Sienna
Sunday - It was the morning of my wedding and I have been up since 3 am pacing my bedroom floor. This was it. The time had finally arrived, and I was a nervous wreck. I could hear Mama as she paced the floor above me, seemingly as nervous as I was. We had landed in New York the day before because the wedding reception was taking place at Dragonetti Mansion, a vast estate that once belonged to Dante’s parents.
My family and I are currently staying at Dante’s guesthouse, because of the old tradition of the bridegroom not being allowed to see the bride before the wedding.
I got up from my bed and walked towards my wedding gown as it stood on the mannequin. It was a magnificent work of art made of silk and lace, embellished with a diamond bodice and an illusion Sabrina neckline adorned with scattered Swarovski crystal beading. It had an open screen back as well. Running my fingers over the bodice, my thoughts go straight to today and what it would lead to. They would expect a lot of me and this marriage. My position as a Dragonetti wife would depend on how effectively I would be prepared to please Dante.
A knock came at my door. “Sienna, are you awake?” It was my Mamma. I couldn’t help but smile. After the last time Dante and his family visited us, we have grown closer. She would regularly give me guidance and prepared me for the road ahead. As it turns out, she was well informed about Papa and his mistresses but preferred to turn an unconscious eye to it. I still recall what she told me one evening after a few too many glasses of wine.
“Mafia wives have to accept whatever their husbands throw at them, Sienna. We have to be the calm in their storms, the normality they come home and the mothers to their successors. We will eternally be birds in glass cages; always catching glimpses of the surface world, but never being able to join.”
I would forever allow her words to be burned into my head; my Mama was finally honest with me about her feelings and I adored every minute of it. She didn’t remember our conversation at all the following day, and I didn’t remind her of what she had told me; she would have been mortified. So I filed it away, always going back to it in times of need.
“I am, Mama, come in,” I say and she opens the door. My mother was already done up in her wedding attire and looked beautiful; she was a classic beauty, and they always said that I inherited my looks from her. Smiling, she walks towards me, stopping next to my wedding dress, and sighs. “You will make a beautiful bride, Stellina.” She says, referring to me by my precious nickname of ‘star.’
“Thank you, Mama,” I say, and she draws me in for an embrace, brushing my forehead with her lips. “Come, everyone has arrived to get you ready for the day. I will send them up so we can proceed.”
It was time to transform me into The Dragonetti Bride.
The next two-and-a-half hours go by in a blur, and by the end, I didn’t even recognise myself in the mirror. They kept my makeup natural and my hair was curled and twisted into an updo with diamante pins holding them together. In short; I looked glamorous and every part of the Mafia Bride.
“Cara Mia,” my father gushes when he walks into the room, beaming at me as he sees me. I turn to face him and see his eyes brimming with unshed tears. This causes me to frown because I have never seen my Papa show any emotion. Ever.
“Papa,” I say, and kiss his cheek as he embraces me. He looks at me with love in his eyes and rubs my shoulders before turning around and leaving the room again. That was odd. What was that look he gave me just now?
My mother walks towards me and her lips are a thin line. “Your Papa is just worried about you, Sienna. He regrets offering you to il Drago, but realized there was no other way to keep us all safe.” My mother says in a plaintive tone and I could do nothing but sigh. “It is already done, Mama,” I say and walk towards my veil resting on the bed. I pick it up with the attached tiara and hand it over to my mother. “Would you please help me?” I asked her and she gave me a sorrowful nod before placing the tiara on my head.
“Oh!” my mother exclaims, then leaves the room. What she comes back with puts a smile on my face; a beautiful Biedermeier bridal bouquet made up of red roses and pink Peruvian lilies. What amazed me the most was the fact that the centre flower was a sunflower - did Dante know they were my favourite?
“Dante dropped this off earlier.” My mother says with a smile as she stares at the bouquet. In Italian culture, it was customary for the groom to buy the bride’s bouquet. She hands it over to me, but as I take it from her, I notice the other flowers attached or rather, tucked away within the bouquet. My heart stops and I almost drop the bouquet I held.
Dante knew my favourite flower and knew floriculture was my hobby, that’s why he had these attached; he realized only I would figure out the significance behind them:
Yellow carnations signify disdain, white carnations signify death and Aconite, also known as wolfsbane and is incredibly poisonous - this flower signifies revenge.
Disdain, death and revenge. What was Dante trying to tell me?
