Amaira's POV

My birthday went really well. Austin took all of us for a family dinner after we returned from the picnic, making my birthday extra special. When I said there was no need for all of this, he explained that taking everyone out serves two purposes. One is my birthday, and the other is that Christmas is tomorrow so he wanted all of us to spend time together. According to him, festivals are the reason for the family to spend time together.

I was already wide awake, but I was too tired to walk down the stairs. My mind was just thinking about the last day i.e. my birthday and the way Dominic made it special for me. I don't have enough words to thank him. The loud banging on my room's door brought me out of my reverie and forced me out of bed. I opened it only to be attacked by John, my monkey!

"Merry Christmas, Amy!" He wished me while hugging me tightly and moving our bodies together from here to there.

"Merriest Christmas, John!" I smiled and hugged him back.

Amaira's POVAs we were about to get into the car, John screamed at the top of his lungs, startling me and my mom at our respective spots."DAD!"Our heads jerked in the direction of John, and our gazes followed the path of his gaze. As soon as we spotted the person at whom he was staring, the ground beneath us slid, our heads started spinning and our bodies froze in place. My mother had lost her balance and was about to fall, but I caught her just in time and assisted her in standing on her own."Anthony!" ... "Dad!" I and mother whispered at the same time. As we were standing really close so we could hear each other. Our feet began to move in the direction of the man standing on the opposite side of the road, to ensure that it was indeed our father and that we were not delusory. I wanted to sprint to him, but my feet wouldn't cooperate because my mind was still not ready to accept what my eyes were seeing. Although I wished for him to come back to me but I never expected him to meet

Amaira's POV"Where were you Anthony?" Mother's question grabbed our attention and our heads turned in her direction "why you stayed away from us for so many years?" She inquired further "how could you do this to us?" He released a puff and looked down. He appears to have felt bad for being away from his family even though he was alive. But now mother's emotions have subsided and I believe she is now in a mood to ask everything and take out all the complaints that she is burying inside herself for so many years. "You did not attempt to meet or see us. Did you ever think about us?" She began asking questions after questions, while mine and John's eyes were fixed on dad, who was getting pretty elderly. My eyes couldn't even blink since I was afraid he would vanish if I closed my eyes even for a millisecond. I finally got him after so many years, and my heart can't bear the thought of losing him again at any cost."Anthony, speak out! What were you doing and where were you?" She asked

To ensure that my father is alive and secure, he went against his own father. Both of us were just staring at each other blankly when the car honked, breaking our stupor. While he turned around to look at the car, my gaze drifted to his back."It will drop you all safely to the palace," he said turning his head to face us, trying to avoid meeting my gaze. Mom responded, moving closer to him, "Thank you so much, child. All this time we were taking you so wrong. To repay this favor you gave me, I am willing to do everything. I can't express how grateful I am that you kept my husband safe and brought him to visit us on such a lucky day of the year" Mom added while crying. For a

I inquired further "You were not present in the church when the wedding took place, nor were you present when your father and his goon attacked us," "If I wasn't physically present, that doesn't imply I wasn't thinking about you. I had three people in the church who were more important to me than my life, and I couldn't leave them alone...."Three people? Ava, his mother, and his child in my womb, I guess!"...I was just making sure that you all are safe and no one is harming even your single hair" he further added. "But how?" I asked while blinking. Amaira's POVHe appeared to be very anxious. Before saying those words, which I could sense coming from somewhere, he swallowed and blink in nervousness. He moistened his lips just before saying those words. "I" he paused and took a deep breath. I asked him to continue as I cocked my head. "Lo..." I was eagerly anticipating his confession of feelings. Before he could say anything else, though, we heard the ring of his phone, which caused us to pull apart. He pulled the phone out of his pocket and groaned in disappointment. He stared at the screen for a second before hanging up the phone and tilting his head up to face me to continue where he left off When he was finally able to open his mouth, the phone started ringing once more. This time I was also getting irritated with his phone as the timing was really wrong. I desperately want him to tell me what's there in his heart. He made a puppy face which I had seen for the very first time. He was looking cute though. He sighed and

Dominic's POVI wanted to see the surprise on her face when she finally saw her father after so many years. I could have told her the truth about her father on her birthday, but I chose not to because I wanted to surprise her on Christmas, which I did. One more reason for surprising her on Christmas was Austin. I knew that he will not leave her alone on her birthday and I won't be able to make her meet her father. I knew she and her family were going out to celebrate Christmas, so I decided to include their father in the mix, to make them complete after so many years. They didn't believe he was still alive at first, but after a while they did, and the genuine smile that crept across her lips was just what I was searching for. I had never seen her smile for me before, and her joy had vanished the moment she viewed that footage. So all I wanted to do was put a smile back on her face. She looks divine when she smiles. • Mafia's Deadly Obsession   Epilogue 1

Amaira's POV"Dominic, what are you doing?" I said as I moved away from him "Christian will come any time!" Dominic has been teasing me for the last half hour by touching me here and there. He hasn't given me enough time to get ready for the party. He says I should spend more time making him happy rather than getting ready because, at the end of the day, it is him who will see me and he likes me even when I am wearing ripped clothes."But he hasn't arrived yet!" he whined, pouting like a kid "I don't know, I want my evening love," We didn't want Christian to come home and ruin our surprise, so he went to school and the driver dropped him off directly at his tuition classes after school. The poor kid has been trying to tell us since the morning that it is his birthday, but we have all been ignoring him and pretending that we are unaware. We decorated the house, invited his friends, and prepared everything according to his preferences after he left for school. This was my father's id

