Alessia with no destination in mind, decided to head to the club where Grace worked. At this point, she needed all the help she could get. Her nanny job barely gave her enough money to even think of saving.
The only person who could lend her a hand right now was Grace. Without a phone, the only choice was to pay her a visit to her workplace. She found herself standing in front of the massive building, "Devil's Den," its name etched boldly as the bright lights bathed the area. She dragged in deep ragged breaths from running a lot and made her way into the place. Her clothes were in order, but she was barefooted and her red hair was messy. The guards at the entrance stared at her for a brief second as she walked past them into the place. They didn't say or do anything to stop her. The place was open to anyone who wanted their souls tainted. If someone chooses Hell instead of Heaven, not even God would intervene as he would just sit still while watching the poor deluded soul. So, who were they to try and stop her? Alessia strutted forward into the busy place filled with noises from drunk men who watched the strippers on stage. She glanced around in search of Grace, completely forgetting that Grace stayed at the counter. Because of the way she was dressed, some men couldn't stop ogling her body. Some had lust written all over their faces as they watched her stroll further in and towards the counter this time. She pushed through the busy crowd and successfully made her way to the counter. Instead of Grace, someone else was occupying the counter area. A frown appeared on her face as she watched the newbie. "Hello, welcome to Devil's Den, what would you like to have?" The person said first with a small smile as he watched her. Alessia blinked and shook her head, telling him she wanted nothing. "Where is Grace? Grace Franco." She asked instead. The man's lips formed an O as he realized she wasn't there for a drink. "Gracino was shifted to Devil's Den branch 2 at Big City Sicily." His accent was super thick, but not so difficult for Alessia to understand. "Oh..." She drawled as she realized that Grace left without informing her. She clenched her fist in annoyance, cursing the girl in her heart for being that wicked. Everything seemed to have been going wrong for her today. First, her jerk of an uncle was actually perverted, and then Grace decided to leave without informing her. Out of annoyance, she glanced at the bartender again, flipping her red hair to the back as she dragged in a deep breath. "Give me all of your strongest drink." She said with uttermost confidence, knowing fully she came without money. The Bartender's eyes lit up as this was the opportunity he had been waiting for. He nodded his head and ran off to do as she requested. Even though she didn't want to resort to drinking, she needed to forget what just happened. The bartender returned in no time and served her almost one of every lady's soft drinks before the hard ones. Without wasting time, she latched herself onto the stool and began gulping down the contents in the shots. Being a newbie to these things, she sipped at first, then gulped down the rest. The bartender moved from where he stood watching her and went to attend to others at the other end. Alessia didn't care about anything anymore as she made up her mind to drown her sorrows with the drinks. All the while she sat there drinking and sipping, doing everything she could to avoid the burning sensation that assaulted her each time she gulped the content down, she didn't notice a figure sitting beside her as he sipped his wine casually. Alessia imagined the drink to be Simone's blood and she chucked it down at once. "Zio, I hope you die." She muttered and gulped another down. In no time, she finished up the bottle of drinks the bartender had brought her and felt light-headed. The drinks' effect kicked in as she burped softly. Just then, she finally realized that someone was watching her. The hairs on her body stood up as she slowly but dramatically turned her head to the side. She locked eyes with a mesmerizing pair of gray orbs, which gazed back at her with a hint of amusement on his face. His appearance could rival even the gods of Calabria, and he effortlessly commanded the color black. It was as if he was born to wear it, or maybe black was created exclusively for him. His veiny hands were holding onto the glass in his hand as a dirty image of him wrapping those hands around her neck while fucking the living daylight out of her, flashed in her mind. She couldn't help but shiver, shaking her head to banish that disturbing thought from her mind. This guy staring back at her was absolutely stunning, and any woman who had his children would be incredibly fortunate. For example, her eggs were already crying in anticipation! A thought crossed her mind as she held his gaze with hers, not even knowing where the confidence came from. She really needed to drink more often to get this kind of wit. The man was a dangerous man, no doubt, but surprisingly, she wasn't afraid of him. The image of her uncle trying to take advantage of her flashed in her hazy mind again, but this time, something funny followed. Instead of her uncle, the image was replaced with the man sitting before her. She blinked in shock and averted her gaze instantly. Was this a sign? A sign for her to ask the man out even if she was only meeting him for the first time? "Hello, Handsome." A woman from nowhere came forward to the man who still had his eyes fixed on her. The woman boldly trailed her hand along his white dress shirt as she leaned in to whisper something to him. For some odd reason, Alessia felt anger bubble up in her as she glared at the hand that was touching the godly-looking man. "Do you mind a one-night thing with me?" "No, he is already taken!" Alessia suddenly voiced out, surprising both herself and the man. She climbed off the stool and walked forward to the woman. "Missy, hands off, he is already taken for the night. Right?" She asked and turned to him for an answer. He still had an amused smile on his face as he nodded. "Right." His