"Pushing someone away and distancing yourself gives you a reason to love harder."
"Salir." [Get out] I snarled at the bitch who was still laying in the bed. I finished fucking her and it seems like she thought she was someone special.
The room I was in was at one of my bars in the city, I can still hear the loud music from the first and second floor. All the VIP rooms were in the third floor.
"But baby..." she purred out, sounding like a fucking dead cat. "We're not finished yet."
I turned to look at her and glared, her blonde hair irritating me more than it should. "Maybe you didn't hear me right."
I stepped closer and when I was inches away, I grabbed her jaws by with my hand and squeezed. She turned red right away, her eyes tearing up. Great.
A bitch and a crybaby.
"Get. The. Fuck. Out. P**a." [Bitch]
Her teary eyes stared at mine while she slowly nodded. She couldn't move much because of my hold. After she agreed to go, she immediately stumbled off the bed and ran to the door.
I sighed. If it wasn't such a fucked-up day, I would've taken up her offer. In the past, I would've fucked her and many others 'til sunrise. But no.
It just wasn't enough.
I couldn't get the blonde little girl out of my head.
Madie.
Never did I think that I would feel like this towards someone. Not only was I entranced by the little minx, I was also jealous that Adon got to her first.
It should've been me.
I walked towards the bar by the corner of the room and poured myself a glass of whiskey. Even after two rounds with that girl, I felt nothing. It wasn't enough.
I wanted-no, I needed something else.
Someone else.
I needed Madie.
She was preoccupying my thoughts, running around in my mind while giggling and hopping about. I can't think of anything else but her.
It's been a week since I last saw her in the house. And even if they tried to hide it, I knew Adon and the others were sneeking her into the house when I'm not there. They were entertaining her with food and movies while she enjoyed it.
Fuck was it adorable.
I knew every single thing that's happening in that house. I had CCTV cameras installed in every corner, just so I knew what my men were up to.
I was so glad I made that decision. I pulled out my phone and checked the footage. It's been so long since I last saw the precious little girl.
Switching the cameras to the kitchen when I didn't see her in the living room, I saw Madie running around the kitchen with Hop in tow. They were running around while their faces were smudged with something white.
I saw baking equipment in the counter and guessed it was flour. Adon was at the other side of the kitchen and laughing while he was preparing what looked like cookies.
I looked back at Madie and saw how happy she was playing. Her little body bouncing up and about.
What I would give to be there with her.
She was a precious little girl. It wasn't a normal sight for people to see. Little girls in their little space and just playing, being happy.
Madie was a genuine little and even though I didn't like it coming from my mouth, I'm glad that she has Adon as her Daddy.
Adon was a good man, a great soldier too. Even though I didn't know that he was into DDLG, I was glad that he was the one Madie picked as her Daddy.
He was one lucky bastard.
I sighed, gulping the last drop of my drink to rid my mind of these thoughts. My chuckles were deaf to my ears because of the alcohol.
I, Dario Espinosa, was jealous of one of my men because he has a little. Fuck my life.
I was already finished with the whiskey and I still can't get her out of my head. I can still her giggling at the back of my head, her smile so bright it shames the sun and stars.
From the window by the wall, I can see the city in the afternoon light. The sun was just about to set.
I was finished with what I had to do today. No clients, no papers. I was just avoiding getting home and seeing Madie.
If I did see her now, I might do something that will scare her off. I don't want that.
If I see her now, I might snatch her off her feet and put her on my shoulders, run and get away. Somewhere far. Just so I could have her to myself.
But I couldn't do that. One thing I wouldn't do is fuck with someone who was in a relationship, much less marriage. I respected boundaries with people who are committed. Same goes with their consent.
That's why I want to avoid Madie as much as possible. I had to remind myself not to associate myself with her because she had Adon, her Daddy. I wanted to stay away.
For her sake, and mine.
Looking back at my phone after some hour, I saw Hop urging Madie to get in the car with a paper bag in his hands. I guess she was going home now. Back to their orphanage.
That was a question I wanted to ask. Why hadn't Adon arrange her papers yet? She should've been out of that orphanage by now. Why hadn't he? He should be taking care of her like the princess that she is.
I shook my head, once again, at my thoughts. 'No, D. It's not your business.'
Seeing as Hop was taking her home, I prepared to get home and go straight to rest. I didn't want to do anything. I felt so drained even if I wasn't that busy today. I wanted to go to sleep.
Sleep and dream of her.
Getting in my car, I drove home, my thoughts still consumed by the little girl.
Maybe I needed more alcohol for it to go away.
Reaching home, I didn't bother to greet my men. I just threw my keys at one of them by the garage. I wanted to go straight to the bar at this house and drink away. Maybe then she'll go away.
