Hello, my dear readers.
Thank you for your continuous support. I appreciate you all. You, my readers, are very important to me, and your opinion matters so much too.
But I just want to express how some of your comments have hurt me lately. I know I owe you daily updates, but I also want to give you the very best I can. I don't want to upload a half-baked chapter. That's why if I feel it's not good enough, I wait until I edit until it gets better. Aside from that, I did mention to you guys that I was having my first marriage ceremony, which was yesterday.
I was so tired and couldn't write. When I woke up to open the app and my messages, imagine how heartbroken I was when I saw that my readers would be so mean about updates despite my earlier communication.
I hope you will be more understanding in the future.
P.s. I'm working on a chapter now. I'll post it soon.
With love.

“Where is my wife?” Ethan tried to sit up, but he felt like his head was being split into two.“Calm down.” A voice reached his ears as he looked around the room. The strong scent of disinfectant was the first to hit him. The sharp pain that was all over his body was the second. He felt like tiny needles were pricking his body. “You're one lucky fucker.” Another voice said.Ethan tried to focus his vision when his eyes settled on Ian, Zane, Alfred, Tom, and Anderson, who surrounded his private hospital bed, and Micheal who was sitting in a corner.“Where is my wife?” His voice came out cracked and it felt rough like he had chewed sandpaper. Everyone was silent. “Ethan-”“Where is she?” He sat up while holding back a groan. Pain shot through him as he realized his chest was wrapped in a band-aid that went around his chest and another around his head. “We pulled you out of a wrecked car that was set ablaze two days ago. You need to-”“What I need, is my wife. Where is she? Why the
The room was pitch dark, the air thick and cold. Rose blinked, her vision blurry, her head pounding as she slowly became aware of her surroundings. Her hands were tied tightly behind her back, the rough rope digging into her skin, biting harder with every slight movement. Her legs were bound to the legs of the chair, keeping her firmly in place.A metallic taste filled her mouth; she had bitten her lip at some point, probably when they dragged her here. Franchesca’s betrayal played on a loop in her mind. How could she have been so naive, trusting her?She looked so innocent and genuine that no matter how many times she thought it through, she couldn’t remember anything that would have made her suspect her. Rage and fear swirled in her chest, but she forced herself to focus. She didn’t know for how long she was out. Her heart clenched as the memory of Ethan’s car being set on fire flashed before her.Franchesca taunted her with it until it was tattooed in her brain. Her husband was d
Fear.A feeling that was slowly becoming a part of her came crashing down like a wave. Rose felt her knees weaken. It was easy to face Franchesca but a man of this build would crash her before she could land a scratch on him. She stumbled backward, her pulse racing, eyes wide as she tried to focus her vision. This was it. This was the moment they’d drag her back, forcing her to sign the papers, and then kill her. But as she looked up, the shadowed figure stepped into a dim light filtering in from the corridor, revealing a familiar face that stopped her cold."E-Ethan?" she gasped, her voice barely above a whisper, the name slipping from her lips like a desperate plea. Her breath hitched as her eyes drank him in. His sharp jawline, full lips, and those unmistakable gray eyes, darkened by worry, but so achingly familiar. Her legs trembled, giving way beneath her as her mind rebelled against what she was seeing. Tears welled in her eyes, hot and unstoppable, spilling down her cheeks. Sh
“Are you sure about this?” Rose turned to Natalie as they stepped into the hallway.“Nope. But I’m bored out of my mind.” Natalie pouted making Rose laugh.“When you’re bored you do something else, not attend a reunion full of snobs,” Rose responded, feeling like it was a terrible idea.“Not when you want someone to fight with, now come!” She grabbed her hand and pulled her into the room where the rest of their old classmates were.Rose sighed but tagged along as they stepped into the room where the party was being held. The door opened, and Rose halted her steps. Among the people sitting was Mason. She hadn’t heard from him since he dropped their partnership. A part of her felt very guilty but she did have a lot going on and a number of death threats, so life had been crazy the previous months on her end too. “Hottie is present too.” Natalie leaned in to whisper“Are reunions nowadays for just anyone to attend?” Monica commented.“I’m suddenly feeling really pissed!” Willow added.R
