004. Alpha Riley's Proposal

VIVIANA.....

"It must be very hard for you to work in this condition. How many months?" One of the ladies VIP customers asked me, staring at my huge belly.

I flashed a smile at her then responded meekly. "Five months." She gasped, covering her mouth with her slender fingers.

"Only five months and you have such a huge belly!" She exclaimed in shock. Then smiled at me.

"Then it must be twins." She cheered happily and I smiled again. She was one of my favorite customers. She always behaves nicely with the staff. She never showed off her money here when she was filthy rich. Princess of the Lau family, Crystal Lau.

"What if it's a triplets!" Janice squealed and I laughed. They seemed more excited than me.

"Just pray that they stay healthy and come out of this world safely." I said.

"Of course. I will be their Godmother." Crystal grinned and I smiled at her words. She had already made up her mind that it would be more than one.

After a month of bartending at the Venus Club, an exclusive members only society for the world's rich and powerful people, my life was going smoothly here in Hong Kong. It's my Mom's Motherland.

It's been one month and two weeks since I was in Hong Kong. No one knows where I was. I didn't even contact my family. If they know my location then Ezra will use his Alpha power to get the information from them. So it's better I don't contact them for some more time.

"Hey, Riley! Where have you been these days, man?" Crystal's enthusiastic voice boomed in my ear making my heart skip a beat. Every time I came across him, I felt strange under his dark gaze. His very name was enough to send a chill down my spine.

I Straightened my shoulders, pasted on my best customer service smile, and turned. The manager of the Venus Club always says that I have the best smile he has ever seen in his life and he needs it to impress his customers.

I looked up and our gaze met. There he was Alpha Riley Wang. Alpha of the Black Shadow Pack and the CEO of the world's largest luxury conglomerate.

He was tall with dark hair, Olive skin, chiseled jaw, and bearded Alpha. He has brown eyes. His body was covered in tattoos. It's not that I had seen him naked, it's just that his arms were covered in tattoos and I could see his chest tattoos poking out through his shirt.

He was looking handsome as always. I had met him three weeks ago when I saved his grandma using traditional Chinese acupuncture when she had a minor stroke near the road.

Then he came to meet me personally to express his gratitude towards me. He even offered me some money but I didn't take it. I didn't save her because of money and I wasn't any professional doctor even though I was the heir of the Jiang family.

He walked forward and I stepped aside, giving him a place to take his seat beside his friends. "Good evening, Alpha Riley." I bowed my head before him as he walked past me. He just gave me a nod.

Janice and Crystal were his friends but Crystal was closest to him. "Yeah, you know, busy with company matters and pack matters. I hardly get time to sleep."

I couldn't help but melt a little at the sound of his voice. Deep, smooth and velvety, wrapped in a British accent. I wondered how his British accent was so much better.

Alpha Riley didn't look up at me and instead gave me his order, "One Scotch, neat."

"Sure, Alpha Riley." Bowing my head I stormed out from there.

When I went back with his drink I found him sitting there alone scrolling his phone. "Your drink, Alpha." I placed the glass on a napkin. And he took it without glancing at me. Something was odd with him. He always looked at me when he picked up his drink but he was completely avoiding me tonight.

"Enjoy your drink." Saying that I turned to leave but his deep deadly voice stopped me.

"Did I ask you to leave?" I halted on my steps and turned to look at him.

"Pardon my impudence, my Alpha. I was leaving because I had to attend to other customers." I spoke meekly. But I could feel ants biting my legs in nervousness.

"Yeah, I can see the gentleman at the other end of the bar is trying to get your attention." I snapped back where he was looking and indeed a customer was calling out for me. He was another club member waiting for service.

"Can I go, Alpha?" I asked for his permission and he nodded softly. But after work, meet me here. I have some important things to discuss with you." My heart sank in dread. What does he want from me?

"Okay, Alpha." Saying that I hurried over to the other customer who was calling for me. I don't understand when there were so many other staff available in the bar, why did they only want me to serve them?

"Because you are beautiful. While you give your service to them they worship your beauty with their eyes. They didn't fuck you till now because it's the owners rules that no one can harass his staff members." My wolf Eva pointed out and she was right.

After my shift I went to meet Alpha Riley. And he asked me to sit across from him. "Look, Viviana. You are five months pregnant. It's not safe for you to work in such an environment at this crucial time." I was keenly listening to him but I couldn't understand what he wanted to say.