“Isn’t it lovely, Sienna? He even knew sunflowers were your favourite!” My mother says and I try to push the fear down with a smile. “It’s beautiful,” I reply, and my mother dabs the corner of her eyes before straightening her back and pulling the veil over my face. I take the corner of my veil and tear a slight hole in it before offering my mother a taut smile. She draws me in for an embrace. “Try to make him love you, Sienna. If anything else, try to make him love you, or at least respect you.” She says, and I look at her with horror. Dante was not capable of love. A man who killed children had no room for love in his heart.
“Time to go,” I say, and she leads me out of the bedroom to what I only assume was my demise, no matter how many times I rip the veil.
My father was waiting for me at the foot of the stairs, his stoic expression back as he watched me descend; ah, that was the man I loved. “Ready, Sienna?” He asks me and I nod, “Yes, Papa.” I respond and we walk out of the Dragonetti guest house - to my doom.
Sienna My father has his hand on my knee as he stares out of the limousine window with his gun drawn. He was in New York, Dragonetti Famiglia territory and on high alert, the irony being that he was basically handing me over to the man he did not trust. We spent the car ride in silence all the way to the church; my father did not once glance my way, and it left me with an uneasy feeling in my heart. I was his only daughter, and yet he had nothing to say to me on my wedding day. The limousine pulls up outside of the church, and I could already tell the place was filled with what I could only assume were mafia families - Both Famiglia and Outfit acquaintances. My father gets out after his men and scours the area with his eyes before walking over to my side and opening the door. He holds out his hand for me to take, and he leads me by the arm to the inside of the enormous cathedral. It was finally sinking in; I was getting married to a r
Sienna The Dragonetti estate was a sight to behold! Dante’s parents had impeccable tastes and you could see it by the opulent architecture, art and perfectly manicured gardens. “You have a beautiful home, Dante,” I say as I take everything in. “Thank you, but it will be your home too from today forward.” He says and we arrive at the reception to greetings from our fellow friends and family members. As per custom, we greet everyone individually as they give us their good wishes and felicitations. “Brother, you have a beautiful bride,” came the voice of the man who accompanied Dante to my parent's home back in Chicago. This man was lean and well built, with the same intense green eyes and dark hair as Dante, and I recall him being Dante’s best man. He picks up my hand in his and kisses the back. “Bella,” he says and I blush at his compliment. “Thank you,” I say as a smile plays on my lips and he winks at me. “Are you flirting with my wife, Nico?” Dante asks him, but the man named
Sienna I was seated at our table when I saw Carmella rushing out of the mansion and heading straight to her father’s parked Mercedes. A few seconds later, the car speeds away. My mother had prepared me to be a mafia wife, she raised me not to talk back and to speak when spoken to, but what my mother didn’t prepare me for were the betrayal and heartbreak. Carmella had been seeing Dante behind my back all this time. That was probably how he knew we would be at that specific café where he waltzed in with the blonde. They had played me for a fool and I was none the wiser. My heart might as well be made of glass because the one person I trusted irrevocably shattered it. Trusted even more so than my own mother. And yet, no tears came. Is this what absolute heartbreak felt like; a numbness in your chest and difficulty breathing? Because that is what I feel like right now. First, my father hands me over to one of our world’s most brutal mob bosses, my mother ignoring my pleas for help, an
Dante *Trigger Warning - Sexual Violence*What was I doing? Why was I being so gentle with her? Her body belonged to me by right and I could destroy any chance of her ever enjoying sex again, but that look she gave me before I kissed her had done something to me. It was the look of a virgin knowing she had no other choice but to submit to her husband, and then she had to go and say what I had been thinking. For some reason, I wanted Sienna to enjoy what I was about to do to her and what she was doing to me. Her body was gorgeous and bent to my every touch and caress, it was said the Vincenzo Princessa was beautiful; but whoever said that had clearly never seen her naked. No words could express how gorgeous her naked body was - and it was all mine. Her pure body and soul were mine. I nudge her legs open and look down at the gift presented to me; and how exquisite it was. Her virginal scent clouded my mind, and I could tell she was aroused by the faint wetness at her entrance. I had t
Sienna He tricked me. He allowed me to let my guard down and tricked me. I watch Dante leave, and as soon as the door closes, I rush to the bathroom and clutch my abdomen in pain. Reaching the shower, I open it on full blast and get underneath the freezing water. What had happened to Dante just now? It was like he snapped and then didn’t care if he hurt me or not. Why did he tell me he would be gentle with me, only to completely ruin me in the end? It was as if his plans were for me to let my guard down just so he could tear me in two. And that’s exactly how it felt; I felt the tearing as he thrust into me gently at first, then without abandon. Did he truly want to hurt and ruin me that badly? I still do not know what I did to him to deserve his malice. If he wanted me to hate him, well, he succeeded with flying colours. I take care when I wash myself down below and finish up in the bathroom, then head to what I assume was our shared walk-in closet. The one I had back home was noth
