Chapter 78

Eva's eyes clouded with concern as she watched Rafael's transformation. The man she loved, who had once been so attentive and caring, was now distant and preoccupied. His eyes, once bright and warm, had grown cold and evasive.

At first, Eva had tried to brush it off, thinking that Rafael was just stressed with work or adjusting to life after their vacation. But as the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.

Rafael's absence was palpable, his silence deafening. He would leave early in the morning, without a word, and return late at night, exhausted and withdrawn. Whenever Eva tried to talk to him and ask him what was wrong, he would change the subject or brush her off with a curt reply.

Eva felt like she was losing him, like he was slipping away from her grasp. She tried to hold on, to reach out to him, but he seemed determined to push her away.

She came out of the bathroom after the night shower when she saw him si
