"Bye, Hira! Bye, Emma!" Lace and Gertrude said as they wave their hands to bid goodbye. Emma and I just smiled and waved back at the two as they got into their car. It was a long day, yet I won't deny the fact that I enjoyed it.

Our girls' bonding is over, and it's time for us to go home. We have preceded the two since they parked closer to the exit of the mall. 'Why did we even think of parking our car far from the exit?' I said as I mentally scold myself. But I just sigh for I, myself, can't answer my own question.

Crazy, right?

Emma and I are now taking our trackback to our car we were using when she suddenly slapped her own forehead. 'What's wrong with her?' I look at her quizzically with my brows furrowed. And it was when she starts to speak.

"Adhira, I forgot to buy something. Matt told me to buy a calculator earlier." She said as I immediately frowned. "Why would he tell you to buy one if we don't need it in our class?" I ask her. It's true. We are not allowed to use a calculator at school. And as a matter of fact, they're ways smarter than me. So, where will he use it?

"He counted all the leaves in the garden, right?" She said to me and I just nod in response. Yes, he said that he will count all the leaves in the garden because he's bored. And, so? "I told him to get the square root of the total number of leaves on the east side." She added, and that makes my mind blown. They're such weird twins, indeed.

"So, that's it. I'll just go back inside. Just wait for me in the car." She said and handed me the car keys. I was about to object when she turns her back and ran back inside the mall.

Now, I'm in this roomy parking lot, walking alone. I chose to walk at a slower pace since I'm not with Emma. She is a speed walker, indeed. She is a person who's always like in a rush. Psh.

I was still whistling as I walk when I saw a girl that is only about my age. She's probably running fast and it was then I realize that she hastens closer to where I am.

But what I noticed more is the men running after her. They are all wearing black. And it's too dark to recognize their face.

'Isn't the woman they are chasing a snatcher?' I ask myself. But if you could only see them, those who chase her look more criminal! I was about to have a long debate with myself when I chose to ignore my thoughts and continue walking.

But I did not realize soon that the girl is already running close to me and she abruptly stops as she suddenly bumps into me. I was slightly pushed backward, though the impact was not that strong. We looked at each other for a moment and I can say that she's surprised when our eyes met.

Like me, she also has porcelain skin and rosy lips. But what surprised me is her eyes. She has a pair of cinnamon brown orbs that only Mageians have that shade. I was about to speak when she steps backward. "Sorry," She utters as she recovers from the shock and slightly bows her head down. But before I could speak, she ran once again. I noticed the sudden cessation of those who were chasing her earlier. They all scan the area as if they are finding someone. It's also amazing that they don't seem to see me standing right in the middle.

"She's nowhere to find." A man with a black cloak said. I turned around and saw the woman I was chasing earlier who was just leaning against the post as if no one was chasing her.

"Adjourn. We need to report this to Master Donovan." The man in the black cloak said once again. And as of cue, his people marches back from the direction where they came from.

They are already gone from my sight, but what the man said still echoes in my mind. 'Donovan?' I said at the back of my mind. There is only one person I know who's named Donovan, but he can't be here. He wants me to leave Mageia before, so why would he be here?

I just shrug off my thoughts as I roam my eyes around the area and the girl is still there. I was about to march towards her when I felt Emma's presence so I faced the direction where she came from.

"I told you to wait for me inside our car, didn't I?" She said as she raised an eyebrow at me. "Oh well. I already bought what he told me. Now, let get in the car." I just sigh in defeat and start walking again towards our car.

But as we walk towards our vehicle, I couldn't help but look back in the direction of the girl who was being chased earlier. And to my surprise, she's still standing there. She's smiling sweetly at me. She even slightly bows her head like what the others do in our realm. Now, I'm wondering,

Who is she?

~

The weekend passed quickly and now it is Monday. I should wake up early again and I should go to school earlier. Lastly, of course, I will see the smiley face sitting next to me again. Psh.

Just like the usual start of my day, the door of my room turned to ashes again and my room became an igloo. Emma initiates to cook our breakfast, while Matt volunteers to wash the dishes. And lastly, as usual, as we walked we looked at each other again.

"Good morning, seatmate!" The walking smiley face sitting next to me, Shiloh greeted me as step my foot inside the room. I just nod at him in response and leaned on my armrest. Maybe I'm still allowed to sleep here since it's still too early.

My eyes are still shut when my 'seatmate' poke my shoulder once again. "What?" I asked him annoyingly as I groan.

"Look! Today is the first day she came to our class. But, she said that she's not a transferee. Weird, right?" He said pertaining to the girl sitting in the first row.

I look at the girl he's on and I recognize her face. She looks familiar, yet I can't exactly say where and when I saw her. She has hickory brown medium hair, matching her cinnamon-brown eyes.

She marches in front of the class, as she smiles sweetly at each one of us. "Hello everyone! I'm Kendra Brites, 16 years old. Nice to meet you all!" She utters as she roams her eyes on us. And I saw a glimpse of surprise in her eyes as our gaze met. She slightly bows her head and smiles at me once again. And with that, I remember where I saw her.

She was the girl being chased last night.
