9. Unveiling secrets

Sofia's POV

I put on the gown and sat down with my legs crossed. I closed my eyes and enchanted some sacred words.

I traveled out of my body into a dark space.

"Lord Andrew! Lord Andrew!! Can you hear me?" I called out.

But there was no response. 

Suddenly, the darkness I felt was replaced with a white bright light which almost blinded my eyes. I quickly bent my head as my eyes tried to adapt to the harsh light.

"How can I help you?" A familiar voice said.

I looked up. The brightness of the light had reduced and I could clearly see the figure which I seek for.

"Lord Andrew" I yelled in excitement. I ran to him and fell at his feet.

"Please stand up." He calmly said and assisted me to my feet. 

"Thank you, my Lord"

"What made you summon me?"

"When you gave me this dress you permitted me to summon you whenever I had something urgent to discuss with you" I reminded him. " I have something urgent to speak with you my Lord"

"Is it about the demon, Corovi?"He asked, as if he had read my mind.

"Exactly my Lord! How did you know that I was about to ask you this?" I raised my eyebrows.

" Because the device which had always blinked since the first minute Corovi entered the planet Earth, has not blinked for some days now" He said with his hands crossed behind.

" Huh? Does it mean he has disappeared from Earth?" I inquired.

" I don't think so. Corovi is not the type of demon that will accept defeat so easily. It has been prophesied that he would try to make Earth his and I don't think he'll just give up so quickly without even putting up a fight. Something is not right here" He furrowed his brow.

" Or could it be that he has turned into a human form?" I thought out loud with my eyes almost bugging out of their sockets.

"What made you think so?'

" This morning, I perceived the peculiar fragrance we use in identifying demons emitting from saphira's body." 

" Huh? The chosen one? Are you sure of this?"

" Yes my Lord! Although the smell was faint but I'm sure it's a demon's fragrance" 

" If what you're saying is true then catastrophe is coming. The demon must not meet the chosen one until she is ready."

" What should I do now my Lord?" 

" You have to tell Saphira who she really is and prepare her for what is to come. This is the only way forward. You must do it before it's too late"

" But.." I tried to say but he cuts me off.

" It's time to go. I have a meeting to attend to"

With that, he violently pushed me and I teleported back to my body.

I abruptly opened my eyes, breathing heavily. 

I laid on the floor to gain some strength because I felt so weak and drained out. It takes much energy to teleport in and out of one's body.

I just pray my suspicion is wrong. Has Saphira already met Jeffrey?

Could it be that he changed into a young human and now attends the same school with her?

No! This shouldn't be happening.

I struggled to get up and pulled off the sacred gown. I folded it neatly and hid it back in it's former position - my locked wardrobe.

I fished out my phone from my bag which was hanging on the wall close to the wardrobe and sluggishly dragged my feet to the bed.

I sat down and quickly dialled the number of the principal of Avocado high School. This is one of the best popular high School in America and this is where my children attends.

"Good morning ma'am" The principal's voice came from the other end.

"Good morning.. I would like to know if any male student was admitted into saphira's class this semester" I blurted out.

" Huh? " She replied, surprised.

" Yeah I know the question sounds strange but I would like to find out for some reasons" 

"I'm sorry ma. But"

She tried to say but I cut her off.

" Why? Are you gonna turn down my request" I said a bit curtly.

She wouldn't dare! My husband is one of the share holders of the school and she knows the consequences of turning me down.

"We admitted many male students this semester. Approximately, they're more than twenty" She said.

Jeez! They are much. How would I know the demon among them? 

"Okay. Thanks for the information" 

"Hold on ma! Why is Saphira not in School today? Hope she's alright?" The principal's voice stopped me from ending the call.

"Huh? Not in school? How's that possible? She left home for school this morning" I said, perplexed.

" But we never saw her. She didn't pass through the school gate even the CCTV has no footage of her appearance today"

" What?"
