ITALY

"Oh No!!! The warehouse is on fire . All the drugs and weapons were there. Shit! We have to do something. " The man shouted frantically scared of what he'll answer his boss.

" Sir we have found something here . It's HIS SYMBOL. This is HIS doing . “

The man sat there bewildered how easily Satan snicked in their territory like air and left them into ashes. They were well aware of his might. The one who could engulf people alive without leaving any trace of their existence. It seemed as if they never walked in this Earth. None knew his loopholes, his weaknesses or his plans. All they knew he was a living nightmare with a cruel smirk and enchanting eyes who hypnotized traitors to accept their fate the way he had written it. The air around him was not calming but destructive which knocked the enemy from head to toe.

Holding the sign the man frantically kept looking around, profoundly sweating, knitting lies to answer his boss because he knew one word of truth would be last word of his life.

Far in the distance, sat Satan in his Mercedes enjoying the whirls of smoke which enamored his Power but chocked his enemy. His gracious smirk adorned his face thinking how his doings would leave the enemy thoughtless , penniless and powerless.

Wearing his shades he ordered his driver , "To Miles , I have to pick my Lily.”

Just the mere thought of her gave strength to his smile to push that dirty smirk of his face. He quickly changed his smoke stained shirt into a new crisp one and threw the spoiled one under his seat cover. His aura took a 180° turn as the car took the last turn and stopped in front of THE MILES . His stern exterior turned soft as he stepped out of the car , eyes fixed on her as she walked out of the academy . As if feeling his gaze , she turned and ...

AND

Smiled. Giving him the most satisfying and warm smile which receded the darkness of his heart. He replicated her smile and she sprinted towards him , hugging him as if he was her world. Whining she said -

"That's not fare Benz . You always arrive so early, I can't even checkout boys. Now I realize you are the reason I am still single. " She kept on bantering but he just smiled seeing her , opening up to him finally again after years.

He attempted to be funny and said," Oh ! That hurt me here", he said placing his hand on his chest as in brutual pain. He continued, " Oh God, why didn't I die before hearing this . My Lily is saying she doesn't like her Benz anymore. I wish the bullet would have pie-“

He didn't get to complete when he saw the thin line of crystals embracing her eyes .

He realized he had crossed the line .He attempted to hug her but she silently sat in the car and then he cursed his poor acting skills for this.

He sat beside her ,no words exchanged between them. He knew his Lily wouldn't agree without her favorite thing , so he planned his apology in the silence.

  • MY APRICITY   CHAPTER 32

L'ARC PARIS The atmosphere of the nightclub was wrapped in muck sweat due to the grinding bodies and whiffs of cigarettes and weed. The ill-lit bouncy lights made the place exciting for youngsters and a harbor for illegal affairs. The shouts and hoots did nothing to erase the molesting memories out of Benjamin's brain. The sparkling liquid swirling in his glass was a perfect illustration of the emotions he was feeling. The morning instances flashed in his brain. He had chosen to jog to empty the burden of encounters but returned with a steel boulder on his shoulders. It was ruffling and perturbing for him. He drowned himself with another set of drinks in an attempt to wash the stains of reverberating voices. He had gone berserk on Carl for driving him to her place and intruding in his personal life. But from inside, he was scared. Scared of saying or doing something that could cause her pain. He desperately wanted but couldn't. So they silently left after a t

  • MY APRICITY   CHAPTER 31

Benjamin entered his condo, still trying to digest the hurt and humiliation he was pelted with, he had expected the accusation but the slap was definitely a bonus. Her fiery eyes encumbering her wrath made him drown in guilt. He wanted to confess the truth but he couldn't because in a life like his, Love was a treacherous lie and she deserved much more than that. He stood under the shower and a tear escaped his eye. How cruel was life to compel him for curbing his feelings? He banged on the wall muttering profanities and retired for sleep, probably in hope of meeting her in his dreams. The following morning was somber for both hearts. One was hurt and the other was blazing. " Come on Rose, what's the harm in meeting for Lunch. It's been ages since we last met." insisted Aaron, who was a great friend of Rose from College. He was an Architect and was currently on a break visiting Paris, so was convincin

SMILES ORPHANAGE Serene squinted her eyes to stop the notorious sun from tickling her. It was a vibrant day with sultry warm breeze merrily dancing. She gazed at the wall clock which struck 8 in the morning. She still had an hour for the breakfast. She lazily rolled and moved towards the washroom for a calming shower. As she winded up and toweled herself dry, she looked up and her eyes turned misty. She generally avoided looking in the mirror and whenever she did, her true self was buried under layers of concealer. None knew her true self except her brother and Mrs.Williams who were introduced to partial truth. Now, when her gaze raked at her raw form, she could see the proof of being ugly and a disgrace. There were faint red marks on her arms and her thighs decorated with whip marks. Her left breast had a large scar running down her stomach, mocking her. It was still fr

SMILES ORPHANAGE The evening was crisp yet somber. The setting sun cast a rosy hue across the evening sky casting shadows on the ground. Rowan felt his heart soaring with delight looking at the familiar walls of the Orphanage decorated with cartoon paintings. The grass had grown greener and the flowers flourished merrily. As he walked past the gates, the nostalgia filled his eyes and throat. Although he was away for a week, he still missed the warmth of this place. The memories tried to rush back but he blocked it, he was too indulged to let sadness and pain sink in. It was almost 7 in the evening and he could hear the wild chatters of delirium from the dining hall. It was dinner time as per the schedule of the orphanage. He decided to freshen up before meeting the kids. The time he opened the door, he could feel his heart rate increasing. It was stagnant, not

Till the time, Benjamin could recover from the shock, she had already left. He felt extreme fury dancing and controlling his mind and body. She had outrageously declined the protection he had offered against the pervert. For once he could understand her anger and glare, but her ignorance irked him.'Was she so piqued that she wanted to go away from his side ?' his insides churned at the thought. He inhaled and exhaled to let calmness wash over. He didn't want to create any scene that could further provoke her. Moments passed by and people went back to enjoy the party. The waiter left quietly adjusting his collar and swiping the sweat beads shoned on his face.He couldn't erase the image of them leaving together. There was an unsettling feeling in his heart that lingered every time he chose to ignore the situation. The way that pervert had gazed and smirked at her was frustrating him and he final

  • MY APRICITY   CHAPTER 27

PARISThe land of food and fashion was surreal. The glistening tall buildings, the notorious fascinations and the tempting fashion stores could easily tingle your heart. The seduction of The City of Lights and Romance was enchantingly wrapped in the blanket of winter breeze. It was a salvation for a wanderlust soul.As Benjamin strolled out of his jet, he took a breath of composure and put on his shades. His Bugatti was readily waiting to take him to his condo. He sat inside so did Carl. It had been almost 3 years since he came to France earlier it used to be strictly for business but this time he thought of taking a small break for at least 3 days. While leaning back in his seat, he realized how robotically he was working for so many years, some lethal missions, disgusting auctions and sometimes even busting trafficking deals. He sighed because of the solitude he felt in his heart and life. The absence of Serene did no wonders
