Martina shook to reality where she lay. She had a nightmare and that was the reason behind her reaction. She clasped her eyes for seconds before opening them. Everywhere was so dark as though her eyes were still closed. She ran her fingers over her eyes to make sure nothing was blocking her vision. She looked again and it was the same thing… Darkness. “What is going on?” She asked herself as she began to fidget. She turned her head to see if she could spot the penetration of light or sun rays from where she was but she didn’t see anything. It was total darkness. She sat up in terror and held her head in her hands. She hit her head with her hand and also pinched her thighs to be sure everything happening was real. After doing these, she confirmed it was real and she began to scream. “Help me! Where am I? I can’t see a thing! Help me, somebody!” She screamed at the top of her voice hoping somebody would come and save her before she goes crazy. She held her head in her hand again
“What? Roberto! What are you doing! You promised to let her go!” Martina yelled as the men grabbed her and Caterina. She felt so stupid having believed that Roberto was going to let Caterina go after signing that contract.“I told you not to do it, Martina!” Caterina cried as they carried them away from the living room.Roberto walked down the hallway with an evil grin registered on his face. Vincenzo walked behind him and kept his head low.“Mr. Roberto, what are you going to do about Caterina?” He asked and Roberto looked over his shoulders at Vincenzo making him gulp in fright.“What do you mean by that?” Roberto questioned and looked up again. Vincenzo let out a sigh of relief before continuing.“You promised you’d let her go if Martina signed the contract, but you just ordered them to lock her up with Martina,” Vincenzo uttered and he saw Roberto stop abruptly. He staggered backward in terror knowing he had done it again, he had gotten on Roberto’s nerves.Roberto turned and look
Roberto was set to go, he was dressed in a blue Dolce & Gabbana Tuxedo with its fixed but not tight trousers. It was the perfect match. He wore a white inner shirt and a Glossy Derby shoe. He checked himself out and what he loved the most was his Brunette hair. He was loving the pompadour haircut. His short boxed beard was the perfect fit for his haircut. His lips curved slowly into an enigmatic smile before he stepped away from the mirror. He walked out of the room with his hands buried in his pocket. Vincenzo was seated in the living room for him. As soon as he got to the living room, Vincenzo stood up and gave a slight bow. He was ready to go. “The helicopters are waiting,” Vincenzo uttered and I gave him a nod. “Greta?” he asked coldly. “She is in the car already.” Vincenzo retorted. “And the others? Where are they?” he asked and Vincenzo creased his brows. Roberto never mentioned anything about them to him. “They are still locked up in the room, you never
They got to the meeting site, the helicopters landed on an heliport not so far from the sea. Roberto strutted to the sea and his escorts followed him. He was three minutes earlier than the time he had given Lorenzo. Roberto climbed up his feedermax ship and sat on a chair one of his escorts had placed on the deck. He sat impatiently and checked his multimillion-dollar wristwatch. It was 12:04 pm. Lorenzo was 4 minutes late. Still trying to keep calm, he sighted almost seven cars driving to where they were. “Bring Greta immediately.” Roberto ordered the man that stood next to him. His escort gave him a bow and walked to where they had parked the helicopters. Roberto looked at that direction and saw Martina causing trouble with the men he had assigned to watch her and her sister. “What is she up to this time?” Roberto asked himself. Vincenzo lowered himself and whispered into Roberto’s ears. “Martina said she wouldn’t stop causing troubles until they are fed. She said her
Roberto landed in his villa many hours after he left Berlin. He was pretty tired, so he lay on the bed in his room to rest. Vincenzo walked to Roberto’s door and stopped right in front of it. He placed his ear against the door to check if Roberto was busy or not. He heard nothing from inside the door so he spoke up… “Mr. Roberto, I am here to inform you that we have gotten the rest of the money. The boys just sent me a message.” Robert had sent another set of skilled men to hijack the rest of the money that was with Lorenzo. He wasn’t going to collect seventy percent and just go after waiting for ten years. He wanted a hundred percent! These men he sent had double-crossed Lorenzo’s men when they were rushing him to the hospital, they killed some of Lorenzo’s men but kept Greta out of it. She wasn’t touched. That fought back and some of Roberto’s men were also injured. Roberto opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling after hearing what Vincenzo had said. An evil grin appeared on
Vincenzo walked into the room Martina and Caterina was locked. He found them still seated where they had left them. “You should clean up.”Martina arched her brows and shot him a glowering look. Who does he think he is? “It’s my body, I choose whatever I want to do with it.” Vincenzo heaved a sigh and shook his head. He was so tired of her stubbornness. “You don’t choose whatever you want with your body when you have signed a contract with Roberto, he owns your body.” Martina went absent immediately. Her mind wandered off to the papers Alberto had given her which included the women he had been with, and how he f**ked them without mercy. Words found their way into Martina’s mouth as she spat them out. “Why do you want me to clean up?” She prayed inside of her that it wasn't what she was thinking. “You will get to know, but I need you to clean up right now. All you need is right there in the bathroom, some lady's clothes are in the closet but I don’t think you have
Vincenzo’s heart pounded against his chest after hearing Roberto’s order. Does he still want to sleep with her? Or is he just worried? “Yes, boss.” Vincenzo answered in an undertone. He walked briskly away from Roberto’s door and back to the room Martina and her sister were in. He flung the door open and walked into the room. “I think you’re finished.” Martina looked at Vincenzo in terror, she was startled by his entry. “What do you mean we’re finished?” “We are not finished, you’re finished.” “What is going on? Why are you saying these?” “He asked me to get you two a doctor. I don’t know why he asked me to get one, maybe he is concerned, or he still wants to sleep with you, I don’t know.” Martina began to fidget, she didn’t know what to do anymore. “What are we going to do now? The doctor would tell him I’m doing alright.” “I don’t know! Let me think!” Vincenzo smacked. Martina looked at Caterina who was lying weak on the bed. “The Doctor would know she