I walked by the front door, alcohol in mind. Reaching the stairs and going up, I was about to enter the home bar but stopped in my steps.
I was already in the east side of the house, and someone was here. I could hear the pitter-patter of feet by the end of the hallway, soft feet touching the ground.
My hand neared the gun by my waist, ready to grab it and shoot at whoever this fucker was. I slowed my walk and stepped closer to the person who was tiptoeing in the hall.
My men wouldn't dare go near this side of the house. They knew that I don't allow them here. Only picked helpers cleaned the east side, and when they do, they weren't allowed to touch anything.
I myself cleaned my room and office, and one other room. I don't allow helpers there. Especially not my men.
So, who dared go here and prance around? Whoever this intruder was, he was fucking dead.
Clutching my gun in my hands as I neared the intruder, I was ready to shoot whoever it was when I heard a voice. I turned the corner and saw the form of the person I thought was an intruder.
I quickly hid the gun, putting it back it my holster. She didn't need to see it.
"Madie." I spoke, and I saw how she jumped in surprise to my voice. I cursed silently, I should've been more quiet. I saw her slowly turning and her head tilted a bit. She was really surprised; her hands shook a bit.
I spoke my next words gently "What are you doing here?"
And then she turned her pretty little head to my direction.
She turned fully, and that's when I really saw her. Her hair was in a messy pigtail, each section on both her shoulders. Her eyes wide with surprise, and her pink lips parted a bit, just so I could see her teeth a bit.
M****a. [Fuck]
"Daddy is all you need, baby. Nothing and no one else. Just me. Just Daddy.""Madie. What are you doing here?"She didn't answer for a while. Her body was turned to me, and her hands were together. Her feet were also shifting here weight from left to right. She was nervous. Around me.It took everything in me not to coo at her. She was adorable."Uhm..." she mumbled, her voice stuttering a bit "Ellie."I couldn't hear her, maybe because she was a bit far. And she was mumbling her words. Her head moved and she looked at the floor, getting all shy.I smiled gently at her, even though she wasn't looking at me. "I didn't catch that, sweetheart. What was that?"She shifted her feet again, before moving her head back and looking at me. She was blushing now.Adorable."Ellie." mumbling once again."No mumbling, baby. I can't hear you." There was no reprimanding in my voice. I
"But Daddy, I don't understand. Why can't I be with you? I promise I'll be a good girl. Please. I want to be with you, Daddy.""Madie?" It was Sister Mary Eunice calling from outside.I was about to leave again for Adon and the others' house.I dressed up with a pretty pink summer romper with a white shirt inside. I feel good today, and I feel pretty.I had my bag on my shoulder and ready to go, but Sister Mary Eunice blocked the door and called me."Yes?" I asked, smiling at Sister Mary Eunice. I was in such a good mood today. I was excited and I'd get to play with Hop and Adon and Neil.Sister Mary Eunice's eyes shifted up and down, like she was looking right through me. But just at my clothes.Did she find me pretty?"Where are you going, Madie?" she asked curiously."To my friend’s house!" I answered her, jumping up and down. It's been many times that I'
"Daddy, do you pinky promise to take care of me, feed me, shower me with love always, and always give me nummies and stuffies now and forever?I pinky promise, baby."I woke up to a new day, another day of playing and eating with friends. I got so excited to go out today that I went straight to the bathroom instead of playing with Ellie a bit.My dream was so good. I dreamt of unicorns eating peanuts and elephants eating cotton candies. Maybe it was the opposite but still, it was a bit the same.I was about to brush my teeth in front of the mirror buy stopped when I saw what I was wearing. A pink and white outfit.I was confused a bit when I remembered what I was supposed to do this afternoon. I was supposed to go to my friend’s house and play and eat!But I slept instead! Stupid Madie. Why did I have to be such a sleepy head?! I wasted time sleeping instead
"I'll be here for you, baby. Always and forever.""What do you mean, force you out?" I snarled at Adon who called me just now to inform me that they were kicked out of Madie's home. "I told you to guard Madie, not pick a fight with her guardian!"I was driving from one of my bars to get home, hoping the three of them are on their way. But no, not at all."Hop and I didn't do anything, D." he objected, sounding frustrated too "She made Madie go up to her room and then, all of a sudden, she was pissed!"I just listened to what he has to say. The nuns at that orphanage can be a handful sometimes."Then, she started talking about how she knew we were bad people and we were going to hurt her! We couldn't even talk much, she just kept on blabbering on." he sighed. My guess would be his hand was rubbing the side of his head right now. "And then she kicked us out."I only sighed in reply. These two people
"To hold you in my arms is one of the best feelings in the world.""Good morning, sweetheart" I greeted the little girl who was slowly waking up in my bed. I had a breakfast tray in my hands, with toasts, bacon and eggs, pancakes too.I saw Madie's eyes slowly start to open and placed the tray aside. It looks like she was still in her little space, still all adorable and sleepy."Hi, baby..." I cooed, making sure that I wasn't scaring her, and I was gentle. She looked like she was still shook on what happened last night "Hi..."Her little morning eyes stared at me for a moment, rubbing her eyes with her hands, and then she tilted her cute little head. She was a real sweetheart."It's Daddy, baby" I said slowly, wanting to know if she remembered calling me that yesterday or not. I didn't want to surprise her by confusing her "It's Daddy..."I took it to myself to make sure that she won't need anothe