“Where is she?” Zane’s voice boomed through the halls.“Mr. Harper, you’ll need to calm down—” the nurse at the reception began, but he wasn’t having it—not when he was barely keeping himself together.“Zane?” Kate called as she walked towards the reception.Zane turned for a split second before turning back to the nurse, “Where is Ian?”“He’s in surgery, sir. But I can take you to Miss Natalie-” The nurse began when Kate cut her off,“I can take him there, that’s where I’m going anyway.” She said in a low voice, her tone cracking.Zane turned to give her his full view as his eyes swept over her, his brows creasing in irritation, “Who the fuck are you?”“I’m Katherine, Natalie’s sister,” Kate responded quickly but Zane’s irritation only deepened.“What is her room number?” He asked the nurse, ignoring Kate.Zane was aware of everything they used to do to Natalie, and he hated them. He wanted to teach them a lesson so many times, but he couldn’t because Natalie wouldn’t let him. “Room
Three days later“We are here, sir,” Maxwell said to Zane.It was three days later since the incident at the hospital and Natalie had finally woken up although Ian refused to discharge her no matter how many times she insisted. “Thanks, I’ll take it from here.” He responded as he stepped out of the car. Zane looked over the apartment where Kate and her mother were staying and felt his blood boil. He knew they could not afford such a place. Was that the reason they followed her to the reunion? Because they had run out of money?Grinding his teeth, he walked over to the stairs until he reached the room he was looking for. He rang the bell and Kate opened it. Shock filled her features when she saw it was Zane on the door but she quickly fixed herself.“Zane,” She smiled.Zane didn’t even bother to respond as he brushed past her and stepped into the apartment. He stood in the living room and turned to face Kate. “Where is your mother?” His voice was deep but cold, too.“What do you wan
Natalie stepped onto the hospital roof, feeling the cool breeze graze her cheeks. Her heart was broken and all she wanted to do was to curl in a ball and cry. But she couldn’t, she had less than eleven days to live and she wasn’t going to spend it soaking in tears. “Are you sure about this babe?” Rose’s voice pulled her back. “Positive.” She responded as she stepped forward and stood in front of the women she had chosen. All looked beautiful as she swept her eyes over the women, her gaze landed on one and she froze. It was as if she were looking into a mirror. The young woman stood at the edge of the group, slightly apart, her eyes scanning the rooftop nervously. She had the same blonde hair, the same shade of brown skin, It was uncanny—like a version of herself she’d never met. “Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Rose asked in a shocked tone. “Creepy right? I mean what are the odds? I guess, the heavens have sent me a signal.” She smiled sadly. “Nat,” Rose began but Natalie ste
“No!” Ian snapped, throwing the document back at Zane.Ethan frowned as he reached over to snatch it, his eyes scanning the contents quickly. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me, Zane.” His voice was tight with irritation. “What the hell is this?” He waved the documents in the air.The three had met to discuss the progress of the donor search among other things, but what Ian and Ethan didn’t know was that Zane had signed a document authorizing Ian to take his heart.Ian’s expression darkened. “That’s murder, and hell no, I won’t do it.” His voice was a low growl, his anger simmering just beneath the surface. He loved Zane like a brother and there was no way he would cut through him with a knife to take away his life. “It’s not murder if I’ve consented,” Zane replied calmly, which made Ethan laugh, a cold, humorless sound.“Are you even fucking listening to yourself? Do you think Natalie will ever forgive you for this?” Ethan asked, his voice rising. Both men were furious now.Zane’

Seventeen years later……“Ethan!” Rose’s voice boomed through the house as she clattered down the stairs, her heels clicking furiously. “We’re going to be late! Daisy and Caleb’s graduation starts in twenty minutes, and you know how she is about punctuality!” she yelled as she tried to fix her left earring. Ethan emerged from the kitchen, tying his tie with a smirk. “Relax, baby. I’m ready, and I already have the car waiting.” He pulled her close before giving her a soft kiss on the lips. They were so in love even after so many years it was surreal. “You’ve been more worked up than they have. Caleb probably doesn’t even give a shit.”Rose huffed, brushing a stray hair back into place. As she created some distance so she could think clearly, “Worked up? It’s not every day our surviving triplets graduate college! And you know Daisy will never let me hear the end of it if we’re late. As for your uptight twin, I’ll pull him by the ear if I have to. He will attend.”“Mama Bear is Fesity.