Sienna I am in heaven right now. Whoever designed this garden was a Godsend! Every flower planted grew all year long, so the estate always looked beautiful and bright from the outside. I walk towards the winter garden section and sit down on the marble bench built there. This would be my new mecca; this garden would be where I would get lost in. The crocus flowers and snowdrops looked beautiful amongst the frost, and I found myself lost in thought as I stared at them. Reminiscing over my old life I would never get back, the old connections which I now knew were fake, and my parents, who I would never see again. Carmella’s misdeeds were still fresh in my mind, and I felt a tear slip down my cheek as I remembered the poison to her tone yesterday. I had loved and trusted her like a sister, and she gave me up for a person like Dante, who probably only used her. I am not sure how long I sat in the garden like that, but the next second I heard incessant shouting. “She can’t have gotten
Sienna Dante doesn’t come to bed that night or any other night that follows. Dario, Domenico and I seemed to be getting into a routine at breakfast time; I cook for them while they keep me company. I have truly grown to love the two brothers as my own; they make me laugh and are both fiercely protective over me. When Domenico got asked to accompany me to the supermarket for a quick run to get a few things, a man had touched my arm by accident and he flipped and broke the poor guy’s hand! I was adamant that I would pay for the surgery afterwards, but Domenico, or Nico as I call him now, refused and said Dante would freak out. Dinner time was a different routine: They usually got home just after 6 or 7, cleaned up and we would eat around the table. Dante was always silent but the other two always had stories to tell me. They made my staying here worth the while. I also got to know them better: Dario was a collector of rare knives and had about 50 different tactical ones on display in
Sienna That evening, I prep a few dishes that I would be cooking the following morning. I was still pretty riled up from this morning’s events and keeping out of the guys’ way. Not that I knew if they were home, anyway. I cleaned up the mess with the Christmas tree in the living room and noticed that, luckily, their gifts were still intact. Good, the gifts amounted equally to over $1.5million, so them being ruined during a stupid argument would have surely made me cry. It was 7 pm, and I had the dinner table set, but no one came into the kitchen to eat and by 8 pm, I covered all the dishes and went up to bed. It seems this morning has left a bitter taste in everyone’s mouths and being Alpha men; they refused to be seated at the same table due to pride. Deciding against my better judgement, I grab Dante’s plate from the warmer and put it onto a tray to take to him in his office. I knew I was setting myself up for disappointment, but my mother always said to treat those as you want to
Hi, there readers! I hope you enjoyed this wild ride I took you on ;] What lies in store for Sienna, who went from timid doe to mafia queen? Where does this leave Sylvana and Serena and their unborn children? What about Dario and Nico? Check my F.B profile to find out, I think you might just like what I am about to reveal! Please leave a comment or rating if you are able to! Thank you for sticking around until the end of an era, and watching as each of them developed into a character you know now. See you soon!
Dario Where the fuck did they take my brother’s body?! I’ve looked all over the place, and so have the other soldiers, but all that remained of him was his blood on the hardwood floors. After grabbing Daniella from their bedroom, I inch my way towards the panic room again. As soon as I open the door, I see Sienna rushing toward me and taking her child from my arms. “Amore…” she whispers, holding Daniella close as if she would disappear at any second. Sylvana, Nico, and Serena walk toward me as Sienna walks away. “Where is Dante’s body?” Serena asks me in a hushed tone, and I frown at her question. She thumbs behind her. “There’s a surveillance station behind there that Sienna found. I searched all the rooms but couldn’t find him. Did someone take his body?” She explains. I look at Sienna, then at the group in front of me. “I looked all over the mansion but couldn’t find his body at all. We need to check the surveillance tapes to see what happened.” I say, then walk towards the mon
Serena I watch as Dante picks Sienna up and can’t stop myself from giggling out loud. He seemed so carefree around her; I suppose that she was the only one able to break down his walls. I mean, you need a lot of guts to be able to get a hardened mafia boss to love you like this. I lay my head on Dario’s shoulder and sigh; I want what Sienna has with Dante, and I want it with Dario. “Don’t forget to come to my room tonight; we have something to discuss,” I say, not looking at his face for a reaction, but he kisses my hair, and I feel the smile on his lips. “I wouldn’t dream of being anywhere els-” “Dante?” My head whips up towards the sound of Sienna’s quiet voice and pale at the scene in front of me. Where… where did the blood on Dante’s head come from?! “D-Dario…” He motions to his younger brother, and before I can think, Dario throws me to the floor and pushes me underneath the oversized couch we were just seated on. From my vantage point, I could see Dante lying on the floor, b

