CHAPTER 58 Spare Me the Talk

　　Autumn made sure to wake up very early the next morning, even earlier than she normally wakes.

　　She had planned the night that she'd leave for work before Perry woke up. She didn't want to have any reason to follow him to work so that gossip and rumors wouldn't fly around about them.

　　As she stood up to prepare for work, her mind went to the event from yesternight. When Perry threw the remote control on the television, the remote fell to the ground and shattered, making the batteries in it scatter around the sitting room.

　　 As he passed by her and walked upstairs, she noticed how red his eyes were, coupled with the anger on his face. She knew better than to ask him further about what was wrong.

　　When he was out of sight, she picked up the remote's batteries and fixed them back into the remote control. Then she placed it on a stool and switched off the television before going to bed.
