Chapter 8

As I shuffled into my room, I quickly made my way into my bathroom, ignoring the mess that covered my room. My important clothing was hidden away in my messy closet, while my more casual clothing and dresses were strewn about. To most, it was the work of a slob.

To me, it was organized chaos.

Everything had its place.

Twisting the knobs until a rush of steaming water poured from the faucet, I sauntered back over towards my vanity. I plopped myself before my mirror and opened a jar of cleansing balm.

It took years for me to find something that would work perfectly for my skin. A unique blend of rice milk, charcoal dust, fairy dust, and mermaid slime.

It sounded horrible.

I was put off by it when I first read the ingredients on the label. Coming back day after day, managing to find myself standing before the hidden jars, re-reading the same list of ingredients until I finally worked up the courage to buy one.

I've been addicted to it ever since.

After making sure my entire face was lathered in the balm, I carefully began to wrap my hair. Being mindful of the sticky, glossy sheen that covered my face, I grumbled angrily to myself.

You would think after doing this every night, I would remember to wrap my hair before I start my skin routine.

It took a while, but I finally managed to have my hair perfectly wrapped. Some balm has managed to stain my scarf, an usual occurrence during these types of nights.

I sauntered back into my bathroom, taking a peak at the water that was steadily rising in my tub. Satisfied with the level the water has reached, I leaned over to turn off the water and to grab a colorful vial from my bowl.

The bowl was filled with different colored vials. Shades ranging from the deepest red to the palest of whites, corresponding well with the scents and extra goodies that were stuffed in the tiny containers.

I shuffled between a few choices, finally settling on a vial filled with a sparkly green liquid. Specks of oddly colored silver floated in the hues of green and a faint smell of apple oozed from the vial.

I eagerly poured the entire contents into the tub, watching as the clear water bloomed to a dark, sparkly green. The suds that morphed were a pale-ish tone of mint and moss, forming on the top of the water in a thick, frothy barrier. As the smell of apples intermingled in the humidity, crisp and refreshing for my tired senses, an undertone of warmth mixed in well.

I couldn’t place the other scent.

So familiar, and yet, all the more confusing to my muddled brain.

I stripped myself of my clothing and slowly sunk into the water, eager to finally bathe the day away. The scorching heat of the water lapped at my sore muscle, swaddling me in a bliss of warmth and sweet smells. It was as if I was encased in the coziest hug. Drowning in a sea of fruity bubbles and warm vanilla, appreciating the comfort it was bringing me.

As I let my body soak, I peered through the thick fog that encased my bathroom, gaze settling on a book that laid nearby. The cover was a dark film of gray smoke, streaks of midnight blue and black dancing through the haze of gray. A pair of golden colored eyes peered through the smoke, gleaming dangerously at those that gazed at the cover.

It was a book filled with enough filth that it’ll make the raunchiest whore flush. A tantalizing tale of a beast for a man, living deep in the wilderness with his lover. As he love to cherish his wife, gifting her with the rare treasures he finds on his daily hunt, he’s addicted to fucking her. Page after page of the raunchiest smut, detailed enough that it felt as if I was on the receiving end of his heavy thrust.

God, I was horny

My gaze continued to roam the cover as I thought about grabbing it.

I did usually read during a soak.

And the water had quickly turned cold before I could finish the chapter I was reading yesterday.

But-

“Reading sounds painful.” I grumbled to myself.

After re-reading the same instructions for hours today, I would rather not continue to read. Whether it was for my enjoyment or personal gain, I felt as if I couldn’t read another word. I was too mentally exhausted to even try.

With a pout now glued onto my lips, I slowly sunk deep into my tub.

Although I desperately wanted to finish the chapter, the thought of taking another peak made my stomach flutter and my toes curl.

I sighed.

I knew I wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy it.

But I was still so horny.

Maybe I could-

‘Meow!’

“Perfect timing Xeno.” I grumbled unhappily. Grabbing a sponge, I raised my voice for him to hear. “I’m almost done!”

‘Meoooow!’

Looks like masturbation was not an option at the moment. Hopefully I can deal with my horniness after I’ve fed Xeno. He usually likes to rest alone after having his fill of food. Lazily trotting towards the nearest nest he’s created for himself, plopping down onto the thick and soft pelts of furs and blankets before drifting off to sleep.

If I manage to keep myself awake, that should give me a few hours to play.

With a new found rigor, I quickly began to lather my sponge in soap and scrub

Clumps of skinny seedlings that struggled to rise in the sweltering sun. They were an odd shade of green and blue, scrawny stems that were covered in unblossomed leaves and tiny colored bulbs. I couldn’t wait for them to fully bloom. This is my first time growing plants by myself. After papa helped me settle on what I should grow, he left me to my own device to learn how to grow them. It took a while for me to actually plant them. My magical ability was nowhere near powerful enough to grow tulips, let alone Dewbells. It took a few months of training with papa to finally muster enough magical prowess. Dewbell seeds grow off of a specific type potion laced water, sunlight, and magic energy. My energy levels were pathetic. Not enough to summon a ball from my palms nor enough to seep into the soil to feed into the hungry seeds. It took
