~[CHAPTER TWO]~
"Let me please you"Those words had his eyes staring blankly at my figure, gaze peering at my awaiting form. The silence that had broken between us was enough to mock the power of the air conditioner stood at a corner of the room. The sweat had come gathering around my palms, body agitating, yet I managed to keep my eyes lingering in the ones of the young man away."If your Résumé never works, then your charms must!" I just could hear the voice of Tara bellowing into my head, telling me to snatch this position no matter what it took."Please me in what way?"That calm voice emitted out of nowhere had managed to snap my attention at once."Ways you can't possibly imagine"Fuck! That wasn't as convincing as it should have been. It seemed utterly soulless, if anything."Ways that would have you rejecting the rest of those applicants sat out there, and perhaps put an end to the day's work" I followed in a soft voice."Miss Parker if you must know—"Mr. Holden, give me just one chance to please you" I was sure to cut in.Voice low, eyes held in his, I took in all that came with such majesty of a being relaxed back in that chair. There was something about that one. Something which demanded every of my focus. Perhaps, it could be how his scrutiny kept to my form, beholding every of my movement.I was his own study—His subject to dissect. And as for him, believe me I would make him unfold."I come across a lot of ladies in my daily life, Miss Parker" His voice was low, chin rested on his hands, eyes lingering on me."Yet, have you come across one who would plant a kiss on your lips, and have you ruined in a minute"I heard that low chuckle leave his lips, gaze still held strongly on my form."What was your major in College, Miss Parker?""Communications and Marketing, advanced, Marketing communications""Institution?""Columbia""Interests?""Sailing""Age?""It's on my résumé, Mr. Holden""Indeed, it is. But, I didn't think it right to go through the documents anymore, not after you lied"A low breath poured out my lips at his utterance, mind already catching on to what he meant. He was a smart one. Even smarter than they said."I'm Twenty Eight, Mr. Holden""Hmm""Our Marketing department has always had younger people in it. People who are just fresh out of college""Perhaps, that's the reason it's failing" The words poured out my lips without warningI heard that scoff escape his lips, eyes holding onto my form.He was breaking every little patience I had left, and he managed to do it so well. He just was intent to having me give in. Give in to the pressure, fumble, and have that secretary out there, come lead me away, but my gaze intent in his, only kept me holding on. If it was a game he was down for, then I was one to play so well."How might you please me, Miss Parker?""How would you want me, Mr. Holden?"I should stop. It was only a tease I had mindlessly put up, hoping to get a longer moment with him, listening to whatever I had to say, but apparently, he was a persistent young man, one who would get to the end of every matter started."I'm only scared we don't speak of the same thing here" He followed."Oh, I very much follow, Mr Holden""Here's the thing Miss Parker" He began, figure tearing off the chair, approaching my form.I fretted at his incoming profile, eyes averted away, not daring to meet that striking gaze of his.Even in the calming space, I could feel the burn that rushed to my chest. He had soon pulled up beside my form, eyes peering on at my warded off profile."I'd like to see how so well you think can please me" He called."If you manage to have me forget how troublesome the morning has been, then I assure you, the position is all yours"Eyes had snapped up to him at once, gaze beholding the sincerity in those grey eyes."Also—He paused for a long minute, figure inching closer....If you manage to have me pleased...He drew even nearer, breath so close, it fanned against my neck—"Then you, Miss Janet Parker, will be the company's new marketer to be employed"~~~"Then you, Miss Janet Parker, will be the company's new marketer to be employed"Those words struck me so hard, I found my eyes widened at his utterance, mouth gaping without warning."Excuse me?" The words left my lips at once, ears not believing what had broken out."Do you need me to fetch a translator, Miss Parker?""If I'm not mistaken, you majored in communications" He called at once."I don't see any reason why it should be hard getting my message. You stated yourself that you could please me" His voice was low."I'd like to see how well you can"And with that, he had turned away, figure pulling to that chair with body sinking into it slowly."The interview lasts only ten minutes, Miss Parker" His voice did enough snapping me out my trance."If you consider getting this job, then you should get yourself moving" He added. At those words, my feet had pushed