"You're my baby girl, sweetheart. And I'm your Daddy.""Hey, D." Neil said by my back, carrying two glasses of whiskey on his hands. "How is she?"I turned to him and thanked him for the drink, gulping it down straight and feeling the heat on my throat. I sighed at his question. It's been two days since Madie stayed with me. And I loved the attention from her, especially because she is in her little space. But I couldn't help but get worried. It's been two days and she wasn't coming out of her space. What happened at the orphanage the other day must have hit her hard? It worries me that I couldn't ask her questions and I wouldn't get answers.I also needed to talk to her about our relationship. I wasn't going to let her go now, but I wanted her permission first.I love spending time with Madie while she was in little space, but I didn't want to take advantage of her vulnerable state. I loved hearing her
"From the day you walked into my life, you're all I think about. You're the reason I breath. You are the stars in my sky. I wouldn't want this any other way. You are the love of my life.""I'm your Daddy."Madie stared at me with wide eyes, a quick "Nuh-uh" following right after. Her curious stare turned into a cute glare. My little baby was adorable. She thinks she looks scary with that glare, but really, she looked like a cute kittyMy baby kitty."I don't have a Daddy, Mister Dario." she gritted her teeth, her cat like face only reaching my chest "You're a liar."Mierda.[fuck]I wanted to tell her that she spent the last three days with me, and that she called me 'Daddy' every single minute and cuddled me hard. But rushing into things would scare her. And I didn't want that.I wanted her to be comfortable with me, and to trust me.Little's who have their caretakers o
"You opened your heart and let me in. I was yours ever since."After their lengthy conversation about their current relationship, Dario and Madie made their way downstairs to the kitchen. It was almost dinner and Dario wanted to make sure that Madie was fed well. The events and conversation from earlier were stuck in his head. As much as he wanted to carry Madie up in his arms and cuddle her warm, he couldn't.She was all shy and red since they finished talking. She had Ellie on her arms, whispering things into his ear.And judging by the smile on her face, he guessed it was about how she have her own Daddy now. It made him happy to see her that way.For now, he has to be gentle with her. He can't just scoop her in his arms and expect her to be okay with it. She was adjusting to their state right now and he didn't want to push her.Even though they already spent time with each other in the previous days,
"Baby, you're the reason I live and the reason that I die. You're the reason that I smile yet break down and cry. You're the reason that I keep going and the reason why I fall. Because without you in my life, I'm nothing at all."The screams and squeals of excitement flooded in Madeline's ears as she looked around. Everyone had someone with them. Some were having their lunch in some food stalls, and some were lining up in line for the rides. The screams were from the people who were riding the roller coaster, some on towers and some on fast-spinning carousels. She could also smell the fragrance of delicious food in the air, as well as the sweet smell of desserts that were given out to the kids, and adults too.On her right, she could see the swans on the water with people aboard. They were taking pictures with smiles on their faces, together with their kids and other family.Madie couldn't help bu
"If giving my everything is what it takes, I won't hesitate. Not even for a second. That's what it means to have something you'd give your life to save."Ivan's thoughts stopped, as if the words that came from his Father's mouth was far-fetched, almost unimaginable. He couldn't help but laugh. Really, when it comes to being an asshole, he couldn't deny that he got that from his father.Looking down on the child that was in front of him, he couldn't help but wonder how undeniably pretty she was. Fair skin, blonde hair, green eyes."What's her name?" he asked, eyes staring deeply at the trembling child standing in front of him. He meant the question for his father who was smoking a cigar just by his leather couch, but the little thing answered him instead."M-Madeline, S-Sir." the eight-year-old answered, avoiding his eyes as much as she could. She answered her ques
"I'd rather drain every vein in my body than to watch you cry painful tears. I'd spare you tears for the rest of your life if I could. I'd take your pain and trauma away. I'd make you forget so you can be happy once more.""What's wrong?" Madie asked, head tilted to the side as she stared at Neil. Why was he standing by the door like that? What if someone was coming in and he was blocking the way?She was about to ask him again when she saw the foot by the door. Huh?Her confusion worsened as she stared, talking a few steps forward to see if someone left a mannequin by the women's comfort room. But of course not, this wasn't a department store. This was an airport, why would a mannequin be here?It felt like her heart stopped when she reached the middle part of the body that was lying down on the floor.Blood.
