She smirks. “Relax. I’m a billionaire. Money is certainly not an issue.” She winks.

Thump. Thump. Thump. My chest was beating deafeningly loud.

She suddenly laughs loudly at my dumbfounded look. “I was just kidding, tesoro. Don’t worry. We’re safe.”

I didn’t expect to feel down about that. It’s like there’s a part of me that wanted her to be pregnant despite my panic earlier ago.

I shrugged the thought. I don’t think she wants a child with a simple man like me anyway.

“Come, tesoro. Thank you for the massage. I’m feeling better now.” She urged me to sit next to her, her appetite finally coming back.

“Do you want anything? I’ll go get it for you.”

“Coffee.” I nodded before going to the kitchen and prepared her preferred coffee.

“Why are you staring at me like that, tesoro?”

I shook my head knowing I was already staring at her. She was eating slowly while my mind was reeling with endless questions from last night.

“Sorry.”

“Ask away.” I looked at her with raised eyebrows. “I know y