THE NEXT DAY Martina slept next to Caterina on the bed, she slept pretty late because she couldn’t stop thinking about what Roberto had said the previous night. They fed and the doctor gave Caterina some pills to make her feel better. Caterina opened and stared at the ceiling for minutes before looking beside her. She saw Martina laying next to her. She was fast asleep. “Martina.” Caterina caressed her face still laying the way she was. “Martina,” She further called and Martina tightened her eyes. She opened them and looked at Caterina. She sprang up and stared at Caterina in fear and worry. “Are you alright? Are you hungry? Should I get you water?” Caterina giggled as she saw her sister’s reaction. “I am fine Martina.” Caterina smiled and Martina exhaled loudly, she fell back to the bed and shut her eyes. “I should have been watching over you, I was so tired and I fell asleep.” “Martina you needed rest too, don’t be hard on yourself that you slept. We both neede
After two weeks Adelina called Martina and told her to start packing her luggage. She told her Roberto, who was already out of prison, had asked her to tell her, and he was headed to her house. Martina wondered why Adelina had asked her to pack up, but she didn’t question her. She got to work immediately. As she was packing her bag, she heard the doorbell ring. She dropped the dress that was in his hand and rushed to get to the door. She opened the door and saw Roberto standing in front of the door. He wore a black suit, inner shirt, and pants. He has sunglasses on, and he smiled widely. Martina flung her hands around his neck, and he lifted her and rolled her in the air. “I missed you so much!” She giggled, and he let out a little laugh. “I missed you too.” He put her down and covered her lips with his. They broke the kiss shortly, and he kissed her nose, making her chuckle. “I believe my mother delivered my message.” He said, and Martina nodded. “Yes, she did. I’m packing already
The Next day Martina walked into her house after Caterina opened the door. She had left the police station to clean up before she returned. Adelina was busy trying to look for ways to get her son out of the custody of the police. Caterina had a huge frown on her face, and she wasn’t ready to talk to Martina. Not after what she had done. Martina looked around her living room and let out a loud sigh. “I missed this place so much,” She muttered, dropping the bag she carried on the couch. “Of course you did. That is why you stayed with him, like forever,” Caterina responded and sat on the couch. “C’mon, Caterina. Don’t give me that attitude. I’m back now, okay?” Martina approached her and sat next to her on the couch. “You are back because Alberto didn’t wait for your stupid plan! I see no reason why he wanted you out of Roberto’s custody at all cost after you showed him you didn’t want your freedom.” Caterina folded her hand and threw her head to the other side. “It isn’t what you thi
Martina and Roberto walked out of the ship and headed to the car. On the body of the car were holes made by the bullets that hit it. Roberto’s eyes widened when he remembered he had kept Adelina in the car and didn’t leave anyone to check up on her. As they approached, he stared into the car from the windscreen and didn’t see her at all. ‘Was she shot? Did they get to her too? Did she escape? How the f**k did I forget about her?’ Roberto reminisced. He pulled Martina with him as he hurried to the car. He headed for the back door and opened it. He saw Adelina laying on the seat, her eyes were closed, and she seemed to be asleep. “Adelina,” He called, and she slowly moved her head. “God, you are something else,” Roberto shook his head. He wondered how a person would be so comfortable, to the extent of sleeping, in such a situation. Adelina slowly opened her sleepy eyes and looked at Roberto. “What? I didn’t sleep well last night, okay? I was busy putting your money together.” She pout
Roberto overtook Vincenzo’s car and began to lead the way. He watched the infotainment in the car he drove and kept following behind the van. He didn’t get too close because he didn’t want them to notice him, nor was he too far so that he wouldn’t give them too much time to do something crazy to Martina. Roberto furrowed his brows when he saw them head to the nearest sea. “Where the f**k are they taking her? Why are they heading to the sea?” Roberto mumbled as he kept driving. “They are heading to the seaport boss. We need to attack as soon as possible or we would lose them,” Vincenzo said after connecting to the infotainment in Roberto’s car. “I’m very aware, okay? Once the vehicles stop, we rush them. We start attacking, we must make sure nothing happens to Martina.” Roberto informed Vincenzo before disconnecting the call. Soon the vehicle that kidnapped Martina stopped at the seaport. They hurried down the vehicle as they sighted the ship they were expecting approach them. One of
Adelina kept her hands in the air, instructing her men to stay low. “We can’t let him take you away!” One of her closest men said, keeping his gun up. “He is my son! You shoot him, you die!” She yelled in response, and he slowly lowered his gun. Roberto pulled her by the hand out of the compound and when they got outside, he found out that his Mercedes Benz was nowhere to be found. It was this car that Bruno drove. “Martina!” He called in fear and anger, but he got no response. “What did you do?!” He smacked, looking at Adelina. “I’m your mother, Roberto! I didn’t do anything to your Martina! And why did you leave her out here alone? You are in the Mafia, you can’t be careless.” “Oh please, shut up! She wasn’t here alone. My men were with her!” Roberto spat angrily. “Then they are not competent enough. It’s that simple,” Adelina responded. Roberto looked at her and clenched his jaw in rage. He looked at one of his men and called him closer by waving his head. “Get her into the car.
