“Go hide under the bed,” I whispered to Adjo, my heart palpitating to the highest.

My entire body shook as I wondered what my faith would be if Guilia found Adjo in my room. She might never forgive me and Dante. I could never look at him.

“Okay,” he said in a low tone, which was loud enough for Guilia to hear.

I frowned, putting a hand over his mouth while pushing him towards the bed.

Guilia groaned.

“I should have known that dad was there, eww, it is your wedding day. Get a grip on yourself,” she said as Adjo got under the bed.

I took deep breaths, scattering my hair even more to make it look like I was busy with Dante, then I walked to the door with my hands shaking tremendously. With one pull, I slightly opened the door, plastering my face between the wall and the door.

“Matteo said he is here already, and I am so excited. I used this as a cover,” she said, handing the phone over.
