CHAPTER 70 A Mistake

  "Am I interrupting something?" Jax asked innocently as he looked from Autumn's face to a glaring Perry and back to Autumn's. "I can excuse you if—"

  "It's totally fine, Jax," Autumn replied to him, making Perry's head snap in her direction immediately.

  It was one thing that he was angry at the disturbance already, and now, she told him that it was fine.

  He let out a loud scoff, making both heads look in his direction. Seeing that he had gained the attention of both of them, he turned to face Jax. "How may I help you?"

  "Oh," Jax shook his head gently and replied to him. "I'm here to see Autumn."

  "Why would you be asking to see my secretary at this time of the day when both of you ought to be at your desks working?" He asked Jax with raised eyebrows and folded his arms.

  "She forgot her handkerchief with me yesterday and I came here to return it," Jax simply replied, his voice and face still calm as ever.
