Chapter 101

Roland returned to the house and a few minutes later, a knock came on the door. A frown appeared on his lips and he stood from the couch where he sat.

He walked to the door and opened it. He rolled his eyes when he saw Elizabeth.

“What are you doing here?” He asked with annoyance in his voice. “You left a few hours ago, why are you back here?”

Elizabeth chuckled and shoved him out of her way. She entered the house and went to sit on the couch like she owned it.

“Beth, I don't like this,” Roland complained as he closed the door. “Emma must have realized that her kids had disappeared, and I don't want anyone to lead her here. I am not ready yet to face her,”

Elizabeth yawned like his words were boring.

“Yeah... I understand you,”

“So, can you explain why you purchased a gun? Are you trying to kill her or what?” Elizabeth asked with an amused smile on her lips.

“I have to find a way to scare her into submission. It's obvious that she's going to see me as her enemy once she comes here, so
