Don't You Despise Me?

**Fancy's POV***

Being bedridden was the list I deserve. I laid in bed, feeling sick for the past three days now. I couldn't even raise my gaze up because my eyelids have become too tired for me to do so.

A knock on the door distracted me and I slowly dragged my lazy eyelids to the door but could not speak. The door slowly pushed open, and my dad showed up.

“Fancy, goodness! I have been ringing the doorbell for some minutes now. If I hadn't known the code to your apartment I'm sure I would still be outside by now.” He complained, but I couldn't even bring myself up to apologize for not being able to answer him.

“My love, don't you think it's time for you to get out of bed? Your mom came to me, telling me how you've refused to leave the bed or let go of his picture.”

My dad strode towards me and sat on the chair next to my bed.

“Fancy, I know it's difficult to hold up. Trust me, I'm dying in silence. I wake up each day waiting for him to knock on my door but…” my dad trailed off w
