YOO-MI’s POV
I was waiting for Jeonghan in Josh’s room while Yeri went out to buy coffee. As soon as I heard the door open, I immediately turned around and was disappointed to see Yeri enter inside.“Yeri, did you see Jeonghan?” I asked her and she shook her head sadly.Where are you Jeonghan? I glanced at my wristwatch and realized he's been away for two hours already. Suddenly I got worried, thinking that something happened to him, but quickly whisked the dreadful thought and borrowed Yeri’s phone to send him a text message.I waited for five minutes but he didn’t reply. “Yeri, can I call him?” I asked and she nodded with a smile.“Sure.”I dialed his number but his voice mail answered it. Once again, I waited for another couple of minutes and almost dropped the phone when I heard the message tone, however, relief crossed my face when I saw that the text message came from him.Though itJEONGHAN’S POV“Babe, I’ll just grab us some food. What do you want to eat?” I asked Yoo-Mi as she leaned her head on the headboard, my hands holding hers.“I don’t want anything Jeonghan.” She answered softly and I instantly got worried. She hasn’t been eating anything ever since she was brought here to the hospital.“You have to eat, or you’ll get weak.” I convinced her, she seemed indisposed.“Okay, just get anything you want.”I dropped a hurried kiss on her forehead and walked towards the door. “I’ll be right back.”“Jeonghan—“ she called out. “Can you accompany me to Josh’s room? I want to see him.”Josh again. I was very grateful that Josh saved Yoo-Mi, but the fact that she always thinks about him and didn’t want to leave his side makes my heart ripped with jealousy. I hate it! I hate it that she’s
JEONGHAN’S POVI pulled up in front of the Seoul police station and was about to climb down the car when my phone rings again. I had declined all Cheol’s calls because I knew he’s with Yoo-Mi but it was now dad who was calling me.“Dad?” I picked up his call.“Jeonghan where are you?” his voice is dangerously calm but I don’t give a fuck.“Out. If Yoo-Mi called you, tell her we had emergency errands to run in the office.”“What? But I am here in her room right now! Where are you?” he shouted, his voice was hoarse.“I don’t care, dad! Just tell her anything!” I shouted back, frustrated.“Jeonghan!”“Okay fine, I’m here in Seoul police station. I’m going to talk to Brittany.” I heaved a sigh. “Call you later dad. Bye!”“Jeonghan, don’t hang up on me! Jeonghan!”...
JEONGHAN’S POVI stayed inside my car crying my heart out. I let out a deep breath and exhaled heavily letting out the dread, the emotion, the uncertainty, and confusion.I’m numb but on fire. I’m in shock but I’m lucid.Yoo-Mi is mine! She’s mine! She’s mine!I reached for my phone when it went off. I quickly grabbed it from the stand, hating the loud noise it made. I looked at the display and I sighed when I saw it was my mom who was calling me.I cleared my throat and swallowed the lump in my throat before I speak. “What do you want mom?”“Is that how you greet your own mother Jeonghan?” she asked and I felt irritated with her voice. “I’ve been spamming you with texts for over an hour!” she practically yelled through my phone causing me to roll my eyes.“I haven’t been using my phone for the last few hours. What is it that you want this time?” I asked
JEONGHAN’S POV“You what?!” I shouted. My heart is pounding out of my chest as I gripped the cup of tea in my fist and sat down on the chair, my breath is panting out in gasps like I’ve just run twenty laps up and down the block. She flinched. “I’m sorry Jeonghan, I did that because I don’t want that girl for you!”I breathe in and breathe out. I stared at the woman in front of me with burning rage. She was still crying, head bowed down.I pulled out my phone in my pocket and pressed something before putting it back inside. “And you want that criminal for me! Huh, mom?! What kind of mother are you! Why did you order Brittany to kidnap the woman I love!”I stood up and knocked the box of plants in front of her making them crash to the ground. Her face turned pale, her eyes widened. I know how she loved these plants so much but this is the only way I could do to tell her how much I hate her.For
YOO-MI’s POV“What did he say?” I asked Cheol as soon as he got back from answering his phone. I knew it was Jeonghan, I overheard it even though he tried to lower his voice.“He’s…uh--- Jeonghan has something to do..in the office. Yes—he’s in the office right now.“ he stuttered.I can’t help but frown as Cheol tried to lie to me. He’s a bar top notcher lawyer who tends to be investigative, which means that they are quite inquisitive and curious people that often like to spend time alone with their thoughts. Lawyers are smart people who can construct a sentence or paragraph in one seat. That was what I thought but watching Cheol right now makes me want to change my perspective about them.“Get out Cheol,” I said softly.“What? But I—““I said get out! I want to be alone!” I screamed but he stayed still, he looked at me pitifully.“No Y
YOO-MI’s POVI ran towards Josh and flung my arms around his torso, my face on his chest. He’s breathing heavily. He winced as the pain from the wounds struck him back.“You’re still wounded, Josh,”“I’m fine Yoo-Mi, and you’re not,” he said, his voice hoarse. ‘What’s wrong?”He grabbed my hand and I squeezed it with tenderness. “Nothing Josh, I just feel so worried about you.”“Are you sure?”“Yeah,” I answered and smiled at him. “I’m going home now. I will just visit you here some time okay?”“Okay, say hi to Honey for me.” he said and I nodded.“Thank you Josh, Thank you for saving my life. I thought you betrayed me, I thought you were one of Brittany’s accomplices and I’m sorry. I’m sorry if I suspected you as a bad person.” I paused. “I think, I don’t seem to kn
YOO-MI’s POVI don’t know what to do. What would I do for him? How do I help Jeonghan when I don’t even know what was his problem? He’s always been the strong one. The one who doesn’t break. It was me, I was the one who’s always needing him. Could I be what he really needed? Was I the person he really needed this time?“I love you Jeonghan, I love you,” I told him. I just keep repeating it, hoping he came back to me, hoping he knew I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.By the time his breathing slowed and his body was no longer twitching with grief, he sucked a lungful of air and exhaled heavily.“I’m sorry Yoo-Mi, I think you deserve to know what was happening.” He said. “Can you drive?” he asked and I nodded.Josh taught me how to drive when he got his new car from his grandfather. He even helped me to get my driver’s license even though I didn’t ha
YOO-MI’s POVThe last five days have been torture. Pure tortureJeonghan had kept himself busy at the office. Got up early and came home late. He made me quit as his personal assistant to focus on Honey. We never talked about the wedding again and I am so bothered, so worried, and troubled. He doesn’t want us to move into his mansion because he wanted us to get married first, but how? When?Yesterday, I was finally fed up with whatever he was doing so I barged into his office and threw his lunch down in front of him.“Talk to me Jeonghan,” I begged him.“I’m fine Yoo-Mi,” he shook his head, started to open the plastic container. “Just stressed.”“Stressed?” I shot back. “You won’t even look at me, and Honey.”He heaved a heavy breath before I watched him flick his eyes up to mine. “I have a lot going on here. Meetings, major corporate decisions, managing