"Let's not beat around the bush and come straight to the point." My heart stopped beating for a while finding me in such a tense situation.

"Will you be my Luna?" I felt like I was struck by lightning when his words fell in my ears.

"WHAT!" I exclaimed.

"You know, I'm thirty-five and I haven't found my destined Mate yet....."

"There are so many girls out there who will be lining up to become your Luna. Then why me? I'm carrying someone else's child, and I'm rejected." I pointed out and he leaned on the sofa behind him and sighed calmly. He looked into my eyes.

"Yes, you are right. There are lots of girls dying to become my Luna." He paused and the tiny moment felt like eternity to me.

"But I don't want them. I want you. Only you." I stared at him blankly in utter disbelief.

"Because....."

"I love you." My heart stopped and I felt the world around me stop spinning. I couldn't believe my ear.

"I will wait for your answer. I know you think you can handle everything on your own. And I believe in you too. But think about the children you are carrying. Don't you wanna give them a better future? At least for the sake of your child consider my proposal." Saying that he walked away from there leaving me in such a situation that I couldn't think of any better idea for myself.

One week passed like that and I still didn't give any response. He will stop by the club every night hoping I will let him know my answer but I was still confused. I went to see the doctor and the doctor told me I was carrying quadruplets babies. I couldn't just keep him waiting, so I went to talk to him.

"Greetings, Alpha Riley." I greeted him meekly and he asked me to sit.

"I know, I have kept you waiting for a long time. It wasn't an easy decision for me. I want you to know something." I bit my bottom lip in nervousness. My hand was clutching my other hand.

"I'm carrying quadruplets babies." My voice was so low that I doubt he heard me.

"Congratulations." I looked up at him surprised and I was more surprised when I saw him smiling.

"So what's your decision?" He asked me, getting serious again.

"Look, Alpha Riley, you know I have loved my Mate all my life. Loving you…..”

“You don't have to love me. Just don't stop me from loving you. I will never touch you without your consent. I hope holding hands, small kisses in front of others will upset you. I don't know what love is for you. But for me, love is the most pure thing in the world. Sex is not love. It's just a desire. Love is about being with a person who makes you happy in a way nobody else can. You know when I first saw you, I felt the connection between us. I felt she's the one for me. Even though we weren't destined Mates. I want to become the father of your children, Vivi. Give me a chance.” I looked into his eyes and I saw sincerity in his eyes.

One day I was sitting near the fountain in the park thinking about my dilemma when one old lady came to me and said, if you have to choose between the man you love and the man who loves you then choose the man who loves you. I have experience, dear. I loved a guy and I thought we would live the rest of our life together happily but I was wrong. Our relationship didn't work. He cheated on me. Then I chose the man who loved me and he was with me till his last breath. Let me give you a life lesson. When the Woman loves the most in a relationship it doesn't work. The relationship lasts long and forever when the Man loves the most.

That day I decided I have loved Ezra all my life but in the end he left me for someone else. I never felt the feeling of being loved ever in my life. Maybe, Moon Goddess sent him in my life as a gift. If he truly loves me then what's wrong to give him a chance. Though I was afraid to be hurt again, I still managed to make the hard decision of my life.

“Will you be my Swan?” He held out his hand before me, asking for my hand. His words melted my heart. Because Swans only have one partner in their entire life. If their partners die, they could in fact die of heartbreak. Alpha Riley was asking me a life long promise that we will be together till death do us apart.

“I do.” I said with a small smile and placed my hand on his. A gasp left my mouth when he slipped a diamond ring on my finger.

“I have been carrying it with me since the day I proposed to you. Finally, it is where it belongs.” saying that he took my hand near his lips and kissed the ring. I thought he would kiss my hand but he was the man of his words.

“Will your Grandma accept a woman who is pregnant with someone else's child?” I asked him and he smiled.

“I have already told Grandma that you are carrying my child.” A gasp left my mouth and I covered my mouth in shock. How can he lie to his Grandmother like that?

“Don't worry, she's really fond of you. She wants me to take you home as soon as possible. Let me take care of the mother of my child. I will pamper you so much and fill your life with happiness that you will forget every bitter memory of your life.” Holding my hand he took me out of the Club.