Also, I will be revealing the sequel to Mafia's Vice on my F.B acc today. If you haven't added me yet, please feel free to do so at J Tarr Author. Dario Dante gives me a wink as I join them at the table. Nico was already fussing over the food; God, I had forgotten how this man could eat, especially now since he’s regaining the strength in his muscles. He was starting to take a few steps by himself, but we don’t want him to overdo it just yet. The way things are panning out, Nico would probably walk again by the end of the year. I realized the other day during training with him that he has become even more vicious than before. I suppose if you keep a dog chained up and starving all day, eventually, when it’s let loose, it will devour any enemy in its path. Dante stands at the head of the table and raises a wine glass; we all follow suit except Serena. “To Dario and Serena, congratulations on your nuptials, Forgiato nel Fuoco, Forgiato nel sangue,” He says, and we men slam our fists to our chest. “Serena, Benvenuti in Famiglia, Piccola spia,(welcome to the family, my little spy)” We all chuckled at his ‘little spy’ comment. “B
Serena I'm still mulling over everything that has happened these last few days. My family was monsters; yes, I know how that sounds since I am also a mafia heir. However, I honestly thought they treated women better than men or at least respected them, but now I know how the men in my family really are. Dante seems to be more of a human, for a man nicknamed il Drago. Wearing jeans and a pretty pink blouse, I wait for Dario to come to fetch me and take me to the dinner Sienna has planned. I still don't know what to expect or how I'll be treated by the rest of the family. Dante Dragonetti, the man I've hated my entire teenage life, is trying to make amends with me, and so was his wife. However, I have no idea how to go about this. I don't trust or forgive easily, but I find that I am willing to try with them. My eyes go towards the door when I hear it unlocking, and Dario steps inside the room. "You ready?" He asks with a smile as he approaches me, sitting on the bed. "As ready as I'
Serena It’s been almost two weeks of living in constant anxiety. I don’t know what my old family is planning, but I know my Pappa well enough to realize that it will be bloody. Dante had a home doctor come in to check up on me and the baby. I’m one and a half months along, so anything could happen at this stage. Sienna and Sylvana seem to be keeping their distance from me since the meeting in Dante’s office, but they weren’t the only ones. I haven’t seen Dario since he left my bedroom that one night. He basically admitted that he’s in love with me and I’m not sure what I should do with that information. How can I trust his words when all they’ve been are lies? Then again, I’m not exactly one to talk since my Pappa sent me here to get closer to him. The boredom of staying in this room was getting to me slowly. Daily I find myself pacing the floor of my room, wondering what would happen next or when my Pappa decides to attack. It’s been too quiet on their side and I fear when somethi
Dario Married. I’m fucking married, and I had no say in it. Words cannot explain how furious I am right now, but I had to grin and bear it. Honor calls for this, and it is my fault that this woman ended up pregnant, so what else could I do? “More clothing will arrive tomorrow. Is there anything specific you require?” I ask her as we reach her bedroom. She shakes her head then as I turn to leave, she grabs me by the arm. When I look back at her, I notice the tears in her eyes, and my composure nearly cracks. “Please, Dario… Please don’t leave,” she begs, looking utterly lost and shattered. I don’t know whether to believe her or not since she’s adept at lying. “What do you want, Serena? My brother has already trapped me in a marriage with you. What more could you possibly need?” I ask and notice the surprise on her face at my words - then anger. “You think I wanted this? To be pregnant with your child and forced to marry someone like you?! Fuck, your ego is even bigger than I origin
Serena The door to my prison opens, and Dario steps inside. He looks over at the food tray, then at me before cocking his head towards the door. “Come. Dante wants to see you,” he says and waits for me to stand up. I walk over to him, and he grabs me by the forearm again. As we walk, I try to see if there is no way of escaping, but as far as I can tell this mansion was huge and felt more like a maze than a home. There’s no way out for now, so I stop looking around and follow Dario. We come to a stop outside of a large oak door, and Dario knocks three times before we step inside what looked like a study or an office. There were five people present already, four of them I already knew: Dante and Sienna, the middle brother Domenico and his traitor wife, Sylvana. The unknown man was tall, but muscular, with the same intense green eyes as Dario, black hair, and dressed immaculately given the time. “This is Serena Speranzini,” Dante introduced me to everyone, and I looked at each of th