forward, steps slow, eyes never leaving his. Those eyes.Dammit! Those eyes held some form of amusement, watching as I drew closer. My heart had embarked on a race of its own, mind wondering whatever antics I thought was wise putting up.What would Tara think? Oh, she would burst into a fit of laughter the minute I am to narrate my ordeal to her. For that’s exactly what I had turned into—A clown. For some reason, I waited for him to tell me it was only a prank, and was just a means of having me shaken. But, those words never poured out his lips. And I tell you, I sure was shaken. That gaze only watched—Watching as I pulled myself to the table before him.I could feel all of me scream for hydration. Throat already turned dry at that lingering gaze of the fellow, and with chest racing, I set my legs apart, left with a sight all for him to behold.I caught the rush of delight fill those eyes of the gentleman, body relaxed back in that chair, with face bearing neither a smile nor a frown.Slowly and cautiously, my fingers tugged at the buttons of the white shirt Tara had been so kind to cop from Macy's. And at a snap, that red brassiere gifted to me by mother was what was left peering at the face of the young man before me.His eyes held on so well, gaze skimming my cleavage, all the way to my parted legs in front of him.And just then did that figure begin advancing. I watched him pull forward, eyes all the while keen on my form, and at the tug of his hands on my sheer stockings, pushing against my thighs, I found that breath which had so gotten hitched in my throat soon emitted.Hands still clutching tightly onto my thighs, the sound of his breaths was all that filled my ears."You're not doing enough to please me, Miss Parker" His voice poured against the skin of my ears, fingers trailing around my arms.At every of his touch, I was sure to get the shudders, body left flinching, not out of fear, believe me, it was of how calm this man in front of me appeared to be, despite the situation the day had been so kind to toss our way."If one speaks of pleasure, they must be informed of how much weight it is" He followed. My eyes only stared back into his, watching the glee which filled that gaze of his.He was enjoying every bit of this—Every bit of seeing me regret, and at that, I pulled myself closer to him, taking off the jacket worn on his body. That white shirt clung onto his chest so well, his arms bulked underneath the fabric."You should know it's dangerous to start what one can't finish" His voice was low, breaths fanning against my neck.At every utterance he gave, he would push his hands further up my thighs, sending the heat all through my body."Even more dangerous when you're confined to a space" His hands clutched at the sheer fabric underneath my skirt, tugging at it in a go. I heard the rip follow, with the stockings pulling apart, my uncovered skin was all that was left in sight. And at once, he came at me.Hands grabbing ahold of my hips, his fingers trailed softly all over my skin.Whole of me left agitated, I could feel my breaths turn heavier, fingers clutching at the table. He found his way to that space between my thighs, a grin tugging at his lips while he watched my eyes plead for him to go on.And at his touch, he was sure to catch the gasp which followed out of my lips—That call of pleasure the instant his index had slipped in between my thighs, soon broke out into the room.I tried so much suppressing my voice, chest heaving while he filled his mouth with my bosoms.Hands gentle, touch soft on me, his lips fondled with my partly-covered breasts."Mr Holden" My voice poured cracked, tone wavering. And all the while I remained in his grip, I could feel the warmth his fingers brought about. Those tingles which he sent to me. Such sensation that was bound to have me ending the day in regrets. We should stop. Ten minutes had gone past, yet my hands clung onto his tightly, body drawn to his form."Mr Holden?"That muffled voice came right outside the room, followed with a couple taps on the door. But believe me, that never for once got Mr. Holden to a stop. His hands remained held around me, body against mine, and at each second his fingers came sliding in and out my vulva, I was sure to catch the judders. Those damning lips he bore, remained sending every tease to my skin, trailing from my neck, all the way to my bosoms, and with his hands wandering down on me, sending the ease to the throb of my ‘lady’ down there, I knew I was only a second from giving in.At this point, I cared not having my voice controlled. It poured out without warning, while all of me was left jolting at every of his touch.Perhaps, I was wrong, after all. For it would be this Mister, to have me unfold, rather than I, him."Mr Holden" There came the intrusive voice yet again, with multiple knocks following. And in that moment his lips slammed