voice was surprisingly deeper than she expected. Alessia in her drunken state watched as the woman huffed and walked out while murmuring curse words at Alessia. Alessia turned to the man who she had successfully won over and without shying away, plus with the help of the alcohol, leaned in to whisper something to him. "Mr... You smell so nice, I want you to fuck me."The stranger had a smirk on his face as he watched the brave little lady who asked for his audience. Normally, he wasn't a fucker, but she was alluring. Her body, her face, and of course, the red hair. His father always told him that the most dangerous women in the world were those with red hair, pale skin, and ocean-blue eyes. Just like a siren. The lady before him was the typical example of the description. She had the bluest eyes he had ever seen and her red hair gave her a witty demeanor. Her pale skin, banging body, and shamelessness were the very attributes of danger. But for some reason, he felt this little lady could not do anything even if she wanted to.There were warning signs for him to reject her offer, but she was so damn beautiful, and spirit be damned if he let any other man do what she was specifically asking him to do. He might as well chop the hands and dick of whoever the unfortunate person would be.So without any more negative thoughts, he took her to the Devil's
The guards at the entrance bowed the moment they saw him walk towards the huge double doors. With a stoic expression, he marched forward into the room once they pushed the door open. The hall where the meeting was to be held was buzzing with noises of his angry relatives who saw his lateness as an offense to their personality. But the moment the doors were pushed open and he strutted in, the noises seized at once. There was no way around it, they all feared him. He might have that pretty face and that annoying smile all the time, but they knew the person behind that facade would even kill a person while smiling."You're late, Marco!" His uncle finally mustered up the courage to let his frustration out.Marco glanced in his direction and raised a brow, "Am I?"The man suddenly felt his throat run dry as he couldn't find the right words to reply to that question.Marco ignored the curious glances being thrown at him and finally found his seat at the head of the table. His father, Matteo
Dante hurriedly followed Marco as he walked out of the main mansion.Just then, Francesco called out to him. Marco wanted to ignore him, but Dante gestured for him to behave."What is it?" He asked Francesco the moment their eyes met.Francesco with a stoic expression stood before Marco with no space in between them. The De Luca Family were all known for their height and eye color.Everyone had the gray eye color, aside from the snake-eyed Twins of course. Also, they were known to be extremely tall, including the women."In a month's time, when you fail to prove yourself to everyone, I will personally take you down." He threatened without fear. The worst thing Marco hated was threatening and that was the line Francesco crossed.Just when Francesco turned to leave, Marco called out to him this time."The next time you threaten me this way, I won't regard your status in this family and I'll make your son pay with his life." The threat didn't sound like a threat, but it was enough to sen
Alessia was unable to find Grace when she arrived at the club after escaping from Marco's suite. Knowing that Simone might be out there searching for her, she opted to head to the only place where the less privileged would always be accepted; Santa Maria Cattolica. The lord was always said to never forsake anyone, so she hoped he would never forsake her in this time of trouble. When she arrived at the entrance of the huge building, she breathed in and out before stepping in.There were workers already cleaning the sanctuary. A sister was standing not so far from the main gates as she spoke to someone. She knew the workers were giving her the side-eye as she passed. She could totally tell what they were thinking. In her black top and red shorts, Even the Lord wouldn't crack a smile at the outfit.Thankfully, the sister didn't ask her to leave when their eyes met. She just dismissed the man she was talking to, then turned to Alessia with a small smile."Hello, ma'am." Alessia hurr
"Boss, we've got her." Selena said in her usual robotic tone. She stood before Marco, while Ezekiel casually made himself comfortable beside the man. Marco gave him a warning look and said, "Whatever you do, keep a good distance away from me. If I get even a whiff of your over the top perfume again, I'll throw you out and blacklist you." Hearing his ice cold tone of voice, Ezekiel respected himself and shifted away from him. He might as well die if he was blacklisted. Now at a safe distance, he repeated Selena's words. "We've got your angel." Marco sighed, trying to control the sudden thrill that rushed through him. The red hair from earlier was finally in his house. "Good." Was all he said and waved a hand, dismissing Selena. Selena gave a slight bow and walked out of the living room, leaving Marco and Ezekiel alone."Can I ask you something?" Ezekiel began, trying to come close to Marco, but remembering the warning and keeping his distance immediately. "No." Marco replied b
Alessia's breath hitched the moment the man's intoxicating scent wafted into her nostrils. Her head also found it hard to understand his words. His closeness to her wasn't letting her think through the words he said to her, but luckily for her, she was able to think it through. "I want you.." Those words rang in her head again when she replayed them. Her blue eyes immediately flew towards him as she frowned. "Excuse me?" She blurted out before she could hold herself back. This stranger had to get something straight, Whatever happened between them was all a mistake between them. God forbids her from ever having anything to do with a wealthy man in Reggio Calabria. They were all into shady businesses. She had always made a promise to herself that she would never be indulged in fraud, stealing, or any criminal act. This man standing before her had danger written all over him, but his looks were worth dying for. He looked nothing like a criminal, but one can't deny the aura surro
