I'm Not Crying

Once again Lilyana wiped away the tears that might still be left there. The tears that managed to make her eyes red and part of her face moist.

She then shook her head. "No, I'm just sleepy."

"If you're sleepy why don't you just sleep, Honey?" Ed Shane approached his wife, stroking the shoulder of the woman who looked so fragile.

Again Lilyana shook her head. "I want to wait for you."

"Oh, have you had dinner yet?" continued Lilyana asked.

Now it was Ed Shane's turn to shake his head. "Not yet."

"Hmm." Lilyana looked thoughtful. "Shall we have omelettes tonight?"

"Great idea, I'll make it for you!"

"Is it true?" The woman's eyes opened, shining with joy.

"Of course." Ed Shane nodded firmly.

The two of them headed towards the kitchen. Now there are only the two of them in the house.

"You sit here," said Ed Shane who then pulled one of the chairs around the dining table.

The man then put his cellphone, wallet and tuxedo on the table. After that he took an apron and put it on.
