Eighty two: Drunk

Jade's pov

I didn't hear him leave his room the next morning. Or rather, he left before I woke up. The headache I got from crying myself to sleep was starting to decrease as I turned in my bed thinking of the previous night's incident.

He hadn't even come after me when I walked to my room. And damn him for that because that hurt as well.

I remembered also he smelt of alcohol and cigarette and as foolish and desperate as I was, I chose to conclude that he might have been drunk the previous night.

Evening came and as I made my food, I ended up making him something as well so he'd eat before going to sleep in case he came back late.

I lied to myself that I was going to go back to my room and leave a quick note for him next to the food, but here I was, on the couch just like the previous day, waiting yet again for him.
