Ashford pushed Luna behind a tree when they reached the pack. The pack was filled with those creatures. They had long, sharp claws, razor teeth, and red eyes, and they looked really huge. Warmth filled Luna's chest; sparks flew as Ashford leaned in close, his lips brushing against hers for the first time. Butterflies danced in her stomach as he captured her lips in a kiss. His lips were soft against her own; she kissed him back, her hand moving from her sides to the back of his neck.