against my bosoms, my head fell back in response, my clutch onto the table, even firmer.I should pull away, yet, I yearned for him to go on. We must stop, still, neither of us made a move. There our forms were, hands grasping onto each other's, with my call of pleasure filling the space of the room.I felt my body giving in, chest rushing with warmth, and in a second, he had pulled back, leaving me gasping at his hands which still lingered in between my thighs. I watched him move away from me, hands reaching for the glass of wine sat on the desk before him.He downed the lot in a second, gaze snapping to my form, while I was left fastening my brassiere. My fingers were left fiddling with the last button of my shirt, hands soon reaching to tug my skirt down.I felt my legs already weary in these heels, body getting a hold of it while I stepped aside, the same minute a figure had barged into the office.A lady.Adalynn, so she had introduced earlier. In her hands was a file, a file of all the names of every applicant. My name somewhere probably down there, written in black ink, with a box in front, waiting to be ticked or cancelled.Whichever it was, I would only get through. The eyes of Adalynn accessed the area, gaze shifting from the form of Mr. Holden to the quaked one of mine."Mr Holden" She had called in a breath, eyes staring back at the young man who only peered back at her with a blank face."Forgive me, Sir" She called at once. "I feared something might have happened""Dismiss the people waiting outside and let it be known that Miss Parker here now has the job"Those words got my jaw dropping, eyes widened at his departing form."Sir?" That same lady who had ushered me into this building the very first minute I set foot here, appeared dumbfounded at his pronouncement."And let it be the last time you or any other person barges into my office like that" He called right before stepping out the room, leaving the gazes of Adalynn and I shifting between each other.I know I had fought to get this, hoped to get a new job even, but after what happened right here, I only prayed he would turn me away, rejecting me as an employee. But perhaps, Tara was right, if your résumé never works, your charms should. And that sure got me being the employee to Mr. Holden. A man whom I had shamelessly brought myself before, having a make out session with him in his office, and now I was left with nothing, but to behold that face every single day.~[CHAPTER THREE]~"Woo-hoo!" I jolted at the pop that rang in the air the instant I stepped foot into my sober New-York apartment. Stood at the center of the room was the figure of a bubbly Tara, right hand holding onto a bottle of wine, the other, fetching a glass cup from a desk at the corner. "Congratulations!" She squealed those words so hard, I feared the neighbors would come banging at our door. My eyes only remained peering blankly at her, watching the dance she had put up, with her petite form skipping here to there, and soon coming to pull me in her embrace. "How did you know?" The words left my lips at once. "You texted me. Remember?" She followed, pulling up her cell, with a text from me, flashing boldly on the screen. Of course, I did. After searching for whom to vent to, telling them how I stupidly had gone on with an act that was only out for my sanity. "You're an employee at Holden Inc." Her voice was filled with much joy, eyes beaming on at my form. "That's
~[CHAPTER FOUR]~"He broke up with me, Jane"My eyes beheld the sad ones of my friend, which usually would be housing lots of happiness, but otherwise it was on a cold Friday night as this" "A relationship we had managed to build for five years, and he heartlessly cut it off" She gave a smile, yet, on her cheeks, were tears streaming down. "Five years, Jane!" "Five years of me planning what the future would hold for the both of us" "Five years of me working for what would eventually come to crash" "T-" My voice was soft, hoping it would do enough getting her to a calm, but her wails only broke into my ears, shoulders trembling, while the tears poured out her eyes. "Come on, T" "Don't let this ruin you" "Well, it already has" She chuckled emptily."I am left with nothing but memories of a person whom I so bore myself to" "I am left with cracked pieces, Jane" Her voice wavered. "Don't say that" I pulled her body to mine, hands patting her back. "You can't let this break you,
