As she was dragged into the bathroom, Autumn protested, telling whoever it was to let go of her.

"Will you just let go of me already!" She yelled at the person and her clothes were released immediately.

As soon as it was, she was shocked to see that it was Lisa who had dragged her in.

"What the heck was that?! Why did you drag me?!" She snapped at her as she adjusted her gown and her hair, looking in the mirror opposite her.

"We need to talk, Autumn," Lisa said and locked the door from the inside to make sure nobody barged in.

"If you want to talk to me, you have my phone number, you could have called me or texted me. Why the heck did you have to drag me like that?! Do I look like a thief or something?!" Autumn snapped at her, raising her voice, as she was not having any of the drama Lisa caused some minutes back.

"I knew I could have done all that, but it was more fun to drag you," Lisa replied to her and shrugged, making Autumn even more pissed at her.

Autumn arrived at her desk and did her usual early morning routine work by arranging the office and awaiting Perry's arrival. Not quite long after she finished and had retired to her seat, her office door opened and she assumed it was Perry. She had made up her mind that she would act as if nothing happened between them the night before and that morning too to avoid awkwardness. She stood up to greet him, but as she looked at the door, she realized that it was someone else that walked in. The sound of the heels of the female who had just walked in was loud and it got louder as she approached her table. She was chewing a piece of gum, and she wasn't doing it neatly. Autumn rolled her eyes and had her seat, wondering who she was. She couldn't help but notice that the lady was beautiful, though. "Good morning," Autumn greeted her cordially when the lady got to her desk. "Are you here for an appointment?" She asked her. The lady scoffed immediately, a look of shock on her f

Liza stormed out of Autumn's office in anger, slamming the door shut behind her.? Immediately after she left, Autumn brought out her phone and searched for model Liza. Indeed, she was a popular model! "How the heck do I not know her?" She muttered as she scrolled down to read blog posts about her. Then, she remembered that she didn't know who Perry was the first time they met, despite him being the popular golden bachelor of the city. "I guess I'm just not social after all," she muttered. She dropped her phone on the table and headed for Perry's office. Just as she got to his door, her mind went to how Perry had treated her. Her eyes went wide open in shock as she remembered something. "Oh my God!" She exclaimed and opened Perry's door. She rushed to his table after closing the door behind her. "Why did you act like that to her?!" Perry raised his eyebrows at her. "Who?" "Model Liza! Why did you act like that to her?! Why did you say those things to her?!" Autumn glared

Autumn rolled on her bed as she opened her eyes slowly. She yawned before switching on the lights on the wall, next to her bed. She then picked up her phone which had been ringing for some minutes and checked who the caller was, it was Ella. "Why would she even call me by this time?" She muttered as she looked at the wall clock in her room. It was just 6:40 in the morning. She let out a sigh before muttering, "it had better be something important or I'm going to kill her for interrupting my sleep." Then, she picked up the call. "What is it, Ella?" "Oh my God, babe! Have you checked the net this morning?!" Ella exclaimed from the other side of the phone. Autumn, confused about what she was talking about, sighed once again.? "Don't tell me you disturbed my sleep just to tell me that you found something on the net. You know how much I cherish my sleep." "Girrrrrl, it's not just any news!" Ella exclaimed. Jax and Autumn continued to eat their meal in silence before he spoke again. He figured out that his reply from before might have sounded rude to her, so he decided to clear himself. He cleared his throat to gain her attention, and then he said, "even if I was curious to know who his wife is, I don't think you'd know her either, besides, if you do, I believe you'd have signed a nondisclosure agreement with him, not to disclose who his wife is or he'd fire you. And I wouldn't want you to be fired, so what's the point of asking you then?" He cleared himself. Autumn, who had felt offended by his reply initially, smiled at his last reply.? "I'm glad you think in such a manner, It's nice to see someone who understands my situation at the moment, and I wish everyone else would reason just like you have." He chuckled at her reply. "That's impossible, my dear, expect the whole firm to glare at you when you're at work today or try to speak to you or question you about who his wife mig

