THE DRUNK

As she walked down the hall, thoughts raced through her mind. Unsure how to approach Grandma Elizabeth and asked her about Diana. Last time she tried the woman almost gave up the ghost.

She reached the giant door to Grandma's room and knocked.

The door opened, and Grandma was sitting in her chair, her eyes showing her surprise. She didn't expect to see Angela in her room.

"Angela," she said, her voice soft and worried. "What's wrong?"

“Nothing..I just want to talk to you,Grandma."

Grandma Elizabeth smiled.

“Come,have a seat”.

She tapped on the soft spot beside her.

Angela smiled back and walked to her, she sat down awkwardly.

“Before you go on and say anything,I want to apologize for the last time…my son Antonio..he..he…can be very difficult and when I look back at the good times..it hurts so much…the poor kid is trapped and hurting people that mean so much to him”.