~[CHAPTER FIVE]~"Mr. Holden would like to see you" I froze at that utterance, eyes left beholding the form of Adalynn, who now made her way into the space that had been assigned to me earlier on. "Sorry?" I gaped on at her, finding it difficult to have those words settle."Mr Holden would like to see you" She called, yet again. "And if I were you.......She drew even nearer, eyes holding onto mine. "I wouldn't be a minute late" Of course, I was used to being late. That now was her impression of me. "And get this office to a better state" She called, face scrunched up. "Even rats would reject living here" The scowl followed, right before her figure walked out of the modest, yet comfortable area I had grown to adapt to. Whoever did this gruff lady think she is? Was that some sort of show of authority out here? Do forgive me for wanting to speak highly of my previous organization, but in as much as I was irked by each one of them, I was no twerp to them. And yes, Adalynn might be
~[CHAPTER SIX]~ I waddled into the large room acting as a conference hall, eyes taking in the number of figures scattered around the area. There they all were, forms surrounding the black, oval table centered in the space, and with voices pouring out, breaking the calm of the room, each one went engaging in a discussion with another. I had been here for at least enough time to get acquainted, yet a stranger, I felt. Perhaps, I was. No one bothered sparing my incoming form a glance. For all they cared, I was the company's new marketer. "Oh, come on people. It's just a minor issue" A voice called from beside the chair I had sank into, with the profile of a middle-aged lady coming into view. "Perhaps it is to address the new arrivals" Her gaze spun to me at once, a smile lighting up her red-stained lips. "Can you believe there's a new employee?" She pushed even closer, eyes intent in mine. "Some wretch, I'm informed of" Believe me, I heard those words just fine. "Lord knows our
~[CHAPTER SEVEN]~I lost every containment in me, as I came barging into this area, figure intruding on such quietude which made up the space. There he sat, the only figure I yearned to see ever since the meeting at the conference hall.Right away, was that form on the rewinding chair, back turned to the entrance, he had soon spun around at my entry, profile beholding mine. At the hold of that gaze, my chest burned, scrutiny fixed onwards, while those eyes came scanning my figure. "To what do I owe this, Miss Parker?" He appeared not a bit concerned about the occurrence in the previous meeting, instead, sat on his face, was that irksome expression he bore effortlessly."I think your decisions are unfair" I let out in a tone that was pushed by rounds of frustration, anger, exasperation and adamancy. "I thought we had all that banter settled in the meeting, Miss Parker" Came his voice, with the bastard deeming it much interesting turning to the glass of wine sat on his desk. "You
~[CHAPTER EIGHT]~"I'm Susy" The voice of the girl before me was filled with much cheer, and I tell you, in as much as the sweetness she was sure to be found with seemed most charming, it pissed me to the bone. "I know" My own voice poured low, eyes fixed on the files scattered over my desk. All those files which needed sorting—All of it one thing to be attended to, and I tell you, I was finding it hard doing just that when some prat went moving around telling me I wasn't living up to the certifications of my résumé. "The introductions were made earlier" Broke my voice, with me soon bringing my attention on the girl. "Oh" She pushed even closer, laying down the brown paper box held in her hands, figure soon sinking into the seat next to mine. I could feel that scrutiny parade my form, and I didn't need to turn around to tell the smile which was sure to take her face. The girl could be fired and you were sure to find her with a grin. Whatever was most pleasing about the day? Bel
~[CHAPTER NINE]~Knock! Knock! I turned to meet the questioning eyes of Tara, that gaze of hers keen on me for the past minute since the door had been threatened to be stormed down by whoever was out there. We rarely had visitors, none we expected. The only people you would find coming around, were the random flings she brought back for the night ever since— Knock! Knock! Knock! There followed that intrusive sound yet again. "A burglar" I scrunched up my face at the utterance, eyes narrowed at her form. "Have you been drinking?" I could affirm that New York was a wild place, but rarely on this corner, did we ever encounter burglaries. The security was pretty tight, and I could swear that was only our push for still having this apartment in our hold. "Don't look at me like that" Followed the voice of Tara, hands at once grabbing onto the dish plate laid on the table. "Haven't you heard the rumors going around?" "Ol' Kathleen was robbed on her way back from a charity event last
