Gia read the message on her phone. Vero informed her that she would be busy today, handling four deliveries. Finally, it made sense why Aria had come alone.

Gia was late in reading the message. Earlier, she had wondered about Vero’s absence. She wanted to ask Aria about it, but since Aria arrived, she had been busy joking with Al and Frey, leaving no room for Gia to ask.

Gia opened the fridge and took out apple juice and water for Aria.

“I don’t need water! I need something super sweet—chocolate ice cream! Bring it all out,” Aria firmly protested, waving her hand in refusal.

“What’s going on?” Gia asked. This was the first time she had seen Aria ask for ice cream. Usually, she avoided sugar to maintain her weight.

Gia turned around and opened the freezer. Luckily, a tub of chocolate ice cream remained, a remnant of her dessert-making experiment.
