The drive to Silver's place was filled with uneasy silence. I believe that Frank was the most shocked of the two of us. We both did not want to admit but we were hurt. It was a different kind of heartbreak when someone you thought had your back was stabbing it.

It was four thirty in the morning so Silver was probably still snoring or he was up all night drinking. He was a diligent lawyer but not much of an ethical one and that was why he had been hired by my father. He was a good corrupt lawyer.

I pulled to a stop in front of his luxurious apartment. He preferred to live in the big ultra-modern city and said it brought him closer to potential clients. The streets were empty, safe for a few parked cars. He stayed in the penthouse so he could enjoy the view of the city.

With all this money and a nice apartment, he still sold his soul to the other side. I was not going to forgive this. I pushed a button at the entrance that indicated the penthouse floor. It
