CHAPTER 73

~GABRIELLA'S POV~

I got back on my feet and walked away from him. I could hear the other maids giggling as they watched me. One of the maids, who was about the same age as my younger brother, stepped forward with her item. Her entire body shook in fear, and she had a worried look on her face.

Even without looking back, I could tell she had gone through something traumatic at the hands of Elvis. He had committed so many atrocities with the maids in the past, and his mother and father never said anything about it.

As I walked toward the exit of the hall, I heard him say, “Drop your item along with the others. Come meet me in my room later tonight; if you don't, I'll send my guards to come find you.”

“Ye-yes, my lord,” She said it softly, trembling, and her voice was barely audible. She dropped her item on top of the pile and walked away, tears streaming from her eyes. She walked past me, and I turned to her. I couldn't tell who she was because my family had numerous maids in

Information about our defenses; information that would allow them to kill us all,” Elvis said, standing up from his seat. He walked around elegantly, like the rich brat he was, waving his hands around as he spat more rubish.“Today we are going to show you what happens to spies and/or traitors. We shall behead her and feed her to critters in the forest,” he continued with a sinister smile. He turned to the large man who stood beside Estela, then gestured with his hand for the execution process to begin. The large man nodded and raised his large axe. He paused, waiting for Elvis to give him the order to swing it.I could see on Estela's face that she had already given up on living. She wasn't even bothered by the fact that she was being executed; it seemed all she wanted was for her pain to end. I could see tears tainted

I didn't know why, but somehow I felt a bit of remorse for this woman who had tortured me all my life. Elvis continued to hit her, and blood started to pour out of her mouth. He raised his hand, and claws shot out of his fingers. I tightened my fist and clenched my teeth as my brows furrowed. My eyes turned a firey blue, and as he swung his claws at my mother's face, I kicked the door open and rushed toward him.“You ungrateful imbecile!” I yelled angrily, tears streaming from my eyes. With power I never knew I had, I grabbed my brother's throat and slammed his head into the wall repeatedly until he spat out blood.“After all she's done for you, this is how you repay your own mother!!” I yelled, throwing my fists at him in a fit of rage. My eyes were closed, and I could see nothing but darkness.“That song. The song you and your mate danced to in your dreams—the song she sang to you when you were still a youngling,” the voice replied.“I can't… I can't hear it,” I said.“Focus,” The voice whispered into my ear, fading away just as it came.I listened into the depths of the silence, and suddenly, the sound of humming got louder and louder.“I can hear it; it's clear." I said, smiling.“Good, now… Sing it,” the voice replied.I let out a soft breath, then gently pressed my lips against each other. I made a humming sound, following the melody of the beautiful song that played in my head. As I hummed the song, I could hear laughter, and I could feel the warmth of home in my heart. I'm not playing this game with you anymore,” she said, folding her arms on her chest and furrowing her eye brows.“Common, I've won you ten times in a row; don't be like that. I'm just really good at the game. No one can beat me at chess,” Derren said with a smirk, relaxing on his seat's backrest.“You can keep your silly games and swollen head to yourself. I'll go play with someone who doesn't cheat,” Maria said with an upset expression on her face.Derren got up from his seat and walked over to her side of the table. He placed his palms on her shoulders and massaged them gently.“Don't do that; if you go look for someone else to play this game with, then I'll have no one to keep me happy and support me in my lowest moments,” Derren said.“Derren, it's just a chess game,” Maria said.Derren giggled a bit, then pu

I just hope nothing bad has happened to them,” Steven said, pacing around in his office.“Don't worry, I'm sure they'll be fine. Besides, they have Valerie to guide them; they'll return home eventually,” Clarabelle said with a worried expression on her face. She had come into Steven's office to deliver his meal.“I know, I just can't help but worry if only I could leave the dumb building,” Steven said, sitting on his desk.Clarabelle was surprised by his behavior. She had never seen her alpha so worried about someone before. He was usually this grumpy, serious person, and he never even spoke a word to his maids unless it was an order.“Could it be because of... Gabriella? Come to think of it, the alpha changed a lot when she came to the mansion. He smiles a lot more and speaks with his maids more. He is no longer the ruthless alpha we all once feared,” Clarabelle thought to herself