Amaira's POVWe all went to our respective rooms after cutting the cake and dancing our hearts out. Christian was the one who did the most dancing. He appears to have been the most overjoyed about the wedding. He ended up being the show stopper, even the young girls were attracted to his charms. They were trying to get a chance to tease him. I am sure he will be embarrassed when he watches his video as he grows older.Ava was teasing me as she led me to our room, which she had personally decorated with her own hands."No way, no, no!" Christian's yelling and cries brought me to a halt. When I looked up, he was thrashing in the grasp of his grandmother, who was doing her best to console him. When Dominic heard his cries, he came out of the room and stood at the door."What happened to him? Is he okay?" I was curious."He begs to sleep with you!" Lady Catherine informed me.I noticed Dominic, was staring at his son with his lips pressed together in a thin line as his mother informed him

I wasn't expecting him to pick her like that."I love my mother, but I want to be with my cutie pie..." He said this while pointing at me, forcing my eyes open.Did he express a desire to live with me?Dominic, who stood beside me, squeezed my palms. His hands turned numb, showing that he was more nervous than I. "She is extremely nice to me. She has never beaten me like momma, she has never punished me by locking me in a dark room, she has given me a lot of chocolates and cookies that I love," he said innocently. "If I go to Momma, she will start beating me again and refuse to feed me. Cutie pie is the polar opposite of her; she even risked her own life to save me from that monster Austin. I will only be with her" He dashed up to me and hugged my legs.Stella called out to him as she noticed him hugging my legs, but he was not ready to listen."

  • Mafia's Deadly Obsession   116| Homecoming

Amaira's POVDominic refused to let me go to bring my father out of his hiding place, no matter how much I begged him. He was concerned about my safety. He was certain that his father would try something to derail their plan and kill my father because he was furious yesterday when he came here. We were all waiting for our father to return, especially me, John, and my mother. The small meeting Dominic arranged for us on Christmas was insufficient to satisfy our longing to meet him. After all, he was away from us for such a long time. Christian was playing in my lap while Lady Catherine and Ava were busy making sure everything was up to the mark for his arrival. I am truly grateful to Dominic's family for accepting me and my family as their own without any selfish motive. It's been an hour since Dominic left to bring my father back, and it's becoming increasingly difficult for me to go even one second without them. No matter how hard I try, I can't help but think negatively because he

"Cutie pie," he said again as I emerged from the bathroom, "where were you?"Christian doesn't like it when I leave his side for even a second. I am not sure how Dominic will get his fair share of time."I was taking a bath," I explained as I sat beside him, "what woke you up?""I had a bad dream," he sniffed, "and I was scared when I realized I was alone in the room." Tears welled up in his tiny eyes. "I thought that he will..." I interpreted him before he could complete himself. "Never think you are alone, my little monkey," I stroked his head lovingly, "I am always with you." He hugged me tightly."Come on, go back to sleep," I said, yanking him away.He nodded and slid back down onto the bed. I took off all the pillows Dominic had placed around him b

"For what?" he inquired."For fighting your own family for me," I said as I looked him in the eyes."I am not fighting for your family; I am fighting for justice, and aren't you my family?" he asked, staring back at me "It should be me who should be thankful to you for saving Christian," "Isn't he mine?" I asked the same question to him. He kept on staring at me for a second before he smiled, closed his eyes, and nodded."But Amaira, you made a mistake by going there alone and that too without informing me," he said."I did it because I knew you would save me," I said with a broad smile "I trust you, Dominic" "Don't you have too much faith in me?" Amaira's POV"Dominic!" I screamed from behind as I didn't want him to take his life. This could become more troublesome for us. But it seems like I became a little late in screaming as he already dug the rock.....As I opened my tightly closed eyes, I saw Dominic still sitting on Austin, but the rock had been dug beside Austin's ear. Dominic's face was just above Austin's, and they were both looking at each other with wide eyes and taking deep, harsh breaths. The scene in front of me was terrifying. When I realized Dominic hadn't killed Austin, the energy in my body drained and I collapsed to the ground, releasing a deep breath that I was holding for so long. Austin appeared to be terrified for his life. Everyone loves their life, no matter how much he encouraged Dominic to kill him. He couldn't have predicted Dominic's reaction. But I am sure Dominic changed his mind about killing Austin because he is his younger brother, and Dominic still values his relationships."Mr. Kingston,

He looked like a complete monster, with bloodshot red eyes, blood dripping neck, a flaring nose, and teeth ready to eat me raw."I am going to ruin you so badly that even Dominic won't accept you if he ever gets you back," he raged from above.I am not sure what I did wrong with him for him to treat me this way. I won't treat even my enemy like this. I took two deep breaths through my mouth as he unzipped his pant and unbuckled his belt. I tried to push him away from his thighs. But he knelt, folded my arms behind the tree, and tied them with his belt."I just hate you, Austin," I screamed while trying my best to fr