“You are not my mother! I don’t want to hear any more filthy words from that mouth of yours! Give me my money, and I’ll be on my way! I have better things to do!” Roberto yelled at Adelina, his hands were shaking, and he tried forcing back the tears that threatened to roll out of his eyes. “Roberto, if you want your money, I have your money ready. I just want you to know the truth before you leave.” She walked back to her desk and opened her drawer. Roberto kept his gun pointed to her, Incase she wanted to act funny. Adelina pulled out an album from the drawer and stretched it to Roberto. “After looking at this pictures, you will be able to decide if you still want to kill me or know the true story about your biological mother.” Roberto narrowed his gaze at her, and then at the album. He wasn’t sure what he wanted, but he sure didn’t want to let this opportunity go. He needed to know the whole truth. “Drop it on the table,” He waved his gun, pointing at the table. She bobbed and plac
“You are not going to talk to me? What do you want me to do, Vincenzo?” Martina asked after she stepped out of the car and approached Vincenzo. Vincenzo heaved a loud sigh and turned to look at her, while Bruno stared at them, looking very confused and lost. “Martina, I don’t want you to do anything apart from staying away from this house and sitting peacefully in the car. This is a dangerous place, and you shouldn’t be out here,” He said, and she rolled her eyes. “I am very aware this is a dangerous place, you don’t have to remind me, Vincenzo. I stepped out of the car because I believe we both need to talk,” She said, and Vincenzo looked at Bruno, he saw he was lost staring at the both of them. “Hey… I thought you said you wanted to pee. What are you still waiting for?” Vincenzo asked, widening his eyes as he looked at Bruno. “Oh… true! I almost forgot. I’ll pee now and come back as soon as possible,” Bruno responded and briskly walked away. Vincenzo exhaled and turned to look at M
As Roberto got into the compound. All the armed men that were in the compound, on the top floor of the house, corked their guns and pointed them at him. In front of him sat a woman, she looked like she was in her late fifties. She sat on a chair, she wore a long white garment, and she crossed her legs. She raised her hand, and they all lowered their guns. Roberto wasn’t shaken by the guns they pointed at him, all he thought was how a woman could steal that huge amount of money from his Father, and he wasn’t aware until now. He got to where she sat, and he saw she wore a bright smile. “Roberto Galante! Welcome.” She uttered, standing up. “I don’t think greeting me this way would save you from my hands. Let’s have a chat, shall we?” Roberto sounded angry and determined as he spoke. He wanted to know everything. Who she was, how she got access to his Father’s money, how she could stay hidden for years. “Sure. I’d love to have a chat with you too. Alone.” Greco looked at Adelina from be
As they drove down to Adelina Marchetti’s house, there was an awkward silence in the car. Roberto was thinking about how to deal with this woman that had stolen so much money from his father, while Martina couldn’t stop thinking about her chat with Vincenzo the previous night. “Boss, we are five minutes away from her house now,” Bruno uttered, looking at the back seat through the interior mirror. Roberto raised his head and looked at him, he gave a nod. “Okay. Tell the other to be on alert. She could be aware we are on our way already. We can’t be stupid,” He responded, and Bruno gave a nod. He proceeded to talk to the others, using the microphone attached to his shirt. Roberto looked at Martina and noticed she had been staring out of the window speechlessly for so many minutes. She had a sad face and was lost in thoughts. He moved his head to her leg and touched it slightly. She jolted out of her thoughts and turned her head to look at him. He let out a slight smile and said, “What i