That night, Alessia cried bitterly as she sat on the cold floor in the bedroom. Never in a million years did she ever envision such an ending. It was all thanks to Simone that she unfortunately found herself in such a condition. If he hadn't tried to touch her, she would never have run away. She would never have optioned to drink at the club. She would never have slept with the stranger who ended up imprisoning her against her will. She sat on the cold floor, thunder and lightning painting the sky in shades of fear and uncertainty. Her tears streamed down her face endlessly as the memories of everything came replaying in her head. She wailed even more the moment the thunder blasted into the sky. One thing about her; she was scared of thunderstorms. Now left alone in the cold dark room, 'ok, the room wasn't dark', she felt her breath clogging up as she felt as if the wall was closing around her. She didn't know how long she sat on the floor crying, but sooner than expected, sh
An ear-piercing scream tore through the dark room as the man tied to the chair sitting in the center of the room cried bitterly from all the torture being thrown at him. His bloodied face and body were the evidence of the brutality he was facing from Marco. While he looked a total mess, Marco looked calm and collected, nothing like a person who was busily inflicting pain on the other party.Dante stood behind him, watching with a stoic expression as Marco gave the man the beating of his life. Marco's movements remained elegant and effortless as he inflicted pain on the man who had refused to accept his offer. The man was unable to bear the pain anymore, so he immediately pleaded in agony. "Wait up you mother fucker!" He yelled as he spat out a mouth full of blood, a few teeth following the blood out. “Figlio di puttana!” He muttered a curse in Italian as he spat out more blood onto the ground.Marco watched with a smirk as if enjoying the view before him.“So, what now?” He aske
"And what do you mean by that?" Victor asked in confusion. He didn't understand what Dante meant by taking it to the next level. " You want to marry her? " He added. "What? No! She would never accept me." Dante's lips twitched. "Then what are you talking about, you punk?" "It simply means that I want to ask her to become my girlfriend." Dante rolled his eyes and said. Victor was a doctor, but a dumb one. " So you two aren't a couple yet? Got it. You're just friends? " " With benefits." Dante finished, giving him a firm nod. Victor shook his head at the absurdity of his words. Dante was definitely sick in the head. "I can't stay here anymore. I can't believe you all still indulge in this silly friends with benefits shit! I better leave!" He yelled and turned to walk away. Dante chuckled and followed after him. Victor was such a character, that was exactly why they needed him around. After Victor left, Dante went in search of Grace. He found her in her bedroom and on phone wit
“You did what?!" Salvatore’s voice thundered as he yelled at his right-hand man, Kade, an American. Kade had narrated the entire operation to him. Today had been a total mess. The initial plan was to grab Alessia and return to Salvatore, but thanks to Marco, they had to waste some bullets. They didn't even go with enough. “Sorry, Tore. We tried not to attack, but that Marco man had to open fire, and we lost Lorenzo." Kade explained again, he knew how dangerous Salvatore could be when he was angered. Salvatore glared at the good-for-nothing men he had deployed to get Alessia for him.Salvatore’s dark eyes narrowed as he slowly turned to the rest of his men, his jaw clenched. "You lost Lorenzo… but what about Alessia? Where is she? Why didn’t you bring her?"Kade swallowed, glancing nervously at the others as if searching for backup. "We planned to take her. Just grab her quietly and bring her back, like you ordered, boss. But Marco didn’t give us a chance. He opened fire, and we ha
Alessia was dumbfounded when she heard Marco's words. The house was hers? He bought a house for her?! It was hard to believe that Marco went out of his way to buy a mansion by the seaside for her.Kendrick bowed with a smile when Alessia pulled Marco in for a hug. She owned a house? Like her own house now? She kept asking herself multiple questions, unable to come up with a solid answer.Kendrick then excused himself, wanting to set up lunch for the both of them. The moment he left, Alessia turned to Marco. “Seriously? A house for me?" She asked him, her eyes shining with unshed tears.Marco grinned and nodded. “It's what I have to do for my woman. My girlfriend." He added the last part with a gentle kiss on her shoulders.Alessia's heart fluttered; he hadn't asked her out yet, but he called her his girlfriend. Should she be happy or sad?“Your girlfriend? Since when?" She asked purposely, cocking her head to the side.Marco looked away, flustered. He realized he hadn't even asked her
Dante’s words continuously rang in Marco's head as he walked out of his office. He had acted tough and nonchalant just now, but deep down, he was bittered. This position as Clan head was acquired from his sweat and blood, his sleepless nights, and brutal training, but he was about to give it all up.He knew he would officially draw the battleline between him and his father, but he didn't care one bit. He was already tired of fighting a losing battle. As much as he hated to admit it, Double S was much more powerful than he could ever be. He was tactical and wise in this game of theirs.Marco walked into the living room to see Alessia and Grace seated and covering. At this moment, all Marco wanted was to be in her arms and never move away, but she needed to have an alone time with her friend after all. Alessia turned to see him, she saw the look in his eyes and frowned. She could already sense that he was in a sore mood.“I'll be back." She said to Grace and stood up to approach Marco.
