CAKE DAY

In the Montero's servant's quarters,the room was filled with the smell of freshly baked bread and the sound of hushed voices.

The maids assigned to Angela were gathered around the kitchen table, talking with serious expression on their faces.

The table was covered with a white cloth, and a bowl of green peas sat in the centre.

The maids picked at the peas, their eyes downcast.

"I'm worried about Lady Angela," one of the maids said, her voice low, she bad a dark hair and green eyes..the youngest amongst them.

"She's not eating, and she won't get out of bed.it’s been two days,she just stays in her room all day,straing at the window and crying ."

“She just recoverd and the doctord said we need to make sure she eat well and take her drugs,but she won't stop crying”.

Another maid, a tall, slender woman with a head of red curls, leaned forward.

"I think she's thinking about her family," she said. "I think she misses them terribly."

The other maids nodded, their faces sombre.
