Heartwarming-that's the best way to describe the feeling his smile gave me after I agreed to move in with him. I might regret this decision later, but who cares about the future when we have the present, and tomorrow isn't guaranteed? In this moment, it feels as though my prayers are finally being answered, and I want to seize such a precious opportunity, especially since it often feels like God has been silent during my prayers for so long.

"Are you serious?" Ace asked.

"Yes," I replied.

He stared at me as if he were trying to decipher my intentions. "I thought I would have to drag you out of here, kicking and screaming."

I pushed myself off his lap and stormed across the room. "So, with that little confession, you thought I wouldn't change my mind about going with you?"

Ace followed me like a lost puppy. "Come on, baby, I was only joking," he said gently, caressing my cheek.