One year later…The sun hung low in the sky, casting a soft, warm glow over the cemetery as Rose, Ethan, Natalie, Zane, and their children made their way to the gravesite. The day was peaceful, with a gentle breeze, as if the world had stilled in respect for the family reunion.Rose held a bouquet of white lilies, her fingers tracing the edges of each petal. Beside her, Ethan wrapped a comforting arm around her shoulders, offering silent support as they stood before the headstones of her parents. Caleb and Daisy held hands, their little faces observing the scene unfold as they watched their mother, while Zane and Natalie held baby Arabel, who gazed curiously at her surroundings. Marie held Riley, Rose, and Ethan’s baby girl who was seven months old. It was Rose’s parent’s memorial but this time she wasn’t alone. She took a deep breath, kneeling down and placing the lilies gently in front of the graves. Her voice was soft as a tear slipped down her cheek. No matter how much time pass
“Zane.. what..” Natalie’s voice trailed as she covered her mouth in shock.Zane smiled as he held her gaze. “Natalie,” he began, his voice full of excitement like he couldn’t wait to wife her and just be alone with her, “I fell for you the first day I laid eyes on you. Your fire and focus were the first to flip my heart. Your beauty was a bonus and Damn, I’m not complaining because my little firecracker is so fucking gorgeous. You showed me there is more to life than just living. You’ve been my strength, my joy, and my reason to keep fighting. Winning your heart has been my biggest flex but I promise you, even if it took me ten years, I would have kept trying and proving myself until you opened up for me. You’d probably fight me, but it’d be worth every broken nose I’d get.”Natalie laughed, her fingers clinging tightly to the bouquet.Zane opened the box, revealing a beautiful ring with a sparkling diamond, Her eyes widened when she realized it was the ring she helped Rose make a m
“You’ve been my rock, my best friend, and my greatest love. You’ve made me a better man, and there’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do to make you as happy as you’ve made me. Today, I vow to stand by you, to protect you, and to cherish you for the rest of my life. I promise to love you more deeply each day, through every joy and every challenge. You, and the beautiful family we’ve created together, are my everything.”A few tears slipped down Rose’s cheeks, and she bit her lip, smiling through the emotion that welled up in her chest. She took a steadying breath as the officiant turned to her, and Ethan’s hands gently held hers, grounding her.“Ethan Sinclair, father of my children and King of heart, ” she began softly, her voice a gentle whisper that grew stronger as she spoke. “When I first met you, You were a pain in my ass.” The guests laughed.“I’ve loved you even before I knew what love was. You hated it, I could see through you but that made me want to heal your broken pieces
The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm, golden glow over the outdoor wedding venue giving it a magical look as rows of white chairs lined the green lawn, decorated with different kinds of flowers except the Roses, the look creating an aisle that looked like a path straight out of a fairytale. At the altar, Ethan stood in a tailored black suit, his expression a mix of excitement and nervousness as he waited for his bride. His hands were clasped tightly together, his breath catching as the music began to play softly, signaling Rose’s arrival.Daisy came first, She looked cute in a beautiful white dress and her hair was made into two cute ponytails, small earrings, and a bracelet made by Rose specifically for her. She had on white socks which had a small lace at the top and white shoes with a small heel. She gave a wide smile as she walked while tossing the peony petals on the white long carpet. The crowd of guests smiled and were all in awe as they watched her little figure walk
Two months later…“This feels weird,” Rose said as Natalie tied the ropes behind her dress.“Why do you feel weird? Because you’re in a wedding dress while pregnant with two kids and another adopted baby?” Natalie teased making Rose laugh.“Very nice way of making me feel so much better!” Rose mocked. Natalie smiled warmly, her hands resting gently on Rose’s shoulders as she turned her around to face the mirror. “Look at you, Rose. You’re absolutely glowing,” she said, her voice emotional, “This little angel is surely doing you justice, I looked like I had swallowed balloons when I was carrying Arabel.”Rose laughed, “You exaggerate too much. You looked stunning, it’s no wonder Zane always lost his mind over you.” Her throat felt dry as the emotions she was trying to hold back came crashing down.It had been two months since Natalie woke up and made a great recovery. Ian was still observing her closely but she was better.Arabel, who was born prematurely at seven months had also reac
“A little scared, but yeah, I’m ready.” He responded with a small smile.Agness nodded as she held the door open for him. He stepped inside, his heart pounding as he approached her bed. Gently, he took her hand in his, feeling the faint warmth of her skin beneath his fingers. He swallowed, a knot forming in his throat. She looked like she was just asleep and not on the verge of death.“Natalie,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “It’s me. I’m here.”Her hand was still, but he held on, willing her to feel his presence. “You’re not alone, baby. I’ll be here every step of the way. I’m not going anywhere. We have a little girl, I heard you named her Arabel. It’s a very beautiful name, and she’s waiting to meet you, and I know she’s going to love you as much as I do.”His voice cracked, and he blinked back the tears threatening to fall. “You have to come back to us. I need you. Arabel needs you. We’re not complete without you.” He lifted her hand to his face as tears ran down his
One week later…“CONGRATULATIONS, IT’S A GIRL!” Agness smiled at Zane as she delivered the news. He had woken up two days after Ian saved him, stabilized four days later, and was now able to stand. “Can I see her?” Zane asked, feeling like his chest was stuffed with emotions. “As soon as you get better and you’re able to walk again, I’ll take you to her. We can’t bring her out yet because she’s premature and has to be observed.” Agness explained kindly.“Congratulations, man. Welcome to fatherhood.” Ethan tapped his shoulder.“Congratulations, Zane.” Rose smiled, but her smile didn’t reach her eyes. Everyone surrounded him including Ilet his mother and Henry.“You’re finally grown, my sweet prince!” Ilet let out a cry making Henry groan because he knew she was about to start being dramatic.“Mum,”“Don’t mum me, young man. You’re in so much trouble! Just wait until you get better. You’re lucky I was too preoccupied with Arabel to hit you.”“Arabel?” Zane asked arching his brow in c