~[CHAPTER TEN]~Figures came strolling past my jumbled form, each one bearing a red envelope in their hands. The hubbub which befell the area, had my eyes shifting from here to there, hoping to understand what to make of the rabbles. At every corner one turned to, you were sure to find a jumbled form, all to influence the ruckus which had now pulled about. "Have you gotten one?" Face bearing a crooked grin, the figure of a man hurried past mine, eyes lingering on my disoriented gaze. "What is that?" My voice called after that departing figure, yet, there followed no answer from the fellow who appeared to have something much more interesting to tend to. "It's an invitation" I didn't need to turn around to tell who that voice belonged to—That damning calm voice of his, which emitted past my shoulders. And perhaps that was some charm of his, demanding attention, that is. Cause in a second, the once-growing hubbub had died, with the people returning to their positions. I found my
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE]~"We can't let you through ma'am" My eyes were found gaping at the form away, holding onto such hostile air which exhumed from the fellow. "Sorry, what?""Mr. Holden has requested he best be left alone…He has informed us not to let anyone in" He clarified. "I work for him......at the company" My words barely had little effect on the man away, as that smug scowl still rested on his lips, with eyes holding a haze of trauma, and brute."We're gonna have to ask you to leave, young lady" He followed at once, motioning for me to step away. "It's important I see him, Sir" "You have to leave, Miss" "It's urgent" "I'd hate to repeat myself" "Come on!" My arms flung in the air, exasperation claiming the most of me."Ma'am, Please. You're creating a scene" My jaw had dropped without warning at his choice of words, eyes gaping on at him. "I'm creating a scene?" The scoff left my lips, gaze peering at that profile. "If you don't mind me asking, what's the name?" "
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT]~And here we were, forms centered on the office floor, with burnt cig ashes littered over the marble tiles, while the sound of my laughs poured out into the room. "I'm telling you, Jane. I found myself mopping floors with my garments, all in sakes of bringing food to my mouth" Spoke Louis. "It was a hectic one, Jane" "Life never is easy" "Not in a million years would I believe you come from such home, so raggedy, even to an extent of being feasted by rats" I called in a low voice. "Oh, not just the rodents, Jane" He whispered. "Even the roaches and snakes took abode in our home, and only then did it hit me, that I wasn't living. Not until I got the comfort I sought, the peace......and the joy" He called in a low voice. "One never is serious, not until they get a push" He let out. "Mine came about, at the height of the poverty that feasted my heart. That, Janet Parker, was my turning point, and my snap to work" "What is yours?" Those eyes searched throu
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN]~The reception received upon my entry into Cigg Holdings, was beyond exceptional, I tell you. Each one of the people bore smiles on their face, with eyes beaming on at me, their arms opened up to receive me, at this point, I was made to believe there was something else to the occasion. Could I have turned so important overnight. "Oh, please. Don't get the poor lady, startled" The calm voice of Mr Vettriano soon took the space, with his figure coming right into view. "We can save the cheers for when eventually she takes office" He chuckled, with hands reaching out to take mine. "I hope" He added in a low voice. "Miss Parker, I long awaited your visit" He stepped aside, motioning for me to step into the elevator before him. Those eyes watched me keenly. Holding onto to every slight movement I gave, with a look of glee I still couldn't decipher."I'm sorry, I couldn't meet up on time" My voice was low, eyes watching his fingers set the elevator to the last
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX]~"Why do you look ravishing today, Miss Parker?" My eyes had snapped to the form of Susy proceeding into the office, hands holding onto a paper bag."Why?" I followed with confused eyes peering on at her."You look beautiful, not to lie" That certainly must be a lie,m, cause I believe looked just the way I felt, and I can tell you I didn't feel so good.Saying I was tired, was merely an understatement. I was utterly drained, completely knackered as one would say. "I gotta tell you, Susy. When a lady hears how beautiful she is, she flushes not because she actually is beautiful, it's because it helps boost her confidence" "If I do look beautiful, then I must go on being stressed, cause I can't tell what's changed with me. But stil, thank you for that" I saw a smile creep up her lips, eyes beaming on at me."No, thank you. Miss Parker" She fell silent, eyes only watching me carefully, and next came the same Susy I was familiar with. "Miss Parker" Her voice w
