Abruptly, Gill explained timidly, "Jim... It's not... It's not like what you see."

Jocelyn turned her head to Jim and asked in shock, "Jim, you know her?"

Lexie took Jocelyn's arm and turned to Jim. The sorrow and tears in her eyes were gone.

She snapped in a calm voice as if nothing had happened, "They're both Jim's ex-girlfriends!"

Jocelyn's eyes widened, "Really?"

Jim stared at Lexie with concern and called out, "Lexie!"

Immediately, however, Lexy's eyes widened in surprise and she walked quickly toward Jim. "Jim, what’s up?"

Immediately, it dawned on Jocelyn that the two women were both Jim's ex-girlfriends. She had underestimated Jim before.

Jim didn't expect Lexy to think he was calling her when he called Lexie.

His face clouded over. "I’m not calling you. Get the hell away from me, Lexy!"
