly tipped them.

After closing the door, I pulled Vanna to a seat.

"Come on, sit," I commanded. She hadn't moved and remained on the edge of the couch.

"Vanna," I called again.

"I'm... I'm..."

"Are you going to eat, or should I feed you?" My voice was serious. I noticed her swallowing nervously. She quickly stood and sat on the chair I pulled out for her. Once she settled, I sat in front of her.

"Let's eat," I said formally. She quietly grabbed her utensils and started eating. The food was well-prepared, with beef steak and a side of green vegetables and carrots. There were fruits on the side and a sweet dish resembling purple yam jam.

"You're actually easy to talk to," I softly commented to Vanna. I saw her trembling, seemingly scared. I quickly held her hand.

"Don't be scared, get used to me, Vanna. I may come off strong, but I'd never harm a woman, especially not you," I said sincerely. She simply nodded and continued eating.

"I understand, Magnus. I'm shaking because the air conditioning is too cold. Can you lower it? I might catch a cold!" she changed the subject. I simply smiled at the corner of her mouth. Whenever this one really is a troublemaker.

I thought I had her presence under control. I quickly went to the aircon and turned it down. Upon returning to the table, she was smiling while holding a glass of champagne.

"Cheers, Magnus. Let's have a drink," Vanna smiled. She handed me the glass, which I drank and smiled back. I continued eating, but I felt uneasy, like I was getting dizzy. Damn it! I could only see my vision getting blurry, the only thing I could see was Vanna finishing the glass she was holding.

"I'm sorry, Magnus," I heard before falling asleep completely. If I'm not mistaken, Vanna must have given me a sleeping pill. I don't know her plan. But in this case, she just used me to get back to the Philippines, wanting to escape without me.

When I woke up, I didn't know what happened or how long I slept. I was still slumped on the dining table. I saw a piece of paper. It was a letter from Vanna. I sighed as I held it and immediately read it.

Dear Magnus, I'm sorry, I tried to handle this on my own. But I'm afraid you might get involved in my plan. I want to escape. I know you want to help me, but I also need to find my real brother here in the Philippines. Please don't try to find me. Let me be for now. I will call you, but please don't contact my parents.

Love, Vanna.

I just sighed as I held onto that paper. If she's looking for her real brother, she needs me. She doesn't know what I can do, I can help her.

"She really is a troublemaker!" I muttered while grabbing my mobile phone. I immediately called my associate, who was a great tracker.

"Hello, bro. Please help me. I need you to find my fiancée..."
