GODFREY'S POV.

“Why would I have to become your partner when I already have mine?” He scoffed. He was the last sentinel I know that didn't hate me.

I forced a smile, turning away. Without a partner, I would never join the army and if I didn't join the army, I would never fulfill my dreams in the palace and I would end up dying a slave.

“Any ideas Draco?” U asked. “Is there anyone you think I should ask?”

“No,” he replied. “Looks like we have reached a dead end or would you talk to the queen about it?”

“No, I don't want her to get too involved in my business, the king might find out about it, don't forget he would be back soon.”

“Then why ask me if you aren't going follow my opinion?” He spat.

“We should talk to Gamma Israel,” I suggested. “Gamma Israel might help us out.*

“Might?” He scoffed. “Then you aren't serious then, you aren't even sure.”

I rolled my eyes in frustration, ignoring Draco, this wolf only knows how to condemn.

“Sir,” I called, walking closer to Gamma Israel w

GODFREY'S POV. He slowly removes his hand from my mouth motioning me to keep quiet. He looked back at the hallway. I turned my eyes in the direction he was looking at. It was Nathan's man. Why did he follow me all the way here? A dagger was also in his hand. The man looked around, some maids passed, and he quickly placed the dagger under his shirt as he walked past them. I let out a sigh of relief as my shoulders slumped, I didn't even realize how tense they were until now.The man slowly walks out, looking around. “It is safe now,” he revealed. “Hey, I was just looking for you,” I said, coming out of the dark. “Thanks a lot for saving me.”“Why do you have a strange man following you about with a dagger, are you in some kind of trouble?” He asked. I swallowed hard, flickering my eyes in another direction. It is better I don't tell anyone about Beta Nathan or I might worsen the situation and put more people in danger. “I have no idea,” I shrugged, turning back to him. “I was l

It has been two days since Joana last said anything about those men that attacked Godfrey was she keeping something from me? Or the guys haven't found anything about those guys?“Come, let's go, it is getting late,” I said calmly turning away. Beta Nathan approached me. My calm face flickered to a stern. What does he want now? “My lady,” he smiled with a bow. “It is really an honor to have you here, you have decorated the palace just to welcome your husband and daughter, how beautiful it is.”“Get to the point,” I snapped. Sometimes I wonder if he was just cunning, annoying or foolish. We both knew that we hated each other's presence but he always makes it look like I am the only one with ha

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   A heart filled with scorn

GEORGINA'S POV.I let out a sigh of frustration as I rolled my eyes, this wasn't really necessary, Beta Nathan insisted that we all wait outside to hear the good news of the princess, Pamela was my daughter, she was the one who was supposed to come to me with good news not me waiting for her. Yes, we have the king, he must have enjoyed himself over there, draining his balls with perfect ease. How pathetic for me to wait for such a man. The king’s carriage rolled into the palace courtyard, its shiny wheels casting a glow to the ground, The horses snorted, their hooves clattering on the stone path. Around the courtyard, people stood quietly, heads lowered, waiting. The carriage slowed down as it neared the steps of the palace. Everyone stayed still, well except me of course, I was hisses every second. Finally, the carriage stopped. The slaves ran to the door gently opening the door of the carriage. The king slowly stepped out, his face brimmed with a bright smile. Joana moved close

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The king's Anger

Author's pov. Alpha Thomas paced back and forth in his office, his face filled with anger and frustration. He stopped suddenly, glaring at Beta Nathan, who stood nervously before him.“How could this happen, Nathan?” Thomas demanded, his voice low but filled with anger. “Mill was our finest warrior, a man that led thousands to battle and always came back victorious, and now he’s dead. I left you in charge while I was away, and this is what happens.”Beta Nathan darted his eyes left and right, struggling to find the right words. “Alpha, I understand your anger,” he began slowly. “We are still investigating. It seems Mill was poisoned, but we don’t know yet who is responsible. We are still searching, but the murderer has covered their tracks well.”Thomas’s eyes narrowed in anger. “Poisoned? And you have found nothing? How could you let this happen under your watch? You were supposed to protect the kingdom while I was gone, Nathan. Instead, one of our own has been killed. You failed.”

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   Almost caught

GODFREY'S POV. At the party, I stood by the door, leaning against the wall. My mind kept going back to the strange sounds I heard coming from a room earlier. I remembered how the queen was peeking into the room. It was not like her to do something like that. She was usually very respectful of others' privacy, at least not my privacy, but even with that, who could have been in there that made her act so differently?I glanced over at the queen. She had returned to her seat without a word, but something about her seemed off. She looked distant, as if she were lost in some deep, dark place within her own thoughts.Curiosity finally got the best of me. I decided to check who was in that room that had caught the queen’s attention. Quietly, I slipped out of the party, careful not to draw any notice. As I moved down the hall, heading toward the room, I heard faint footsteps behind me. Someone was coming. My heart hammered loudly in my chest as the person approached me. I was too scared to

GEORGINA'S POV. I froze, my whole body tensed, as sweat dripped down my forehead. My heart was pounding loudly in my chest, and I could feel my hands trembling. Slowly, I turned around, almost too scared to see who was behind me. Standing there was Godfrey, watching me with a concerned look on his face. "My queen..." he started to say, but I quickly reached up and covered his mouth, silencing him.I couldn’t let him speak or make any noise; I didn't want those to brat in there to know they were being watched. The look in his eyes showed his concern and confusion as we heard the girl's loud moans. I turned back to the room and turned back to him. The last thing I wanted was for him to see what my husband was doing in that room.Without saying a word, I grabbed Godfrey’s arm and began to pull him away, leading him down the hallway. My mind raced with what I had just witnessed, and I felt a mix of anger, disgust, and sadness. I kept my grip tight, not letting him ask questions or loo

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The temptress

GEORGINA'S POV.I walked through the halls, the loud music from the party fading behind me. I didn’t really know why I was looking for the king, but something inside me felt it was necessary. It was as if an invisible force was pulling me, guiding me to find him.My footsteps echoed in the empty corridors, and I glanced around, searching every corner. The king wasn’t anywhere in sight. The more I walked, the more I felt like I had to keep going, as if he was just around the next turn. But each time, I found nothing. The rooms were quiet, the air still, and it felt strange being away from the party, away from all the noise and people. I felt a slight unease, like I was chasing something I couldn’t catch. I turned another corner, hoping he might be there, but again, the space was empty. My heart sank a little, unsure of why I felt this urgency. Where was the king? And why did it feel like I had to find him right now? But no matter how far I searched, he wasn’t there.I made up my mind
