MILAN

"Yeah, okay," I respond to boss and then noticed boss hanging up the call.

"Was he Rudraneel?" Kiara asked immediately as I put down the phone.

"Yeah. He's calling me for work," I tell her.

"So, you're going?" She asked.

I don't know why, but her voice felt like she was hoping for me to stay. But the truth is, even if she wants me to stay, I can't.

"Yeah," I nodded and looked at her.

"But, Milan. We were hanging out," she made a sad face.

"We're hanging out for a month Kiara. And lately, I haven't been focused on my work. If I do that, our business would suffer losses and I can't let that happen. So I have to go," I tell her and stood up to leave.

"Bye. Take care," I smiled and walked away while she stood there, hoping that I may not go.