Perry stood there in shock as he watched the woman before him break down in tears.? He felt uncomfortable as he stood there doing nothing, while she lowered her head and kept on crying. Not sure of what to do, he moved over to her table and picked up the tissue paper on it. Then, he handed it over to her. "Here," he simply said as he cut out a piece of tissue paper and handed it over to her. She stretched out her hand and collected it from him while sniffing.? "Thanks," she muttered. Her eyes were red by now as she wiped her face and nose. Then, she threw the used piece in the refuse bin next to her. "What was that about?" Perry asked her when she stopped crying. She couldn't look up at his eyes, because she was embarrassed to have cried in front of him. Instead, she cleared her throat and replied to try to get the attention off her.? "What the heck, man?!" Khalid asked Perry as he banged the table, making him jerk backward. A look of shock was on his face as he stared at his friend, wondering why he had reacted in that manner. Meanwhile, Perry's face was filled with anger as he stared at the video on his phone. The words couldn't stop replaying in his head, especially when one of the girls said he had sex with her to get the job. That alone fueled his anger, the more he thought of it. The pen he held in his hand snapped, due to how tightly he held it, as his anger was vented on the poor inanimate object. He immediately dropped the pen and called the head of security. "I sent them already, sir! You can—" The man was saying when Perry cut in. "Get me their names and submit them to the manager's office, tell him I gave the order, he should fire them all. Fire them!" He exclaimed. "Yes sir!" The man replied and Perry hung up immediately. "Dude, calm down, man. What was that about?" Khalid said to him

Khalid couldn't believe that Perry made his wife his secretary. "Why?! Rumors will fly around when it eventually gets out that she's your wife!" Perry shrugged. "If she wasn't my wife, there would still be rumors." Then, he stood up and walked over to the refrigerator in his office. "Do you want a drink? Coca-Cola, maybe?" "Yeah." Perry took two cans of the drink and walked back to his seat. He opened the can and offered it to Khalid, which he collected. "Thank you," he muttered. Perry sipped from his bottle and then dropped the can on his table. "So, what's up with you?" "We aren't done with you, man. Why did you make her your secretary? Did she ask you to do it in return for the deal?" Khalid asked him curiously. "I mean, that lady I met doesn't look like someone who'd blackmail someone else. She looked innocent," he added. Perry chuckled. "Yeah, she didn't blackmail me, but she ain't innocent," he chuckled lightly as he said the last part of his sentence. His min

Autumn replied to him, as she looked at him in a 'why are you asking me' manner. Perry cleared his throat and spoke at the top of his voice. "Decorum, please!" His voice resounded in the room and everywhere went silent for a few seconds as they all turned to look in his direction. But unfortunately, the silence did not last. As soon as they noticed Perry's arrival, they all rushed to surround him. This made him even more confused, as he wondered what could be happening. "What's going on?" He asked again. Perry paused for a minute and stared at him like he didn't just hear what he said. He scoffed, wondering if he was aware of what he was talking about. "Can you even hear yourself?" Max smiled. "I know you'd never believe me just by my words, so I made sure to gather my evidence to show you." "What the heck?" Perry stared at him unbelievably, as he felt his heart beating heavily. "Even if what you're saying is true, why are you telling me now?" Max let out a sigh. "You might call it selfishness, but my heart hasn't healed from the hurt she put me through. I know your engagement with her is very close, and I don't want to see her happy after everything she did to me." "And what did she do to you exactly?" "She happened to have arrhythmias, heart valve problems, and high blood pressure in her lung arteries, which led to a heart failure that made her collapse." "Oh my God," Autumn gasped, as she covered her mouth with her hands. Her eyes were teary by now as she stared at the doctor. "Isn't there anything that could be done about it?" She added after a couple of seconds. "Will she survive it? What do I have to do to make her feel better? Will she get better? She won't die now, will she?