"If anything ever happened to you... I wouldn't know what to do. I'd be lost. My heart would be gone together with you."Dario stood staring as he watched the people in black come and go. It was a big ceremony, proper for a man who handled a big organization. It was his father's funeral."My condolences." one old man told him, shaking his hand as Dario stood by the door to welcome the people. More followed him, some strangers and some familiar. To be honest, he wanted to be anywhere than here.He sighed, eyes looking everywhere to find someone who can replace him. Anyone.'Right.' he thought. He was the heir. He was the one who'll take care of everything his father left. The next boss. The funeral passed and most of the people were gone before the sunset. One by one, they left with a nod to him. The only family member who was there for th
"A very small degree of betrayal is sufficient to cause the death of trust."Dario stormed into their house, nerves jumping as he realized that there was nobody anywhere. The moment he drove the car to the garage, he was already in fear as to why no one was outside.Where were the guards? Why weren't they at their posts? The worst started to come into his mind as he ran inside, screaming for Madie as he did so, his eyes furiously searching for him."Madie!" he screamed for her, opening the doors at the first floor of the safe house to find her. Nothing was missing, nothing was messed up and it didn't look like anyone barged it. Their luggage was still there untouched where it was before he left. "Baby!"The thought of Ivan getting to Madie and hurting her made him catch his breath. He couldn't take it.He made it to the second floor when he heard Adon's car in the driveway. They were
"Truth hurts. Doubt ruins. Lie destroys.""What is it?" Dario asked as soon as Eliana picked up the call."D..." she spoke, her voice coming in quiet yet clear via phone. "I-I know it's not the best time, and I know it's late but-""What's the matter, Eli?" he asked, looking back at his baby girl's sleeping form. He had to be quiet or else he'd wake her."Madeline... the first time I came to visit, the first time you introduced her, and I heard her name- it seemed familiar, like I heard it before."Dario's brows furrowed at her words. He didn't understand. How could Eliana know who Madeline was when she was seven?"And when Neil called me to tell me about the ambush at the port... it confirmed everything I was thinking of. He told me about Manuel."He remembered Neil telling him that they did in fact talk, Eliana and him.
"See, betrayal... you know that it will never come from your enemies.""You gonna go now?" Madie asked as she watched her Daddy leave some of his things by the passenger seat of his car, loading them and starting the car before walking over to her and cuddling."Yeah, baby. Daddy needs to go now." he answered as he left a small peck on her forehead. They were in each other's arms, with Dario's wrapped around her tiny waist and moving slightly side to side, causing them to sway. They were in their own magical world."And-and we'll go to ride the airplane later?" she asked again, still looking up to him. Her Daddy was tall, and she had to crane her neck very much to see him properly. She forgot to ask if they had giant gene in their family.Dario chuckled before nodding at her question. "Yeah, baby. And then we'll go to Hawaii, and then we'll have a house near the beach, and then we can swim and pla
"I swear I couldn't love you more than I do right now, and yet I know I will tomorrow.""Shh..." Dario whispered into Madie's ears as his hands did its work. "I got you, baby. Daddy's got you."His kisses deepened on her lips, more breath taking than ever. They were long gone the cool air outside, the warmth of their room enveloping them as their bodies stayed together.Carrying her in his arms was easy and light, as it ever was. Their lips and bodies stayed interlocked as he walked them both inside and to their room, easily avoiding the guards in their post just by the hallway. They knew not to look, but if they did, they he'd have to gauge their eyes out.Minutes in their room and Dario had his shirt off, whispering sweet words to Madeline as he took hers off her body. Slowly, sweetly, gently. Each inch of clothing he took off her body, he replaced with a gentle kiss. His lips touched her body
"I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you.""Are you going to be okay?" Eliana asked Dario who was seated beside her.He had his laptop by him, working. His baby girl was running around being chased by Chase, Eliana's pet hound that she brought with her when she came. Madie had both Ellie and a ball in her hands, tossing the ball playing fetch with the giddy hound.Dario was glad that the hound brought happiness to her.Trees surrounded the safe house; the only water source was the fountain where the Finnish Hound was drinking from. It was cozy, and the weather was warm. They were far from the city, far from danger. The fresh breeze and the shade from the trees made it cool even with the sun's heat. The sunshine was defeated by the rays of smile that Madie gave them whenever she would wave over.It wasn't easy maintaining the good ambiance of the place. Madie repeatedly a
