RUBY’S POV

“You may think I have no idea what you've been up to but I keep up with the news, Ruby and I know what you've been doing,” Avery said to me as I stood by the door and watched her and she smirked knowingly.

“I don't know what you're talking about,” I told her because I was clueless. I had no idea what she meant by keeping up with the news and knowing what I'd been up to.

“Don't act so clueless, Ruby. I know you're dating Mr. Kellen. I saw your pictures on the front page of a magazine which was talking about your reunion and how good you both look together. I'm certain he doesn't know you're Magenta” she replied and I swallowed.

How on earth did she find out when it was a New York magazine? Had she been monitoring me or was she interested in Dax and thought she could take him for herself?

“You won't mention any of this to Mr. Kellen, Avery. He has no idea I'm Magenta and I intend to keep it that way for as long as I do this job” I told her and she held her hands up