She sat beside Clarabelle, touched her thigh, and quickly retracted her palm, feeling the intense vibration of her body.“Hey, what's wrong? Some of the other maids told me you suddenly screamed on the way here. What's going on?” Christine asked. Holding Clarabelle's hand.Clarabelle remained quiet. Her eyes focused on the wall opposite her bed. Her irises shrank as she stared at the point where the wall and the floor joined. She raised her left index finger and pointed to it.“What is it?” Christine asked, turning to the area where Clarabelle pointed.Clarabelle said nothing; her eyes were still focused on that point, and her finger was stuck pointing in that direction.

This book was written by a distant cousin who was very interested in the supernatural world and things that were hidden from the naked eye.“From the information in this book, an agreement between the moon goddess and her evil half was to share this world. But the moon goddess had to separate her creation's perception of reality from the creations of her evil half's. This was to prevent chaos,” Steven continued.“Well, that doesn't explain why an abyss demon is after my friend, Clarabelle,” Christine said. She sat on a seat in front of Steven's desk.“True, but let's go over this whole thing from the beginning so you can see

CHAPTER 307~3RD PERSON’S POV~Marie and her sisters, Cortana and Yuna, sat inside a large metal dome created by Angela. Angla had created multiple domes like this to accommodate the entire army of Vedantya, and this was because the temperature of the atmosphere has risen to an unbearable level. Daniella used her manipulation of heat to cool down the domes so the occupants wouldn't die of heat stroke. The air around the domes looked like it had been stained with gasoline fumes, and rocks around them had begun melting.Valerie tried again and again to open a portal but failed every single time. The spell that blocked her ability to use spatial magic wasn't very powerful but was somehow too complex for her to undo. It was like the spell reformed itself at light speed every time she broke it, and there was no way of stopping it.“This is bad. If we stay here longer than this, the whole world is going to melt down,” Angela said with worry on her face.“No, we can't give up yet; I'm sure I

CHAPTER 306~3RD PERSON’S POV~“What have you done to me?!!” Agnes yelled with a gory voice.“I poisoned you, Agnes. Ordinarily, poison wouldn't be enough to kill a witch like you, but depending on how powerful the poison is, it would be enough to weaken you. The souls of the fallen Immortals despise you, Agnes. But as much as they want to escape, as souls, they're not nearly strong enough to go against the spell you put on them. It's just like Sabbath and Mary; without Mary's body, Sabbath can't use his power. So, without Agnes's body, the immortals are weak to her spells. But spells require serious mental concentration and physical reinforcement to hold together, and once those two things weaken, the spell comes apart and the souls of the Immortals have their chance to escape.” Agnes gripped her stomach tightly as she felt an agonizing pain coming up. She bled from her nose and mouth as the souls of all the Immortals began seeping out of her body and flying off. “After the Immor

All four of them still had that eerie smile on their faces, and their eyes still glowed bright red, making them look like their minds were being controlled. They walked into the glass building and led Mary to a magical elevator that didn’t require electricity to work. Mary had her guard up, prepared to launch an attack at anyone who tried to annoy her. At this moment, she was already very pissed off, and anyone who tried to attack her now would be walking into their grave. The elevator door closed and started to rise up the building. Everyone was unusually quiet, and none of Mary’s escorts wanted to make eye contact with her. Mary watched them through the glass wall in front of her—they looked like dolls, stiff and lifeless, like they had been programmed to only move when they were given orders. The elevator rose for over tw

It didn't matter what the team did or what amount of power they used; the Asuras just kept coming like an endless sea of stars. The Asuras armor-like skin had become so strong that Edith's blade and Anima Morning Star both broke on impact. The two Immortals had to summon their weapons again and again during the fight just to avoid getting killed. They had to look for a new way to kill these Immortals, and that way was to attack them at points where their armour didn't cover—the gaps in the skin that revealed their glowing orange flesh. Targeting these parts was especially difficult for the werewolves because they didn't have long-range weapons, and getting too close t
