QUINCY

As soon as I heard the sound of the gun go off, I felt an excruciating pain on my stomach. Did I get shot. I chuckled lightly, it's so clichè.

****EARLIER THAT DAY****

I sat on the couch with Kai in my arms. Today is prom night, I'm not sure if I'll make it. Chris was helping load the briefcases of money into the car trunk.

I may not return home in one piece, I don't know what's gonna happen. I did tell Chris to report to the station that Charles was the person who tried to kill me.

I'll handle Alex myself. "Did you get what I asked for?" I asked. He nods his head. I handed over the baby to Ms Mary. I followed him upstairs towards my room.

I entered, I noticed the box was on the bed, I walked over and opened it. Inside the box was a gun with bullets.

"Are you sure this will go according as planned?" He asked. He's worried, I can see it on his face. He pulled me into a hug.

"I wrote my will -" he cuts me off.

"Don't say that" he said.

"Take care of everything for me" I said.
