Bryan’s head snapped up at the mention of the name “Dave,” confusion clouding his features.

Why would that fool try to take his life? They were never close, but this? This made no sense.

“Take this idiot out of here and dispose of him somewhere else,” he ordered, his voice sharp and unforgiving.

Just then, Phillip’s phone rang, and after answering it, he passed it to Bryan.

“What is it?” Bryan asked, his tone impatient.

“Lord Bryan, Miss Mia has been kidnapped, and I’ve been shot,” the driver revealed, his voice weak.

Bryan’s jaw clenched. “What? Send me your location now. I’ll have the boys pick you up.” Without another word, he ended the call.

“Mia has been kidnapped,” he announced, his eyes flashing with fury.

“Get me my tracker. Good thing I had one installed in her new phone—I knew these bastards wouldn’t stop with just me.” He frowned, his patience running thin as he waited.

Mia was tied to a chair, her wrists and ankles bound tightly. A blindfold covered her eyes as she rema

Bryan guided Mia back to the mansion, but she still couldn’t stop crying. Her eyes were bloodshot, and throughout the drive home, he had tried everything to comfort her, but nothing seemed to work.“Mia, I think you’re going to hurt yourself if you keep crying like this. Shedding tears won’t change what happened. Come on, let’s go inside. You need rest,” he coaxed, his voice softer than usual. She nodded weakly, still sniffling, as they stepped out of the car. He wrapped an arm around her, holding her close as they walked inside. But the moment they reached the living room, Mia pulled away from his hold.“I… I’d like to be alone now. Thanks for everything,” she mumbled, her voice barely above a whisper.Bryan frowned. “What are you saying, Mia? I can’t leave you alone in this state. Bryan’s expression shifted, his initial shock evident, but Mia no longer cared. Her emotions were in turmoil, and she desperately needed space to clear her mind.“Mia, do you really feel disgusted by me this much?” His voice was quiet, yet the intensity in his gaze made her heart ache. She wanted to scream that he didn’t disgust her, that she didn’t hate him at all. In fact, she had fallen hopelessly in love with him. But saying that would change nothing. At that moment all she wants was to be far away from him.Far away from everyone even when she doesn’t have a place to go.Pushing her emotions down, she forced herself to remain firm. “I’ve told you what I want, Lord Bryan. If you really care about me and your children, then you have to let us go. Fiona descended the grand staircase, her heels clicking against the polished marble steps. Her movements were rigid with frustration, her expression stormy as she approached the living room where her mother sat gracefully on the cream-colored sofa. Mrs. Benson took one look at her daughter and let out a scoff, crossing her arms over her chest.“Well, well, look who finally decided to show her face,” she said sarcastically. “I was beginning to think you’d locked yourself up for good.”Fiona rolled her eyes, her patience already wearing thin. “Mom, are you seriously mocking me right now?” she asked, stopping a few feet away. “You know what I’m going through. The night was heavy with tension as Bryan led his men into the underground tunnels beneath the city. The air was damp, filled with the scent of oil, metal, and the distant echo of dripping water. This was a place only the most dangerous men knew existed—a world beneath the world, ruled by those who thrived in darkness.Philip walked beside Bryan, his gun in his grip, eyes scanning every corner. They weren’t alone. Figures emerged from the shadows—men with scarred faces and dead eyes, members of the underground mafia. The moment Bryan and his crew arrived at the luxurious five-star hotel in Mexico, they were escorted to their respective rooms. The hotel was nothing short of extravagant, with marble floors, floor-to-ceiling windows that offered breathtaking views of the city, and soft golden lighting that gave the entire place a warm, elegant feel.Bryan pushed open the door to his suite and stepped inside. The room was spacious, with a king-sized bed neatly made with crisp white sheets, a seating area with plush sofas, and a minibar stocked with expensive drinks.