"We have to get Alessia out of Marco’s house," Salvatore said firmly as he sat back down. He stood up earlier to pace the room after the realization that Alessia was his sister. His twin sister.Marcel barely lifted his head. "I know. And you’ll do whatever it takes to make sure that happens."Salvatore nodded. "I’ll get her out. No matter what."Marcel gave a small nod, his eyes cold and calculating. "Good. Then go."Salvatore turned to leave, his steps steady as he walked out of the room, leaving his father alone. Marcel sat quietly for a moment, his fingers tapping the armrest of his chair. His heart trembled slightly, a rare sign of emotion for him. He couldn’t stop thinking about Alessia. She was his daughter, after all. Though he hadn't seen her in person, that photo was enough. How could Celine have kept this from him? How could she have hidden their child before dying? Marcel clenched his fist, his face tightening with anger and regret. He wasn’t sure how, but he would get Ale
The double doors of the Marino base mansion swung open, and Salvatore stepped inside. His usual calmness was gone, replaced with excitement as he walked briskly through the grand hallway. Today, he had news—important news. He stopped the first servant he saw. "Where's my father?"The servant, a bit startled, nodded toward the garden. "The boss is in the garden, sir."Salvatore nodded curtly, barely acknowledging the response before heading straight to the garden. He passed through a maze of corridors, finally bursting through the doors that led outside. As he approached the entrance to the garden, the guard stationed there stepped forward."The boss is in a conversation, sir," the guard said, his voice low and respectful.Salvatore narrowed his eyes. "With who?"The guard glanced toward the garden and hesitated before responding. "A woman, sir."Not bothering to wait for more details, Salvatore pushed past the guard and strode into the garden. His eyes immediately fell on Marcel, sit
"Let's watch a movie instead," Alessia suggested as she stepped out of the bathroom, holding her hair up with the hairpin she had fortunately brought along with her from the base. Marco sprawled on the couch in the living room, turned to look at her. "I don't watch movies, Mia Cara. I'll rather hold you throughout the night." He grumbled. Alessia snorted, taking a seat beside him on the couch. "I've always known you to be a boring man, but not watching a movie? That's extreme, Marco." She stated, reaching for the remote control on the table before them. Marco opened his mouth, ready to protest and maybe, snatch the remote from her, but Alessia added before he could do so, "Don't even think of anything funny, Marco De Luca. You won't like the outcome." Marco sighed dejectedly and instead, snaked his hand around her neck to hold her close. "At least let me hold you while we watch the movie." Alessia didn't protest, letting him hold her close. Honestly, she needed the warmth radia
Marco lifted her off the ground, not breaking the kiss as he carried her bridal style into the house.Alessia's dainty hands were wrapped around his neck, her face heating up at the sweetness of his lips on hers. She could never get enough of kissing this man.He walked into the massive bedroom, shutting the door with his right leg and hurriedly setting her down there.Alessia was confused as to why he placed her down by the door. Her chest heaved up and down from the intense kiss they just shared. Her blue eyes sparkled when it met his.Alessia didn't even get the chance to admire the room before Marco spoke.“I want to take you here." He muttered, closing the distance between them as his hand snaked around her waist again.Take her here? Which meant that he wanted to have sex with her by the bedroom door. For some reason, the idea made Alessia's core throb in excitement. She had always wanted to try out new things, and it was time to do so.“Take me…. Wherever and however you want m
"Oh my goodness!" Alessia gasped in shock, staring at the place. Before she was a calm lake, looking ever so peaceful and wonderful as the birds chirped in the background. She had never seen anything so peaceful in her entire life. This made her wonder just how long she had been living a life of stress. If she wasn't being a nanny, then she was on the run from a Mafia boss, she never had the luxury to go for a vacation or maybe visit the beach. Alessia loved water a lot. She would do anything to be closer to one. "You like it?" Marco asked from behind her. " I love it! " She yelled out with a huge smile, turning to look at him. "There's more," "There's more?" Alessia asked him, her eyes shining brightly. Marco nodded, confirming her words."Oh my goodness, show me!" She yelled and rushed towards him." Calm down, Mia Cara. I'll show you if you're calm. " Marco teased, snaking a hand around her waist to pull her closer to him. Alessia blushed and nodded, making a sign of zippin