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE]~"Become a manager at Cigg. Holdings"Those words still rolled around my head, despite it being days since Louis had stepped here. Me? A manager to one of the top companies in the state, if not the best. What exactly did I know about managing such huge business? But I tell you, Louis was one to think otherwise. In fact, he deemed me the best match to head such organization. Now, why would that be? I still couldn't figure out, all i found myself re-living, were his utterances. This was massive. It spelt a new path in my life. Me heading such organization as Louis' was bound to change all about me. And I mean that in every good way. My life was to change for good. But why me? What exactly did he mean by his interest piqued in getting familiar with my character? What character exactly? If anything I was an utter mess. A sore one. Why then did Louis Vettriano choose to come to me with such offer that just was irresistible. "Jane"I was snapped at the sound
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR]~"My life's only a rollercoaster, Tara" My figure had crashed right onto the couch, taking the space next to her form. "A rough ride it is" I could feel her eyes scanning my profile, no words coming from the girl away. At once I had snatched the heels off my feet, sinking my legs onto the plush carpet, and I tell you, the feel that rushed through was just every comfort I sought. "Can you believe Louis Vettriano stopped by the office today. The life had soon rushed back to me, with every delight filling my gaze, while those words stumbled out my lips. "He was there to offer me a job, Tara. A job!?" "He offered to make me his manager"The eyes of Tara only watched me while I went on. She had barely made an utterance, that gaze only remained intent on my form. "I'm entirely lost, Tara" My voice was low, eyes faltering. "Whatever do you think I should do?" "Okay, that's enough, Jane!" Followed the voice of Tara, figure tearing off the couch at once. "You put
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE]~"There are a lot of things left for one to behold in this world, Miss Parker" My gaze shifted to the form of Louis, ears perked, at each word that came tumbling out his lips. I dare not be distracted. He had so managed to earn my undivided attention effortlessly, with eyes watching him, watching every slight movement he gave."You, Miss Parker, are an exceptional lady, I must say"He waved at the lady behind the counter, calling for her to return with the cups of coffee he had ordered minutes ago. I gaped on like I was caught in some sort of trance. Perhaps, I was. For it be the fact that this man wasn't on my TV screen, or the page of some magazine held between my fingers. No, no, no. Louis Vettriano was sat right before me. Far away from Holden Inc. we were. For some reason, he had decided to take me to the café right down the street, prepared to make his business known. I soon caught sight of the lady approaching, hands bearing a tray holding the cup
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO]~"Miss Parker?" “Miss Parker!” I jolted at the voice which deemed it fit to ruin the peace that had taken a hold of me.Oh, the calm I had found myself in, now altered by whoever that form was that had now waddled into the area. It was merely five minutes gone that I was found basking in every serenity that came with the office space, mind lost in thoughts, having its own wandering, when that voice came stumbling in, altering a moment that I felt was just irredeemable. "Miss Parker!" "What is it, Susy!?"Believe me I tried my best to remain calm, I pinched myself to, but the incessant call of my name, by a girl whom I had been direct in sending downstairs, to fetch nothing in particular, just to evade her babbles, for as peaceful as five minutes could be, soon got me snapping to her, eyes taking in her form. She paused at my outpour, eyes shifting through the room for a minute, and at once her eyes lit up, figure pulling closer to mine. "There are some peo
~[CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE]~I let the form of Tara crash into my hands, a low grunt pouring out her lips upon the impact of our figures. She had bruises all over. With eyes still holding onto the fear that had caught her half an hour ago, there still remained patches of blood on her lips. "I'm sorry" My voice wavered, eyes pulling her even tighter to myself. "I'm sorry, Tara" She barely made an utterance, instead, her grip on me only tightened, body relaxing in mine. "Janet Parker?" Came the voice that managed to pull our figures apart. "I'll need you for questioning" I stared at the middle-aged man before me, eyes holding onto the same joy it held, while he burst into our house, tackling George to the ground. He had smacked him repeatedly, holding a gun to his face, and in all of his glory, he tore a cuff out, placing it on the wrists of the man who would have been my murderer, if they hadn't arrived just in time. "I'm Officer Thawne" "Your friend will be attended to by the parame
