Chapter 29

Alexandra came out after she was done with the test. She was asked to wait outside for 10 minutes before the result would be out.

She held her bag to her tummy and didn’t look at Kirklin as she sat on the row of chairs opposite his. She brought out her phone and drafted an email which she addressed and left in her draft.

The 10 minutes wait was the longest she had ever experienced in her life and Kirklin just looked on as calmly as possible but he was boiling on the inside.

The golden moment came and it was a new person who came out to invite her to meet with the doctor as the other one had closed since it was the change of shift period.

This new personnel who didn’t know that she had requested not to do the test due to emotional readiness approached her with a huge smile to invite her inside. This would be the first time Alexandra would wish someone didn’t give her this kind of smile so before the staff could utter anything, she got up immediately and asked to be seen alone as she
