FLUSTERED. To be embarrassed or surprised about a thing. Anna was flustered at Dylan’s remark as her cheeks were flushed in embarrassment. He had just thrown various surprises at her all through the day.

“Mr Dylan, how long have you both been engaged?”

“I won’t be entertaining any more questions,” Dylan says as he grips Anna’s hand and pulls her away from the thousand inquisitive eyes. He doesn’t stop walking till they were both in his office.

Immediately he stops walking, she forcefully loosened his tight grip on her hand which was already a light shade of pink.

After a loud sigh, she drives her fingers through her hair before saying, “What was that all about Dylan?”

“Saving your ass,” he answers while shoving his hands into the pockets of his black pants. His blue eyes had a glint of mischief in them as the corner of his pale lips tilts into a smirk.

“How do you call that saving my ass when you were just being impulsive! Now the whole hospital thinks we’re dating,” She raises her vo

DISMAY. Consternation and distress, typically caused by something unexpected. A feeling of disappointment or sadness. Driven by the devastating revelation that Josh was not only Dylan's doctor but his death was connected to Dylan, Anna hurriedly returned to her apartment—Hannah's old residence. While the police had concluded their investigation into the recent break-in as an unsuccessful search for valuables, Anna's intuition (and her new information about Hannah) told her otherwise. As she walked over towards her apartment, the cold dread in her stomach coiled tighter with every step. The familiar route to her neighbourhood felt alien now, haunted by the ghost of Hannah and the tragic spectre of Josh. She walked up to her apartment building. It was a cozy, tree-lined street, the kind of place you moved to for quiet comfort. It was also, she now knew, the final, desperate refuge of Hannah McCall. She entered her apartment. It was clean—the police had done a thorough job dusting for

FATE. The development of events beyond a person's control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power; an inevitable and often tragic end. Having survived the frightening split, Anna refused to abandon Dylan. She was determined to understand the origin of his trauma—the deep childhood wounds that amplified the betrayal. As Dylan slowly emerged from his depressive state, he revealed the core of his BPD, the result of parental emotional abandonment and manipulation, leading Anna to realize that the monster was merely a frightened boy shaped by a cruel, predetermined fate. The day after the explosion was filled with the oppressive silence of a fragile truce. Dylan woke up guilty and ashamed. The memory of his rage was hazy, but the feeling of having hurt Anna was crystal clear. He found her in the kitchen, making coffee, her movements tired but deliberate. He stood in the doorway, unable to meet her gaze."I'm going to find another place to stay," he mumbled, running a hand over his

FRIGHTEN. To make someone afraid or anxious; to cause fear in a profound or sudden way. Following Liam’s confession, Dylan was engulfed by an intense, destructive BPD episode. The betrayal triggered a full 'split,' turning his world instantly from black-and-white to a terrifying monochrome of hatred and self-loathing. Anna was forced to confront the violent reality of his illness, stepping fully into the role of psychiatrist to de-escalate a situation that was genuinely frightening, all while wrestling with the overwhelming knowledge of his pain. The massive, mahogany desk that had absorbed Dylan's rage stood between him and Anna, a silent witness to the chaos. The dent in the wood was a physical manifestation of the mental fracture that had just occurred. Dylan was hyperventilating, his back still turned to her, his rigid posture screaming panic and self-hatred.Anna knew instinctively that the immediate threat of violence was over, having been directed at Liam. Now, the violence was

TEMPORARY. Lasting for only a limited period of time, not permanent. The happiness of her new, real relationship with Dylan was violently short-lived. A sudden domestic moment, intended to solidify their bond, instead became the catalyst for a horrifying discovery. Anna was jolted into full awareness of the tangled web that connected Hannah, Dylan, and Liam, realizing that the perfect twin’s guilt was far deeper than she had imagined.Anna was finally staying at Dylan’s apartment full-time, her few boxes of belongings a quiet invasion of his perfectly minimal, expensive space. They had established a comfortable rhythm, their relationship functioning as a quiet, protective bubble against the chaos of the outside world. One rainy Saturday afternoon, they decided to spend the day indoors. Dylan was determined to show Anna his "domestic" side."I'm reorganizing my library," he announced, holding up a massive, leather-bound volume of obscure 19th-century medical texts. "It's chaotic. And I

SURREAL. Having the qualities of surrealism; bizarre, dreamlike, or fantastic; seemingly detached from reality. Anna’s life had fractured into two distinct realities: the private, intense, and ethically questionable relationship with Dylan, and the public, professional role as the director’s "girlfriend." Returning to work, she found herself inhabiting a dreamlike world where her identity as a dedicated doctor was now overshadowed by her celebrity status, making every interaction feel bizarre and detached from the professional life she once knew.Anna walked through the glass doors of G.L Hospital, the same place she had walked into every weekday for the past one year, but the atmosphere was dramatically different. The sterile, fluorescent-lit halls now felt like the stage of a play she hadn't auditioned for. The nurses at the front desk, usually immersed in charts and patient intake, looked up in unison. Their whispers, though hushed, were impossible to ignore: “It’s her.” “The direc

YEARNING. A feeling of intense longing for something. The fake engagement, now given a genuine emotional core, quickly blurred into a fragile reality with Dylan yearning for more. Dylan and Anna were living a lie that felt more real than their actual lives. While both clung to the denial that they were simply 'strategizing,' their bodies and actions betrayed the intense, unspoken longing that defined their days: the yearning for a future that wasn't shadowed by secrets, BPD, or professional constraints. The media frenzy began the moment photos of Dylan and Anna at the gala—her hand on his arm, his head bent intimately towards hers on the balcony—hit the morning papers. The headlines were a mix of fawning praise and barely concealed skepticism. The Director’s Enigmatic Bride-to-Be. Blake's Sudden Vow: A Cure for Scandal?Dylan and Anna held a sterile, post-gala meeting in his hospital office, surrounded by stacks of magazines and printouts of social media chatter."It worked," Dylan st
