Inside the office, the brightness blinded me, or at least it threatened to blind me. The office was well-lit, but the paint was a strange choice. It was painted orange from the walls to the furniture and even the tiles.

Perhaps the owner of the office had a strange obsession with colors. My eyes were hurting, and I wanted nothing more than to return to the darkness or the faint brightness of my new room.

Suddenly, the chair behind the large table turned around, revealing a woman who was strikingly reminiscent of a snake. Her neck was long, as was the rest of her face. Her nose looked flat or close to it, as if it had been flattened until it resembled that of a cat.

Her eyes appeared to have been glued in one particular direction without the help of botox. The woman looked at me with hard eyes behind a pair of thick-rimmed cat-eye glasses.

"You may leave her," the woman said. "I will handle it from here," she finished, addressing the man who had left the room.
