Maeve POVWe appeared in the living room; of course, George teleported us here, and no one was in the living room.“Where are you guys?” I mind linking Duncan.“Maeve? Oh, thank fuck, you are here; the pack is under attack,” Duncan rushed.“Where are the kids?” I asked.“Odin said he kept them safe,” he said. I looked at Ario and George.“I can’t believe they are attacking right after we left,” I said, going to our room to fetch my sword.“Selene told them to attack because you two are not here and you’ve been gone for 5 days,” he said, following us. I entered the closet trying to change, but before I could do anything, my outfit changed to armor, and there was a sword in my hand. I gasped.“My sword,” I said, looking at it. This is a special sword that can kill any god. This is the sword that killed Ario and I; how did he find it?“Your sister tried to hide it, but I stole it,” he said, and even Ario was in armour and with a sword. I smiled.“Okay, let’s go,” I said, and we rushed out
Maeve POVI turned around, and I saw they were retreating.“Did you get Jasper?” I mind link Duncan.“No, I didn’t see him, but Ario is with Elizabeth,” he said. I took a deep breath, looking for Ario, then traced his scent, and I got to him, and he was holding Elizabeth down. I walked to them.“Where is Jasper?” I asked, staring at her. She has changed; her hair is dark, and she looks evil with the red shade of lipstick.“Why should I tell you?” she asked, smirking. I grabbed her throat, draining her life out of her.“Where is Jasper?” I asked, my voice deep. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she was limp in my hands.“You are killing her,” Ario said, holding my hand. I dropped her, and she gasped, holding her throat.“Where is Jasper?” I asked, using my command on her. She looked at me, her eyes blank. She opened her mouth, about to talk, but an arrow pierced through her heart, and she fell to the floor, dead. I had no idea where the arrow came from, but she was dead.“I c
Maeve POV“I am not sure we can get anything of Jasper here,” I said, looking at the place that used to be a land full of happy pack members.“Yes, it’s been five years,” Brandon said. It has been a few days, and me, Brandon, Ario, and George decided to come check the pack.“Nothing is here, no scents, no life; everything looks abandoned,” I said. Ario breathes out.“So what do we do?” Ario asked. I looked at George.“Is there another way to locate him?” I asked.“Yes, if I can know where he stays exactly, I can get you to him,” he said.“But you are a warlock. Isn’t it supposed to be easy for you?” Brandon asked.“Yes, but I don’t see everything; my eyesight is sometimes very limited, so I can only see things nature wants me to see,” he said. I sighed.“Who can get us to him?” I asked.“Just Maya and Felix,” Brandon said.“How do we lure them here? I can’t remember when last I saw Maya,” Ario said, and it’s true. I can’t remember when I last saw her; we all completely forgot about her
Maeve POVI breathe out, standing in front of the warriors we have been training for five years. Now, it’s time to put their training to the test. They have filled these two weeks with even more hard training; we have been here and there getting everyone ready. The pack knows what is going on, but we have tried to keep them calm because we know Selene has her eyes on us and we won’t want her to find out what is going on. Well, that is where George comes in; he has been keeping tabs on her, and every time he notices her presence, he makes things different in the pack from what is actually going on, which helps a lot. But now it’s time to put them to the test.“Suncreek pack!” Ario yelled over the crowd, and everywhere was quiet. We were all ready, wearing our armour, and ready to attack.“We have been training tirelessly for years now; some of you have been here since we started the elite training, while some of you are new here and some of you are just getting here, but we are here now
Maeve POVI walked around the pack; there were dead bodies everywhere, but not much from my pack. I could barely see any dead warriors, which made me proud because all that training showed they fought would have been devastated if they were to die like the rogues because we trained them hard.“Where are you?” I mind-link Ario.“At the factory,” he replied, and I walked towards the factory. The factory is where the rogues are kept and experimented on. Getting there, I saw all of them standing by a body, and I could hear Maya crying. Getting there, she was crying on Felix’s dead body.“You killed him?” I asked, standing beside Ario.“I was about to, but she killed him herself,” he said, still staring at Maya.“Why did she kill him?” I asked, surprised.“He has been so horrible to her; he would rape or sleep with any female that came his way, abuse Maya, and treat her like his puppet; one time he almost armed their pup, Lana,” Odin said, and we all kept quiet.“who knew he would turn like
Maeve POVWe came out of the portal, and we were in the woods, but this wood was different. There were beautiful hills and mountains. The grass looks so green and healthy, and the fresh breeze blows me as the beautiful scent of fresh flowers goes up my nose. Yeah, this has that fresh atena scent.“Wow, beautiful landscape,” Brandon said as I took Otto’s hands.“But why are we here? Brandon asked, and immediately he said that some horses with carriages came toward us. The men came down from the horses. “Welcome back, my lord,” they said, bowing their heads. Odin waved his hand dismissively.“Mother, father, you ride this carriage,” Odin said, and the guards turned to us, and a gasp left their lips.“Warrior princess, god of war, you are alive,” they said in unison, bowing their heads flat.“Lead me to the carriage,” I said, dismissing them and they nod their heads, avoiding eye contact with me.“Why can’t I mind link?” Brandon whispered, but we all heard him.“There are different super
Maeve Pov It’s been two weeks since we got here, and we are finally settled. I have not moved around much because Ario brought in the idea of having a ball before the coronation to introduce Ario and me, so everyone can be aware we are alive because, according to Odin, nobody knows if we are alive or not. So, hence the ball. “You look pretty, as always,” Ario said, hugging me from behind. I am dressed in a cream-coloured gown. The up and arms of the gown are net, showing my skin and the gown has a slit starting from my thighs. The gown is tight, hugging my curves tightly, and what I love about the gown is the gemstone's embroidery on it. I can’t imagine how much this gem is worth. The gems adore the gown, and it gave it this sparkly look. Then my black hair is wavy, covering my back, and the make-up is soft, with the red on my lips giving me a soft but dangerous look. I look approachable and intimidating, but I love the look the maids have tried their best in making look like this.
Maeve POV The double doors opened, and the spotlight was on us. There was a collective gasp as their eyes fixed on us. The hall was quiet, the tension and shock were choking, and I tried my best to hold back an eye roll. “Presenting, the goddess of war, Selena, who is now called Maeve and the first and only wolf ever made, her mate Ario, formerly known as Carson, and, of course, their children, Otto and Quinn! King Odin's family!” a man yelled inside the mic, making my ears cringe because the hall was silent. “He didn’t need to yell so loud,” Otto said, walking ahead, and I chuckled, following him. We walked slowly, the spotlight still on us, and suddenly I stopped walking, noticing a change in the air. It felt cold. And I knew who that was. I turned around, and of course, she came in wearing the exact clothes I was wearing. The hair was alike, except the eyes. Over the days, my eyes have been looking more blue than they used to, but hers is still plain brown, so people can still te
