Chapter 39 Crumbled Fate

It's been exactly five hours and twenty four minutes but still his meeting hasn't finished yet. What happened? Why is it taking so long? I walked in the direction of the coffee table in my room to drink one more glass of water to calm myself down but I don't think it's going to work on me. I heard a knock on the door as cool water cascading my throat, putting the glass down. I turned to see Alex enter my room and widened the door.

A maid entered after her holding a tray of food in her hand, she quietly put that tray over the coffee table and left with a node on her head without uttering a word.

"You didn't come for dinner, are you ok?" She inquired with a worried face coming towards me.

"I am really sorry for not informing you Alex but I don't feel like eating anything right now." I apologized, she made me sit on a nearby couch.

"Because, brother wasn't there?"She asked in a teasing tone wiggling her eyebrows at me.
