EVER LOVING

                                         CHAPTER IV

                                       EVER LOVING

Denise' Pov.

“The shameless cheater is here again. Makes me think why you returned. You should've at least give yourself time to heal” Angelina said, rubbing her hand over her abdomen.  She made the way so I could walk in.

The house interior decor has changed. There was no smell of me anymore. Just her and Colin.

Their wedding portrait plastered on the wall. Although it was a very beautiful work of art. It looks so expensive

She looks pregnant already. I see.

“Coming from a whore. I expect a thief not to see herself as a thief but project who she is on the other”. I didn’t even scrutinise my words, never minding I was in her jurisdiction.

Everything in this house was partly contributed by me–my soft p**n act.

“You got some nerves, ” she gritted her teeth.

“I'm here to pick my belongings if you don't mind showing me the way that leads to my closet.” I instructed.

“Hahaha!”  She laughed.

“No piece of you can be found here garbage. Take a stroll to the servant lounge and ask for a cheap one there, hopefully you may have some. That's if they are not rags already ” she smirked.

“What! My clothes are expensive, how dare you put them out without my consent.  I might sue you, you know? I scolded.

“With whose money? Or maybe the one you stole from my husband, your Ex-husband or just maybe your soft p**n money” she muffled.

My hands swivelled across her face but something held it from behind.

“You don't have any right to hit my wife.” Colin said.

Angelina didn't hold back. As her hand landed on my face.

Never had something like that hit my face. It was strong as if a metal hit my teeth.

“That for trying to slap me in my own house” she declared.

It was two against one already….

“Security get this young woman off my property now” Colin called for his security, they all marched towards me, trying to bundle me out. They were so big and able-bodied. With gadgets place around their ears.

“Please get her luggage out for her to go home with. I don’t want anyone making trouble. We are having a guest for Business dinner” I don't want to see her shadows,” Angelina instructed.

“Yes sir” they replied.  In a split second, a car began honking,  the gateman got to the gate and  the brand new, latest Lexus IS 500 drove in. That seems to look like Gregory Richards' convoy. I assumed.

“Please be fast with her, don't let our visitors understand the situation here” She muttered softly…

I refused to walk along with the security. Even though they were forcing me to walk.

Legs began to match the ground from the car. The shoes screamed luxury.

My refusal to keep moving angered Colin cause the cars were fast approaching to our side. He raised his hand to hit my face but he was surprised his hand never came down as quickly.

“Don't you dare hit my wife. Get your hands off her” he commanded the security. “How dare you rough handle my wife in such a manner?”. Colin eyebrows raised.

“Your wife” Colin and Angelina echoed simultaneously.

The security guards left me at onces. Smile played on my lips. Gregory Richards' jaw tensed followed by his lips. He clenched his fist.

“What in the world are you doing with this left over, a cheater and a non-wife material. You really have a wrong choice Mr Mountbatten” She inclined.  Not knowing who truly was.

The imposter Mountbatten, in the real person of Gregory Richards, chuckled.

“I am Gregory Richards, the investor you hosted for a family business dinner. Lest I forget, Denise is my wife and not a leftover.” The atmosphere was choking with everyone standing.

“What..!” Angelina blinked.. “I'm sorry for..f…or” She stuttered.

Colin looked surprised, it seems they weren't expecting him to be the investor invited…

Gregory hands placed over my shoulders.

Since there is already a miss up somewhere Angelina was so shocked. Her expression seemed like she had a lot of questions to ask Colin.

I had so much joy in me. I smiled at Angelina and she ran her eyes all over me.

She never knew they knew each other. Colin neither didn't know whom he was expecting really well.

“Are you going to take us in for the Business dinner now or you would send us away” Gregory asked cockingly.

They ushered us in… Colin was really in need of someone to help his business, to attain that height he really wanted. Greg held my hands and we all walked in.

Gregory's Pov

Denise mouth parted to speak. I know she has a lot of things to say. Her questions will be ‘why did you bring me here?”

She stuttered “why are we here? I had told you I'm not set for all these. I needed time to heal perfectly. I don't want to be a burden.” she scolded.

For all her life she has been caught off guard as regards to the several events playing in her already-She wasn't ready for more.

“Look, I know your fears. And I give you my word. You and me forever. I believe this marriage will work out. Because we were perfectly made for each other”. I reassured her by caressing her cheeks.

“You wouldn't give up, would you?” She smirked. I smiled back.

I held her hands and rushed into the Marriage Licence, 201 E. Clark Avenue, Las Vegas. At exactly 5pm.

Her white dress flared in the air as we ran towards the building. Holding my buttons so tight so as to appear like a gentleman whose suit was not tarred or roughed by the wind. Her blonde hair flying and bouncing on her shoulders.

“But I don't know your family very well. Is this going to be  approved by them?”. Her voice is full of fear and uncertainty.

At the very point of her life, Denise has been quite negative. I won't ever get tired of reassuring her. I must reset her brain, heart and mind with positivity.

The office was still for me; I had contacted them earlier enough that I might show up within the week with my forever. Oh yes! Indeed, we both made it.

“You appeared just late. The marriage is cancelled. The registrar called in sick”. A light skin lady declares.

“Late? How. I have waited so long for this day to come and I made enquiries before coming..please do something to help”. I wasn't having it anymore. I've hated disappointment in my life.

This should be the least I expect on my day to journey forever (marriage).

“Let's move somewhere else Greg, this can't be the only place to take our wedding vows right?”.  Indeed it's not.

“But…it only takes two people to agree to marry each other and no third party is needed for it to be legal. Let's do it–just the two of us and her as a witness” I suggested.

The sound of someone clearing throats distracted us as  we were at the start of joining ourselves.

“Come up here, silly boy,” my aunty said jokingly.  Our eyes focused on her. With smiles, joy and laughter playing on our faces.

My aunty began reading the marriage vows, tears welled up in my ears. What a moment for me. Denise endeavoured to clean my tears. The registrar gave us the ground to make a vow to each other.

“Once have I let you go, never will I let you leave my sight again”.  I slide the rings into her fingers. She did the same to me. Denise was lost for words because everything was happening so fast.

My lips locked up in hers, sucking the nectar off each other. She tasted like strawberries, never wanting to let go..

“Alright Gregory, you can do that at home. Your union is blessed” we all laughed.
